Winter is coming... so I thought it was about time we had a thread to share our winter jumper finds.

Picked up this gem in Asda today for £22.

Great thread as I am looking for some new jumpers. I just bought this yesterday:

Ooo, jumper hunting if anyone can help!

I'm looking for an off shoulder one, similar knit/colour to the OPs, size 8/10 (depending on shape/arms), waist length.

If anyone's seen any while hunting could you poss post a link!? Ty!

candycane222 · 13/10/2021 14:00

Oooh @StiggyZardust I love that too ! Have you physically got it yet - how soft is it? (I'm always a bit worried something bought online might be itchy!)

TheOrigRights · 13/10/2021 16:51

I am a recent Uniqlo convert and this is my new jumper. In purple.

harriethoyle · 13/10/2021 16:52

I'm really struggling to find nice jumpers. I need a v neck and a slim fit otherwise my boobs make me look really dumpy and I can't find any non-boxy jumpers anywhere! Any links appreciated!

IComeInPeace · 13/10/2021 21:06

I want to post a picture of my jumper because it's too hot to wear it still

Handy thread. I've been lusting after a couple of Celtic jumpers. Any feedback on quality?

IComeInPeace · 13/10/2021 21:34

Radley of all places

[quote StiggyZardust]I've just bought this one, bit pricey but I got a money off code,

Love Celtic and co, or at least looking at their catalogues (can’t quite afford them).

Dale of Norway is another clothes company I love perusing, a Scandinavian version of Celtic and co.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 13/10/2021 22:34

Oooh love a jumper Grin

I got mine out of storage washed them and they're all drying now .

I did find a lot of them are short and boxy last year though
H&M sometimes sell the odd gem .

I'm looking for an argyle sweater but must be long enough/not lairy/not like something my Dad would wear Wink

I bought a few of the fine merino crew neck sweaters when I started wfh in March 2020 and they have stayed looking perfect despite being worn and washed a lot. I also have two lovely wool and baby alpaca ones from poetry which still look immaculate and I would highly recommend.
Sooverthemill · 14/10/2021 08:36

I've made a decision to only wear natural fabrics ( chemical hypersensitivity in my DD) so am slowly switching over my old jumpers. I've bought lots of jumpers this winter as a consequence. Sézane Bree (cotton) , Sézane Diego (merino wool), navy grey ( merino wool), max Mara ( cashmere wool/ mix), a Wyse London and a fair isle cardigan which is very Brora. All were pricey but funded via eBay sales and they should last for years if the moth doesn't get them!

www.qvcuk.com/White-Stuff-Olivia-Colourblock-Jumper.product.190423.html?sc=IROA

I bought this (in the grey/beige tones ) very nice , lightweight ( I really don't need warm , I am of the Inner Glow age )

The reviews all said "It's huge" so I think a bit if vanity sizing .
Not bought from White Stuff before so I'll see how it goes .

StiggyZardust · 23/10/2021 17:49

@candycane222 I do have it in my possession and I wore it for the first time today. It is a tiny bit scratchy but I think it will soften with time.
I love it, beautiful colours.

Squiz81 · 23/10/2021 18:29

I kept looking at that Celtic & Co jumper but it looks like there’s lots to snag on there, I can see myself catching all of those float stitches… and some of the reviews say it’s made in Romania, I want to try and buy local more.

I’ve ordered this, which is potentially a bit ridiculous, but I was so drawn to it

Adventuresat40 · 23/10/2021 18:41

@Glassofshloer I saw one in a local boutique today and was dithering over it. It was £45 and a brand called Saint Tropez, I think this is it:

QueenDanu · 23/10/2021 18:44

Those oslo jumpers make the celtic jumpers look cheap and i didnt think that was possible! Yesterday was the first day it was cold enough for my new superdry jumper.

Adventuresat40 · 23/10/2021 18:46

@IComeInPeace well, now, that is lovely and not somewhere I would usually look. How big does it come up? Usual size?
I had seen a similar one in All Saints which was a roll neck and about £50 more expensive, I procrastinated and now it seems to be out of stock.

IComeInPeace · 23/10/2021 18:57

Do you mean the superdry one ? It is a medium and im size 10/12 on top, 34b so i find the M nicely baggy but not too baggy.
I want to get the other colour which is a spiced pumpkin brown or a muted orange. Must look and see if they still have it in the other colour.

If you mean the Radley one, no idea, as that's the one i didnt buy. I really like it though. If you buy it, you tell me what the sizing is like!!

mumjustmum · 23/10/2021 19:19

@StiggyZardust love it. Just bought it in navy. Thank you!

happyinherts · 23/10/2021 20:41

Just bought a Chenille hoody in Primark for £10. It's gorgeous, and so warm. They have them in a range of colours - don't know how they fare in the wash yet, but honestly, impressed with price, quality and colour. (Mine's salmon pink).

Darceyhemingway · 23/10/2021 20:43

I'm 34 weeks pregnant and have been living in tesco jumpers they're amazing and can wear again after the baby!

Hopefuly better than the Primark chenille jumper I had .
It was a gorgeous chocolate brown. I washed it in a net bag , low temp and low spin, dried flat .
After 2 wears the number of pulls in the fabric Sad you'd have thought I'd left it in the cats' bed .
Two wears at £15 was not good .

I saw the hoodies , coveted and put them back .

coolcahuna · 23/10/2021 21:04

@SlateCoaster

Anyone ever ordered from Quiz? I remember they had a section in Debenhams and they were quite hit and miss. They had the odd nice item, but I'd have to hunt for it amongst the rest of their items which always seemed quite.. tacky.

Just seen this on their website. Love the sleeves on it and the pattern. It's £29.99.

I love this! I've got a navy jumper like this with ruffled sleeves and worn it so much. In fact I think I will wear it tomorrow. Defo worth giving this one a whirl I think.
