What colour of tights and ankle boots with navy dress?

I’ve been wearing navy tights and navy ankle boots but it’s far too much blue. What’s the alternatives?

Or knee high black boots.

I wear similar with skinny jeans, but sadly they don't work with dresses on me on my wee short legs, and they're a bit too casual for my office.

I would normally wear black opaques and black ankle boots . That's what I wear with any colour dress though. I would normally choose to wear the same colour tights and ankle boots; different colour boots only if they were full length boots .

I'd wear nude tights and navy shoes/boots.

Navy and black is chic. And of course you can wear ankle boots with a dress, depending on the boots and dress - don’t listen to the pp who said it’s not a vibe.

I intend to - I’ve worn ankle boots with dresses for years, not about to stop now!

Plum or burgundy tights

Def same colour tights and boots. Pref brown, but then you do need a brown or navy handbag too. Grey tights only with grey boots! 😀

I too feel a bit weird about that combo but find it works really well if I add some black on top to balance out the black legs and feet. Normally a black cardi or top showing under the dress. Black accessories e.g. belt, big earrings, headband would also work.

I've bought some brown ankle boots to give that combo a try and am going for the navy/black combo tomorrow for work. Loud and proud.

Leopard boots and then you can wear with grey tights for a neutral look with a bit more interest than plain brown boots.
