Jumpsuits - out of my comfort zone. Is this ok?

I love jumpsuits on other people, and have been looking for one for ages. I'm very much a jeans and t shirt person though and struggle with knowing what suits me. I've also put on some weight with pregnancy/lockdown so my body shape has changed. I'm 5'10 with shortish legs and a long body, so lots of jumpsuits just don't fit.

Is this one ok? It's very comfortable, but do I look like I'm wearing pyjamas?

You look lovely - I'd say it's too fitted for anyone to mistake that for pyjamas!

Verbena87 · 27/06/2021 14:16

Looks great, definitely not loungewear

idontlikealdi · 27/06/2021 14:16

Looks lovely, maybe nit the shoes though

LoganRoy · 27/06/2021 14:17

You look great! Agreed definitely not pyjamas.

DariaMorgendorffer · 27/06/2021 14:17

Looks great

RightOnTheEdge · 27/06/2021 14:18

I think you look great OP Smile

PurpleDaisies · 27/06/2021 14:20

Where’s it from? You look great in it.

HollyBollyBooBoo · 27/06/2021 14:20

Gorgeous! Not the shoes though x

JofraArchersFastestBall · 27/06/2021 14:34

Thank you! The shoes are my slippers... perhaps I should have changed them if I was trying not to look like I'm in my pjs! I've got some flat black sandals that I think would be ok with it.

It's from people tree via ebay, so I'm glad you think it's ok - I hate having to re sell things!

John Lewis seem to think I should be wearing it the other way round - but I think I prefer the v at the front.

If anyone has bought any casual, easy to wear jumpsuits recently I'd love to see them. I'm excited to wear something that's not jeans!

It looks nicer on you than on the model

RubyFowler · 27/06/2021 14:40

Its lovely! Looks great!

ButItRingsAndIRise · 27/06/2021 14:44

it looks a bit PJ-ish to me. Sorry.

NameChange456789 · 27/06/2021 14:54

I really like it

beigebrownblue · 27/06/2021 14:55

I love the asquith ones as they are sustainably made.
Expensive usually but look out for the summer sale and they are often a fraction of the price.

RockingMyFiftiesNot · 27/06/2021 15:03

Another vote for 'not pyjamaish' (the slippers probably make it seem more like that)
I think it's lovely, fits well and it suits you.
Personally I think it doesn't look great with the trainers in the JL pic - I'd say more sandals or pumps, something which shows a bit of skin between footwear and the trousers.

QueenBee52 · 27/06/2021 15:42

it's lovely on you but I'd prefer it way looser on me... I'm a comfort freak lol Flowers

JosephineDeBeauharnais · 27/06/2021 15:46

Nothing wrong with your figure, but the jumpsuit is clearly back to front and too small.

Figgygal · 27/06/2021 15:47

It’s lovely op
I’m the same as you 5’10” short in the leg long in the body I tend to buy a size up in jumpsuits to avoid camel toe
Might go look for that one myself

JofraArchersFastestBall · 27/06/2021 16:07

Too small, oh dear! I've gone up from a 12 to a 14... I don't think I'm mentally prepared to buy another size up yet Confused

well you still look fabulous... I'm in the same position.. but I like loose clothing in general.. If I looked like you, I'd be wearing fitted Grin Flowers

BuffySummersReportingforSanity · 27/06/2021 16:42

I mean, you need better shoes, but other than that it looks good.

LoganRoy · 27/06/2021 16:46

I don’t think it looks too small Confused

ZaraW · 27/06/2021 16:46

I prefer the way it's styled on the model. It's definitely a looser look on JL. I also think you may have to get the next size.

linerforlife · 27/06/2021 16:47

It doesn't look too small! It looks lovely!

TheYearOfSmallThings · 27/06/2021 16:47

I wouldn't have spotted that it was backwards, but I do think it looks too small. Not in the sense of looking tight, just that it almost fits too well, when it should have a more generous volume of fabric and slight slouchiness? I suspect it was designed for a shorter person with a slighter frame.
