Jumpsuits - out of my comfort zone. Is this ok?

I love jumpsuits on other people, and have been looking for one for ages. I'm very much a jeans and t shirt person though and struggle with knowing what suits me. I've also put on some weight with pregnancy/lockdown so my body shape has changed. I'm 5'10 with shortish legs and a long body, so lots of jumpsuits just don't fit.

Is this one ok? It's very comfortable, but do I look like I'm wearing pyjamas?

It looks really nice. You want light coloured shoes though to keep it summery.

Cowbells · 27/06/2021 16:58

@WhoNeedsaManOfTheWorld

It looks nicer on you than on the model
Yes it does.
RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 27/06/2021 17:05

I like it but would like to see it the right way round! Agree that it might be a wee bit tight.

4fingerKitKat · 27/06/2021 17:08

I’d agree it looks a touch on the small side - length-wise as much as anything. Feel your pain though as I would love to own a jump suit and never found one that I can wear as I’m 6ft.

JofraArchersFastestBall · 27/06/2021 17:18

Here it is the other way round. I think it's supposed to go both ways - it's v at the front on the people tree website (in a slightly different print)

It looks way better on you than on the models! I like the v at the front best.

Looks like it is meant it be ankle length?
HereticFanjo · 27/06/2021 17:38

I think it looks great!

accentdusoleil · 27/06/2021 17:45

It looks lovely. I like the V at the back but think both ways look great .

Once you put your makeup and hair on you'll feel less pyjama~esque. Plus, just act really confident .

accentdusoleil · 27/06/2021 17:46

PS.... I'd much rather go on a night out with you than the Model: she looks dull as dishwater

NotquitewhatImeant · 27/06/2021 17:49

It looks fantastic on you, and I think the size is perfect

Orf1abc · 27/06/2021 17:53

It's not too small as such, just the proportions are wrong. It doesn't look like you're particularly comfortable in it.

You have a beautiful figure. Look for something that fits you better.

Frazzledd · 27/06/2021 17:54

It looks great, definitely not too small, much prefer the V at the back.

I agree some light coloured shoes.

(Off to dig out my jumpsuits, you've inspired me out of loungewear!)

Slub · 27/06/2021 18:00

It looks lovely on you either way round and you have gorgeous hair too 😍

ashmts · 27/06/2021 18:00

Oh it's not too small at all, I like the more fitted look. You look amazing. I'd say V to the back, it looks like it fits better round the middle (well, crotch) with the V to the back too. I'd probably wear with white trainers.

I've got some casual jumpsuits from ASOS, Only and La Redoute recently but I'm 5'2 so I imagine my recommendations are a bit useless to you. One thing I've started doing is wearing a t-shirt under strappy or sleeveless jumpsuits, it makes them more casual and easier to wear. I struggle to find nice short sleeved jumpsuits.

merryhouse · 27/06/2021 18:03

Are you sure you have shortish legs? You're showing a lot more calf than the JL model is. That may be why people think it's on the small side. That and the fact that there's no overhang at the waist on you.

I like it, and I don't think it looks anything like pyjamas - possibly because it's not as loose as jumpsuits often are. (I'm an 80s girl myself so prefer a tighter fit but I don't think it's particularly now.) I can't form an opinion on the back-to-front argument because the fitting is so different between you and the model - can you show us the other way round on you? I'd have thought it would be obvious on anyone with any kind of bust Grin

Second this- Can we see it the ' right' way round?
spotcheck · 27/06/2021 18:08

Oops- you did...

Definitely better fit the intended way round

You look fantastic in it.

😊

merryhouse · 27/06/2021 18:09

(gah, could have sworn I'd refreshed Grin)

That picture definitely looks better - though the v looks much bigger, even allowing for the fact that your shoulder blades are awkwardly positioned.

Oddly enough, I think I prefer the v-neck, but the fit looks better the other way.

Amdone123 · 27/06/2021 18:13

You look great in it. Amazing figure !

Tanaqui · 27/06/2021 18:25

I think the fit looks much better with the V at the back-- and less pyjama like too. It suits you!

JemIsMyNameNooneElseIsTheSame · 27/06/2021 18:35

I feel like it needs pulling up a little to sit higher on your waist?

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 27/06/2021 20:03

Much better fit with the v at the back - it looks lovely.

QueenBee52 · 27/06/2021 23:57

Im amazed ... how just turning around looks so good lol x

Pulloverjumperorsweater · 28/06/2021 00:07

You don’t look like a size 14 - & might I add there’s nothing wrong with being size 14 - but You look really slim!

Personally I prefer jumpsuits in block colours
