So P50 is bloody amazing- any other equally amazing products out there?

So I splurged on P 50 less than a week ago( it is expensive) thanks to the help of lovely posters on here.
Seriously nothing has ever done to my face in 5 days what this stuff is doing . It’s hard to believe what I’m seeing. I will never be without.
Is there anything else that is this amazing?
I do use retin A but this is WAY better results wise.

What is P50? Is it this?
embassyofbeauty.co.uk/products/lotion-p50
A moisturiser?
But also they have that bloody annoying thing of not showing the price, having to register with email address etc.

Following out of interest! What does it do that's so great?

botemp · 14/02/2021 09:31

Glad to hear it was money well spent in the end Smile I'd say my (very predictable) holy trinity that is not Tret is, P50, Skinceuticals CE ferulic (but this varies per person but to me it's still the best vitamin C I've used) and Paula's Choice perfecting liquid 2% BHA (although I don't really use this anymore, tret and P50 sort of take away the need for it as a standalone).

Currently I'm really enjoying the Hada Labo HA toner with tranexamic acid, it might get cult status in my routine, potentially. It turns me into an ethereal ghost (it's not whitening, it just gives a really even skin tone and helps with PIH and PIE so eliminates all redness).

From Biologique Recherche itself, the placenta cream (yes , not human though) is absolutely amazing, but it's very rich which makes me break out if I were to use it regularly so I always just beg for the samples when I buy my P50 and use it occasionally as an overnight mask, it makes your skin like a newborn's.

BigButtons · 14/02/2021 09:45

@botemp thanks. I have used the hada labo for years- use their face wash too.
I make my own c serum- it’s very basic but is at least made fresh.
I can’t quite believe what p50 has done.
My NL lines had become really deep, red and angry looking- looked old and saggy. The p50 has made them go crusty- not the best look- that will pass- but , I can’t describe it, it’s like it has freed up the skin somehow and allowed it to lift back up and not fold in on itself. I was developing deeper crows feet round my eyes and the p50 has dramatically reduced those too.
It tingles a bit but no redness at all.

Where can you buy this other than online? I have never come across the brand before.

reading the website it sounds similar to Liquid gold. Is it better?

botemp · 14/02/2021 09:57

Yes, while most acid toners claim to have humectant properties I find that P50 actually does as well as being an excellent exfoliator. Skin is somehow a bit more 'juicier' for lack of a better word. I like to call it feotus skin in a bottle but it is definitely a product for those experienced with skincare and an understanding of their own skin.

I think what these products tend to prove that while ingredients matter, formulation is key, and it's not something you can read off of the back of an INCI, annoyingly, that usually comes at a cost but it does mean you only need a handful of products instead of ten thousand the ordinary serums Hmm

MadisonMontgomery · 14/02/2021 10:01

Can I ask where you got it from? I remember hearing about it a few years ago but couldn’t find anywhere in the UK that seemed legit to purchase from.

I don’t know about liquid gold. I bought mine from a shop called Beauty M. You can only buy online and you have to register with the various websites. I did with about three and the first that got back to me got a sale. They tried to sell me the least powerful version which makes sense for those not used to acids or who have more sensitive skin. I know my skin is like as sensitive as a rhino hide so I asked for the strongest in the line and that was a good choice for me. It is eye wateringly expensive . It is the only product that I have spent that much money on ever.

Yes! Just looked in the mirror- not long been up- drank too much wine last night- skin dehydrated and I have Pmt skin also, technically-no moisturiser applied yet- it should look shocking and depressing . However it looks plump and soft .

What do you call shockingly expensive Big?

I'd rather spend a bomb on one or two things that work well than a bomb on fifty things that are just...meh. Never quite sure whether they are doing anything or not. I never look amazing, so I tell myself I'd probably look a lot worse without them. Grin

Lol! That’s very true. Well postage included it’s £75 for 150 ml. That’s a lot for me at the moment and feels like a shocking luxury. This should last me a good while. Next time I shall definitely get the bigger bottle.

Yeah it’s great. I also really like the copper serum from niod. I don’t know what it does but even my mum who is not given to compliments said my skin looked great after using it. Again expensive but good.

Coffee4Queen · 14/02/2021 21:13

@BigButtons I’m extremely envious. I splurged on it about 9 months and have been using it daily. I haven’t seen a difference so it has expensive mistake for me :(

wowier · 14/02/2021 21:18

is it this

BigButtons · 14/02/2021 21:23

@Coffee4Queen how very annoying. Did you get the p50 or one of the variants? I would be gutted if I’d spent that much for no results😲
@wowier yes that’s the one- I got the plain 50( strongest one I believe)🙂

OP posts:
BigButtons · 14/02/2021 21:24

@FreeButtonBee I used Niod years ago. Strong stuff but because I also use retin A and vit c I found it tricky to fit in.

OP posts:
Coffee4Queen · 14/02/2021 22:02

@BigButtons the original one :(

botemp · 14/02/2021 22:22

Coffee, how are you applying it? I know a lot of people just pat it in with hands but I think most ends up on your hands as it absorbs quickly or they just wipe. I do as they showed me how, like in this video by somewhat dabbing/patting it in. The Muji cotton (the unbleached ones) are really good for this as they release the product well.

BigButtons · 14/02/2021 22:29

@Coffee4Queen bummer😧

I've always been intrigued by this product but have yet to try it as it's not just a matter of add to basket and click the paypal button.

Wond3rment · 14/02/2021 23:35

This sounds interesting

schmalex · 15/02/2021 16:23

I'm so pleased to hear this! I have a facial booked at Biologique Recherche in a couple of weeks and I'm hoping they're going to make my skin amazing.

workshy44 · 15/02/2021 16:30

Most of the product line is equally amazing. I have been using it for about 4 years and I look younger now that I did 10 years ago. I went to a funeral (pre covid) and I met people who I had worked with over 20 years ago. They were all like OMG you look EXACTLY the same, you haven't aged
Pre BR products people generally thought I looked WAY older than I was and I do not have good skin naturally.
The problem is they have a lot of products and are designed against specific skin instants so you need to meet with a facilist to determine your skin type, what the needs are etc
There are some universal products like serum Elastine (fine lines) VG Tensil (sagging)

BigButtons · 15/02/2021 16:38

@schmalex wow lucky you! Do let us know how you get onSmile.
