So P50 is bloody amazing- any other equally amazing products out there?

So I splurged on P 50 less than a week ago( it is expensive) thanks to the help of lovely posters on here.
Seriously nothing has ever done to my face in 5 days what this stuff is doing . It’s hard to believe what I’m seeing. I will never be without.
Is there anything else that is this amazing?
I do use retin A but this is WAY better results wise.

@workshy44

Most of the product line is equally amazing. I have been using it for about 4 years and I look younger now that I did 10 years ago. I went to a funeral (pre covid) and I met people who I had worked with over 20 years ago. They were all like OMG you look EXACTLY the same, you haven't aged Pre BR products people generally thought I looked WAY older than I was and I do not have good skin naturally. The problem is they have a lot of products and are designed against specific skin instants so you need to meet with a facilist to determine your skin type, what the needs are etc There are some universal products like serum Elastine (fine lines) VG Tensil (sagging)
I would love to book myself in for a consultation one day- post lockdowns and restrictions. I'd better start saving. The p50 is doing wonders for my fine and not so fine lines. You must have been really chuffed with the compliments, it makes such a difference to your self confidence.Smile

To warn you though it is seriously expensive. P50 is one of the cheapest products but they all do last a long time
I have tried every high end brand and to be honest their stuff is nothing short of miraculous, you wake up with a new face everyday
I was out with a friend and our 18 year old daughters, granted she is about 10 years older than me but we bumped into someone she knew and he was like " are these your three daughters - including me !!) I don't look that young, I look my age (mind 40's) but good for it probably but my skin was woeful before and I definitely looked older than I was

timetest · 15/02/2021 16:56

Sounds interesting. Can you use this stuff in addition to tret or would that be overload?

That must have felt great! I do facial exercises etc and they help but I think adding another BR product will help even more. I think my budget can only really stretch to one other- much as I would like more. Just working out which other product is a good all round 'go to' - like P50. It will be a long time, I think, before any salons re open here ( uk)...

@timetest I do use tret BUT am not using it at the moment until my skin gets used to the p50. Although tbh the p50 has done more for my face in less than a week than years of tret ever did Confused

I don't think it is advised to use both together
Depending on your skin type, people think masque Vernix is a game changer. I don't as I have oily skin
Look at their Instagram, they have interviews their facialists and asked them what is their hero product and under rated one. You will get a good idea there
One that is considered the best mask in the world is Masque Vivant. it is one of their cheaper products and they say if you use it twice a week you will never age. I wouldn't go that far but its 50 quid - it is for more oily skin though

FreeButtonBee · 15/02/2021 17:49

Yes that mask vernix is fabulous but I’ve only used a sample. Can’t quite bring myself to buy it and then want to use it forever.

botemp · 15/02/2021 17:55

Yes, masque vernix is the placenta cream I mentioned previously. I didn't think masque vivant was anything special. I like their lait u cleansers, but really they're just nice cleansers to use.

You have to be really careful with P50 and tret use, it's not adviced. It can be done but you really have to know your skin well and definitely don't use them in the same routine. I'm getting P50 specially formulated for the scalp next.

Timpeall · 15/02/2021 18:19

Why is it relatively difficult to buy their products? Is it to do with the brand wanting to retain an air of exclusivity?

workshy44 · 15/02/2021 18:26

No its because their products are designed for various skin instants so you need consultation and analysis to get the best regime for you.
As mentioned about there are some universal products but not many

Timpeall · 15/02/2021 18:28

Ah, okay. That makes sense. So it's to prevent people buying several strong products chucking them on their face and then wondering why their skin is peeling off.

Corkina · 15/02/2021 18:36

Hi BigButtons, which exact product do you use. There seems to be 3 - p50w p50v and p50 pixm 400

There are 4 ! well in the uk. I use the p50(not w,v or 400) and i think @botemp uses the 400? It suits my skin very well, but might be strong for some(sensitive)/ those not used to acids etc?

£450!! for the placenta stuff 🤯 i want it

botemp · 15/02/2021 18:50

Yes, I use PIGM 400, it's slightly brightening and not as strong as the regular which works best for me but the advice is to always start with P50W, especially if you're new to it. If you're new to acids altogether start with a damp cotton to apply it with and work up to a dry cotton and definitely start using it 1-2x a week and build up to every (other) day. See the video I posted above on how to apply.

Where are you seeing these prices? Masque Vernix is around €150.

yes- when I was in online 'negotiations' for the stronger bottle I explained to the assistant which stronger products I had already used and could tolerate before she was 'happy' to sent me the 50 rather than the W.

@botemp I googled it, thank you as I could maybe justify that then.

It's great but you definitely need to be on the dry side. I'm normal/combo and it's just too rich for regular use. I'd buy it without a thought if it ever came out in a lighter version and I'm someone who usually refuses to pay much for moisturisers as the blander the better, there's no such thing as magic moisturisers, hope in a jar, etc.

They do do samples, so probably worth asking if you're tempted.

brownet · 15/02/2021 19:15

Thank you I will. I have normal to dry skin. New to all the acid stuff but mid 30s & need help now 😆

Angbunnyboo · 15/02/2021 19:18

Is the P50 better than the PIG400? Is there really any difference?

Also, have just started Skin & Me, would it be ok to use this with it? The Skin&Me doesn't seem to have caused any reaction so far.

There is no 'better' it's entirely individual. I would not be trying P50 (any version) when still in the starting phases of Tret. Tret takes 6 months to show results (and it's not even that evident, it really is a long game) so stick with that and contemplate P50 when you're further down the process.
Angbunnyboo · 15/02/2021 19:36

Thanks Bo - I'm only a week in to the Tret so maybe I should be patient and give it a chance to work! I'm so impatient if someone told me elephant dung made a difference I'd probably try it!

I just want the skin I had when I was a youngster, and I know that at 42 thats not likely to happen :(

workshy44 · 15/02/2021 19:42

Placenta is one of their cheaper creams, I think it is about 55 so not sure where you are getting 450 from

BigButtons · 15/02/2021 19:45

@botemp I have just emailed the people I bought the P50 through to see if I can blag a sample of the masque vivant- if you don't ask the answer's always no. They did send a couple of samples but that wasn't one of them. Heliocare and something else ( that I can't locate).
Thanks for the ideaSmile

botemp · 15/02/2021 19:48

If you like the pore refining effect of a clay mask but hate the feel of them, the masque VIP 02 is nice to blag a sample of too Wink (would not bother buying it though).
