Help me find a ‘everyday’ necklace please

My 30th is coming up in January & I would really like a nice ‘everyday’ necklace.

Please share your ideas/your pretty necklaces - I don’t really know what I want.

I was searching for ages and then found several lovely ones in TKMaxx for around £20 each.

Monica Vinader have a brilliant company value around sustainability and offer a lifetime repair service for repairs, replating and re-sizing.

Aurum & Grey are great for subtle everyday jewellery in all metals.

White gold needs re-plating with rhodium every so often so that's something to consider. Silver might be better and can easily be cleaned with a toothbrush and hot soapy water (ex jewellery shop assistant).

I've worn my Alex Monroe silver bee for about 8 years now- never take it off!

Mine is an Alex Monroe feather, but I'm on the look-out for something a bit less delicate.

I have several everyday gold chains and add pendants to them. You can collect them down the years. I’m a fan of Annoushka. There are great second hand vintage pieces too - just look for on line vintage. I avoid makes that are everywhere or my DDs had when they were 13! From a certain store on 5th Avenue, NY.

A friend got me this for my 30th and, 7 years later, I still wear it all the time. I don’t think they make it anymore but there’ll be loads of similar stuff out there. It’s just a simple gold disc on a chain and goes with pretty much everything. Happy birthday and enjoy the browsing!

Personally I think Tiffany are overpriced.

Well of course. But you are buying the name. I think there are wonderful designers who create something special and unique. I never buy silver as it goes black on me but you don’t have to spend much to get original design.

@bendmeoverbackwards nope but I’ve managed to whittle it down to a few websites now that a few lovely people have recommended on here. So it’s just going through them again & making my mind up.

Gentle diamonds are created in a lab so there is no diamond farming/exploitation. There is a page on the CARAT LONDON website where it explains all about them.

Thank you @ToadCandle I had no idea that diamond mining was unethical. I had been looking for some diamond stud earrings, these lab diamonds look beautiful and are much cheaper.

@PresentingPercy I am a big fan of Annoushka too! DH bought me the bee lovelock for our anniversary and I adore it.
I like jewellers who design and make their own work, but I am not a fan of big names like Tiffany (super conservative) or Pandora etc
