If you are 5'3 how much do you weigh?

And what size are you?

I weigh 9 stone 4lbs after losing 22lbs. My clothes are size 10 but they feel looser now.

I've seen some comments on this board that above 9 stone is chubby for someone of my height. I am still trying to lose weight so I want an idea of a goal weight to aim for.

I'm 11st but I'm 67. When I was 25 I was 8st 10. I'm dieting and my goal is 10 stone but when I first joined WW my goal was 9 st. Are you comfortable at your current weight?

Autumnwoman · 26/10/2020 18:37

I'm 5'3 and a half!

I'm a shade under 55kg which is 8 stone 9.

I feel heavier than I should be. I'm a size 10, but clothes are right across the stomach and I sometimes have to reach for a 12.

MissDollyMix · 26/10/2020 18:37

I’m 5’3 (and a very important half!) and I currently weigh around 8st 6lb. Size 8-10. Workout quite a lot so some of that is muscle. For years I was between 7st10-8st so I feel quite heavy these days.

CareerFuckerUpper · 26/10/2020 18:38

I'm roughly 9st5. I'm pretty athletic though. My biceps are larger than my boobs not difficult

MissDollyMix · 26/10/2020 18:39

Should also say I have very small boobs! I think that has a an influence on weight. If you’re generously curved you’re not going to weigh the same as someone flat chested (like me)

NorthGirl2 · 26/10/2020 18:39

I feel ok at my weight but I don't like my tummy - everything else is fine. It seems I lose weight everywhere but the middle!

MN weight threads are not healthy. You are a very healthy weight at the moment, and what most would consider a perfect clothes size. What other people weigh is irrelevant.

Purplewithred · 26/10/2020 18:41

5' 2 ½ and 60kg, which is a good 3kg too much. I'm 62 and finding it really hard to get rid of the extra. Fighting weight was always 8 ½ stone.

I find Pilates is a godsend for keeping my tummy flat. If I have a couple of weeks off I quickly start to notice my tummy start to loose shape.

Letseatgrandma · 26/10/2020 18:44

10 stone, though with big boobs. I wear a 12 bottoms and 14/16 even sometimes in tops. I don’t like my stomach much either and definitely consciously dress to hide it.

Would be much more comfortable at 9 stone.

CareerFuckerUpper · 26/10/2020 18:45

Sorry, didn't say my size. I'm a 10-12,occasionally my muscular build mean a 14 top or dress if I buy from somewhere without vanity sizing. My bottom half almost always a 10, sometimes 10s are roomy.

roxyfoxy89 · 26/10/2020 18:46

It entirely depends on your shape, please don't compare yourself to others. Comparison is the thief of all joy as a wise person once told me!
I'm 5ft3 and I weigh 10 stone, but I don't think the average person would look at me and say I was overweight. I have a big bum, big boobs and curvy thighs, so for me 10 stone is about right. When I was exercising a lot more I weighed about 9 stone and looking back at pictures it didn't suit me at all, I looked too skinny.
So don't worry about anyone else, try and get to what makes YOU happy

JeanMichelBisquiat · 26/10/2020 18:47

5'2 and back down to 53kgs, where I feel v comfortable (was 50kg ish until after I had second DC, then went up to 61kg with stress and extreme sleep deprivation). Honestly, it's hard to keep it off nowadays, and the only way I can do it is by limiting my calorie intake; I don't go hungry, but there's not room for manoeuvre in the way there used to be!

JeanMichelBisquiat · 26/10/2020 18:47

I'm afraid I was definitely looking chubby over 9 stone.

woodlandwalker · 26/10/2020 18:49

I'm 5ft 3" and 9st 6lb, having lost one stone this year. I'm post menopausal and was skinny when younger, usually around 7st 7lb.
I am a size 14 to 16 and it always amazes that people the same height and weight are 10 or 12. I need to lose at least another stone to be size 12 and think I would look gaunt at my age.

tobermoryisthebestwomble · 26/10/2020 18:49

I'm 5'4" and 9st2. My ideal weight is 8st 10 however I am too lazy to have the kind of self control required to reduce alcohol/cheese/crisps which is what would be required to get me to my fighting weight.

I wear a 10 bottoms and a 10/12 top. I work out 2-3 times per week and eat really well excepting the cheese/wine/crisps.

I am more of an apple at this size, and carry a bit more weight around my tummy. When I'm slim my figure is mor boyish as I'm very slim on hips/thighs/bum.

SWLondonTown · 26/10/2020 18:52

I’m 5’2 and a half and have always been 7.5 stone whilst not pregnant. I have a very small frame though

ParadeOfRemotes · 26/10/2020 18:52

I'm 5ft3in. At 9st definitely looked/felt slim, happy and healthy. At 9st7lbs (damn you lockdown) I am feeling just a smidge chubby although my clothes (10/12 depending on brand) all fit fine.

katieak · 26/10/2020 18:52

I don't think there is one weight that suits all. I'm 5'3 and at my smallest I weighed 8st12. You could see my ribs through my chest and I was always cold. Too skinny! 9st4 - 9st7 is perfect for me. But my mum is the same height but at 9st4 she feels big (she's not, she's tiny) but she is a dress size bigger. She sits comfortably at 8st8 or 9 but looks "normal" at that weight. Don't compare yourself! You're a healthy weight so that's what matters!

EdwardCullensBiteOnTheSide · 26/10/2020 18:52

I'm 10stone 7. I was nearly 12 stone early this year, but I'm running 5k every other day and doing 16/8. I feel much better but now I'm used to being a bit lighter I want to be lighter still, I was aiming for 10 stone as that's what I was when I was younger and i felt great then. But after my children I've got a tummy and I think I realistically need to lose at least another stone to feel slim. I've got big boobs though so doesn't help.

Skyliner001 · 26/10/2020 18:53

8.2 due to recent anxiety. Happy weight is 8.6. But I'm very curvy, 25 inch waist and large butt and boobs. Feel too big at 9.3 X

Skyliner001 · 26/10/2020 18:54

Everyone is different though!

SummerHouse · 26/10/2020 18:54

Go by your clothes. Go by how you feel. It varies massively from person to person so there is no point in comparison. You've done amazing. Well done.

Vital stats: 5'4" / 9 stone / cotton thread legs / big rolly stomach

ILoveMyMonkey · 26/10/2020 18:55

These threads are always so interesting to see what different clothing sizes people are at the same height but different weights. I'm 5ft3 (and also a half) wear size 16 bottom, 14 top 36DD (very much a pear shape) and currently weigh 11st11. Before lockdown I weighed 10st8 and was in a 14 bottom and 12 top.
