Also hate the elasticiness of the waist of tights. Always find myself cutting with scissors the top waist band because is so bloody uncomfortable.

NineUnlikelyTales · 28/09/2007 12:26

Hold ups don't hold up on me due to insufficient thigh (height and width and I can't be doing with stockings and suspenders. Too druaghty anyway.

filthymindedvixen · 28/09/2007 12:27

I have 2 lovely pairs of high heeld ankle strap shoes which I can wear for no more than 10 monutes before my toes fall off. They make my legs loog soo beautiful, but just cannot do heels sniff.

puddle · 28/09/2007 12:27

Can't wear hold-ups (worry they will descend so start to walk as though I am trying to carry a balloon between my thighs).

I heart woolly tights (also always chilly)

pooka · 28/09/2007 12:27

And hate socks with too tight elastic at the top. Yuk.

NomDePlume · 28/09/2007 12:27

I am cleaning today and nursing poorly DD who is off school with d&v, am wearing a slobby cream hoody and a pair of Monsoon jeans.

codswallop · 28/09/2007 12:28

I am generally too hot than too cold.

DaisyMOO · 28/09/2007 12:29

Dresses or skirts full stop. Out here in the sticks everyone literally goggles at you if you wear anything other than jeans/cords (or tweed if you're over 40!) Wearing make-up leads to rumours of extra-marital affairs

ConnorTraceptive · 28/09/2007 12:30

You're dressed better than i am Nondeplume. Am also cleaning and nursing sick ds. I'm wearing DH's "housetrousers" and one of his t-shirts. If the door bell goes I'm going to hide.

RosaLuxembourg · 28/09/2007 12:31

My daily routine is very like yours Cod and I wear dresses most of the time - I have at least 12.
The thing I covet but never wear is sparkly clothes and high heels - I have no social life, and anyway here in rural Devon dressing up means changing into a clean fleece.

sfxmum · 28/09/2007 12:32

high hell strappy sandals

BarefootShirl · 28/09/2007 12:32

Can't stand tights - just feel too enclosed. Have to admit to a few very stylish (= expensive according to DH!) dresses and skirts that are yet to see the light of day - always think I need them when I see them in the shop but then don't go out often enough to wear them. Just wouldn't look right doing the school run and waiting at the gates in LBD .

Twiglett · 28/09/2007 12:32

high hell strappy sandals

well exactly

princessmel · 28/09/2007 12:33

I wear both of those in the OP.

I love them.

I'd like a nice coat but they are not practical. I need hoods and waterproofing. My sister works in an office and has lovely coats. Very non SAHM mumish. She has no kids.

fryalot · 28/09/2007 12:33

these

ConnorTraceptive · 28/09/2007 12:35

I loved my non SAHM wardrobe [sigh] so impractical and lovely. Teeny tiny handbags [mourn]

MintyDixCharrington · 28/09/2007 12:45

I'm wearing a sweaterdress today actually. with kneelength boods

v comfy and good sahm wear I think.

florenceuk · 28/09/2007 12:46

nice dresses for going out in. I go to one posh event a year if I am lucky.
And summer dresses - this year anyway!

MintyDixCharrington · 28/09/2007 12:46

oooh and having seen twigs post I also have a pair of fabulous prada patent high heels

they have rubber heels

so I think they are v practical in the country as I can hose the whole lot down when they get muddy

don't dare to read the rest of the thread now

Piggy · 28/09/2007 12:46

Oh yes Connor. Teeny tiny handbags.. [wistful]

Anna8888 · 28/09/2007 12:49

A mink coat.

Fimbo · 28/09/2007 12:49

I don't drive and given that every day this week it has poured with rain it wouldn't be good tottering along in heel heels and a dress. I do have them, just never wear them.

This week I have worn nothing but my Hula jeans from New Look (N.B. hate New Look but these jeans are fab for £10 - I have 3 pairs) and my bargain ski-jacket from TK Maxx.

I covet high heeled sexy boots - but alas would make me look like a giraffe

nailpolish · 28/09/2007 12:50

nice high heel boots
smart trousers

i love smart trousers. sometimes i put them on and then take them off again to replace with jeans as cleaning etc seems daft in samrt trousers
