I can't get an appointment till the 14th July but it's better than nothing.
I've never been so excited in my life

Flowersmakemyday · 23/06/2020 22:24

I can't wait, mines not been done since December so desperately needs cutting.

VivaVegas · 23/06/2020 22:33

I cannot wait! The current state of my hair is making me feel very miserable as it looks awful!

DramaAlpaca · 23/06/2020 22:35

I got a text from my hairdresser the other day with an appointment. It made me feel happy all day, I can't wait.

FizzyPink · 23/06/2020 22:37

I’ve got mine booked in for 5th July. It desperately needs doing but I’m not looking forward to sitting with a mask on for 3 hours.

Also does anyone know about whether they’ll be allowed to do blow drys?

Bellablahhole · 23/06/2020 22:37

Me! Had a call from my hairdresser this evening and my appointment is booked Grin

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 23/06/2020 22:38

Me, but in Scotland so no idea when it might be. SO jealous of everyone with appointments. I am not fussed about pub, shops, cinema etc, I just want my hair done!

happyclappyc · 23/06/2020 22:43

Mine is booked in. My hairdresser has a home salon so only seeing one client at a time when she opens.

FizzyPink · 23/06/2020 22:51

I’m booked in for a full head of highlights and cut. They did say when I booked though that they couldn’t be 100% they’d be able to do every service but I think that should be okay based on today’s update.
My hairdresser who I’ve been going to for the last 10 years very sadly lost her mum to Covid so won’t be going back to work so they’ve booked me in with someone else so crossing my fingers she’s as good!

princessTiasmum · 23/06/2020 23:43

I hate going to hairdressers, never turns out as i want
Always do my own, used to be a hairdresser ,long time ago,
I have just got mine as i like it, cut coloured and highlighted

uncomfortablydumb53 · 24/06/2020 04:44

My cut and colour is booked for 8th July
I hope she's up for a challenge
I normally have it done every 6 weeks,I'm shocked how grey I am underneath the colour! I can't wait

StarlightLady · 24/06/2020 08:04

Booked in! And ready to get told off for a few DIY “mirror trims”.

Needingsupportplease · 24/06/2020 09:45

I'm booked for 14th July too! So excited!

MrsSpenserGregson · 24/06/2020 09:49

I thought I'd be more excited at the thought - I want/need a full head of highlights and a trim - but, having worn a facemark for the first time yesterday in the opticians, I'm not sure I can sit for hours in a chair wearing one. Also not sure if I'm comfortable with someone not related to me being in my personal space for so long! My hairdresser is due to call next week to rearrange my missed appointments, so I'll see how I feel then I guess ...

MadisonAvenue · 24/06/2020 14:02

I’ve got mine booked but I can’t have my usual dry cut. My hairdresser said that they have to wash your hair before it can be cut. I hate having my hair washed at a salon and was hoping to be in and out in 10 minutes, which is what usually happens, but now I’m booked in for a cut and blow dry.

IHaveNoHair · 24/06/2020 14:08

Do you not realise what a huge risk you are taking being in such close proximity to someone for so long? I do not think masks will be adequate protection and the hairdryer blowing virus particles all around the room! I shudder just thinking about it.

I will not be going to a hairdressers again in this climate.

Inspiralcarpetry · 24/06/2020 14:10

I'm in on 6th July and am so excited! Ours want to do a hair wash and cut but no blow dry. I don't mind, I looked in the mirror today and realised I look like a roadie for Black Sabbath so I need re-feminising! I'm the girliest usually, but my ironic band T shirt and trousers combo today plus grown out layers is not my finest moment...

petermaysawthefuture · 24/06/2020 14:14

I'm a hairdresser and government guidance states that we have to wear a visor but the client doesn't have to wear a mask at all, which I don't think is right really.
There is also no official guidance about whether you can have a dry cut or not so that's up to the individual stylist.

Inspiralcarpetry · 24/06/2020 14:25

That's interesting. We've been asked to wear a mask, not bring any bags, waiting is outside or in your car, no blow drying, stylist will wear a mask&visor, contactless payment or prepayment. All of this is fine by me, happy to comply for theirs and my safety.

petermaysawthefuture · 24/06/2020 14:56

Also no official guidance on blow drying either.

IdblowJonSnow · 24/06/2020 14:59

January hair baby here, not heard from mine yet despite stalking them! Blush

SedentaryCat · 24/06/2020 14:59

Had a phone call from the hairdresser today and have an appointment on 4 July. I cannot wait to say goodbye to the Old English Sheepdog look I am currently sporting.

IdblowJonSnow · 24/06/2020 15:00

I'd be very happy with a date in july, worried it'll be August!
