Well, I finally plucked up the courage to dye my hair at home...

...and I think it’s come out well! I got DH to do it, using a colour from e:salon.

£14, and I usually pay £90 for a cut and colour. I cut my own fringe for zilch.

I really, really recommend it.

Well done! I've been doing this too and works well (L'Oreal Casting Creme Gloss)

I've been dyeing my own hair for 20 years. Never had any issues.

Windyatthebeach · 23/05/2020 15:36

Ah wow!! Pat on the back for your dh!

😍😍 Aw it's lovely op, beautiful colour.

embolass · 23/05/2020 15:38

Looks great, you look younger!

RedRec · 23/05/2020 15:38

Looks lovely.

Wagamamas · 23/05/2020 15:39

The blonde was nice but the darker makes you look younger.

Pinkarsedfly · 23/05/2020 15:42

Thanks all! The blonde was a result of red washing out over lockdown...I was down to the bleach and had awful roots.

I was worried that red would go glowy at the roots, but it hasn’t. I’d definitely do it again!

You have a cheeky face Grin

squeekums · 23/05/2020 15:44

Looks great!
my hair is currently sitting in a flood of purple dye
Ive always done my own, so much cheaper

Whatusernamecanihave · 23/05/2020 15:45

You look lovely :) love the new colour

AnyFucker · 23/05/2020 15:46

I am letting the grey come through (well, have no choice really)

I have blonde highlighted mousy hair which is damaged on the ends which really needs a cut so daren't do a home dye job as I reckon it would take very patchily

Pinkarsedfly · 23/05/2020 15:46

AnyFucker I’m quite a cheeky person Grin

Not surprised Wink

Pinkarsedfly · 23/05/2020 15:48

If I had proper grey I might have done the same, but my natural colour is just weird. I used to be a redhead, and as I’ve aged it’s gone a kind of dirty khaki colour.

Nobody needs to see that.

AnyFucker · 23/05/2020 15:52

Khaki hair Confused

Pinkarsedfly · 23/05/2020 15:54

Honestly, even my hairdresser described it as such. It’s just...weirdly greeny browny blonde.
