Well, I finally plucked up the courage to dye my hair at home...

...and I think it’s come out well! I got DH to do it, using a colour from e:salon.

£14, and I usually pay £90 for a cut and colour. I cut my own fringe for zilch.

I really, really recommend it.

I think it’s because I’m naturally red so a warmer colour suits my skin tone.

I do mine, and it’s great! Just go a shade lighter brown than I want, as the colour buildup can look too dark. I go once a year and pay the hairdresser a bloody fortune for absolutely the same result. And kick myself every time.

This is reassuring - I placed my first eSalon order last Sunday and I got a shipping notification this morning. I’ve never dyed my hair myself so very nervous
