My aim is to be 14st by end of July.

I'd like to buy a motivation dress to try on every month and hopefully fit in.

My first goal is 14 stone.

So what size are you at 14st

I’d hold off buying a dress as you don’t know where your weight will come off quickly and where it’ll take longer to shift

NerforMuffin · 05/05/2020 10:01

It's not going to be an expensive one.

Just something so I can feel it fitting better as I go along.

I've found it really helpful previously.

Size 16 I'd think.

Happygirl79 · 05/05/2020 10:07

I am 5'4 and 11st 4
I wear a size 14
So a 16???

Myneighboursnorlax · 05/05/2020 10:08

Size 16

torrence · 05/05/2020 10:08

It depends on the style of dress, where it's from and how busty you are, a 16 to be safe but maybe a 14

Freetodowhatiwant · 05/05/2020 10:08

I would estimate a 16 and I think it’s nice to have that to look forward to. I am 5ft5 at my heaviest I was about 11 and a half stone and wore a size 14. At my lightest I’ve been 8.10 Ish and a size 8. Currently about 10 and a half stone and a size 12. Good luck! I am finding lockdown terrible for weight loss as i am far less active day to day.

MinkowskisButterfly · 05/05/2020 10:09

I'm 5ft 6 so an inch taller but I am 18 bottom and 16/18 top (small boobs, broad shoulders).

chelle862 · 05/05/2020 10:10

I'm 5'9 14st (pregnant) and I'm 12/14

NerforMuffin · 05/05/2020 10:17

Tha ks everyone.

Going to go for a loose fitting in a 16

Cheers

I am 5ft 4 ins and around 14st (I think!) It may be more. I got up to 15 stone as was still around size 18/20 depending on elastic waitsts, stretchy clothing etc.

lubeybooby · 05/05/2020 13:54

I was a 14/16 at 14st

I'd get a 14 - if you get a loose fitting 16, well that's basically an 18 and you'd probably fit into it now. Get something with no stretch in a close fit in a 16, or a 14 with a little give

SunnySomer · 05/05/2020 13:57

Definitely go for very loose. I’m 5’6” and when I was 14st I was a very definite size 18 and needed to go to the shops that do vanity sizing to be one! (Fat Face, Monsoon etc)

Cillmantain · 05/05/2020 14:02

I am 5 foot 5 and at almost 14 stone, I was a big 18.
Hourglass shape

Yester · 05/05/2020 14:06

Size 18 I think I'm 11.5 stone at 5,5. And am Size 14.

Titsywoo · 05/05/2020 14:08

Im 14st and just over 5ft 3. Im a size 18 to 20 on bottom half and 16 on top.

Apolloanddaphne · 05/05/2020 14:08

I am 13st 7lb and 5'6". I wear a size 16.

ploughingthrough · 05/05/2020 14:10

I was a 16 at just under 12 stone and 5 foot 5 and a half so I would say an 18.
But I still wear a 12 at 9 stone 9 and many people my weight and height are a comfy 10. So everyone is different but at 14 stone I would easily be an 18 If not bigger.

berrychakewellplease · 05/05/2020 14:10

5'6" I would a solid size 16. Depends on cut, fit and where from.

Floralnomad · 05/05/2020 14:12

I would say an 18 , my daughter is 5’5” and is a size 10/12 ( she likes things looser) and she weighs 9stone .

LimpLettice · 05/05/2020 14:14

At 11stone ish and 5 ft 4 I'm in a 14, I'd go more like an 18 to start. If you get into it sooner, all the better!

NerforMuffin · 05/05/2020 16:11

I'm 17st now and a 20ish.

So a stone for each dress size would be size 16 losing 3 stone.

OP posts:
NerforMuffin · 05/05/2020 16:12

Def won't be an 18 as I'm 18 in leggings and tops now.

20 in dresses so after losing 3 stone I'd hope I go down more than 1 size

OP posts:
RubbishQueen · 05/05/2020 16:15

I'd say a 16.

Falafellygood · 05/05/2020 16:19

I was 12st at my heaviest, at 5'5 and a size 14, so a 16-18?
