I know I'm late to the party but isn't CeraVe brilliant?

Seriously , I can't believe how good it is. I've been using it for about 8 weeks and it's transformed my skin.

I read a post of here about how it's got ceramides in it and that's why it's so good ( will have to Google what that are!)

My rosacea has practically gone,no dryness or flakiness any more ,it's a bloody miracleSmile

I'm sold!

hayley013 · 22/01/2020 21:35

I just bought the foaming cleanser, moisturiser and under eye cream for £24 on look fantastic, free sample inc too. Looking forward to trying this

jalopy · 22/01/2020 21:51

I love the smoothing cleanser.

IndecentFeminist · 22/01/2020 21:52

I have a boots voucher so would be interested in some recommendations if anyone would mind, I have dry/sensitive skin that seems to have lost all its 'glow'. 😩

Apileofballyhoo · 22/01/2020 22:24

What do you use at the moment, indecent?

Destinesia · 22/01/2020 22:28

its on 3 for 2 in Boots

SecretWitch · 22/01/2020 22:32

Love Cerave cleanser! I use the cleanser and then slather on Drunk Elephant protini moisteriser. My skin has never looked or felt better.

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 22/01/2020 22:53

Which product are you using please op?

I have been using the hydrating cleanser BUT when I first used it ,it was stingy. After two weeks using CeraVe cream I tried again and it's lovely. I think maybe my skin barrier has got better so can tolerate it?

I use the cream in a tube for extra dry skin for my face.

The tub and lotion for my body.

Just ordered the eye cream as might as well go the whole hogGrin

TheWeatherGirl1 · 22/01/2020 22:57

I've been using face wash and night cream for about a month and haven't noticed any difference whatsoever

OhioOhioOhio · 22/01/2020 23:00

Sounds great.

Shinygoldbauble · 22/01/2020 23:14

I bought the hydrating cleanser for dd who has dry skin and eczema and I gave it a try myself. I love it. My skin is looking better than it has for ages. It is gentle enough for dd too.

Apileofballyhoo · 22/01/2020 23:40

I was calling it ser-av in my head for ages but I call it sera-vee now - I think the woman in the chemist called it that.

dontgobaconmyheart · 22/01/2020 23:40

Interesting- I thought it was pretty uneventful for the price and a bit chemically. No better than a decent double cleanse for me followed by some Avenue or Eucerin face cream which is brill for dry skin .

Apileofballyhoo · 22/01/2020 23:41

I'll try the hydrating cleanser again. Using Avene extremely gentle cleanser at the moment which is bliss but it is more expensive.

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 22/01/2020 23:51

I have used Eucerin buy this is tons better for my skin. It's only in the last couple of weeks I've really noticed a serious difference, the redness has reduced by about 80% I'd say and much less reactive to cold/ hot, again possible due to having a better skin barrier now?

Could anyone tell me if they do any products that would help clear 35 year old skin with acne, red patches AND signs of ageing?? I'm quite desperate and have never heard of this brand before.

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 22/01/2020 23:59

Tbh I don't think anything helps with ageing.

Ceramides are lipid molecules found in high concentrations within cell membranes in the upper layer of the skin. They hold skin cells together, forming a protective layer that plumps the skin and holds moisture. They also act as a barrier against bacteria and environmental pollutants

Just googled

Apileofballyhoo · 23/01/2020 00:39

Ballache, what do you use now?
Standard advice is oil cleanser at night, followed by gentle cleanser, exfoliating acid one night, retinol another night, oil if dry, moisturise.

In the morning use water or gentle cleanser, vitamin C, moisturise and a stand alone broad spectrum sunscreen at least spf30.

BallacheForLife · 23/01/2020 00:40

@Apileofballyhoo I've been recently trying the Tropic range as I read a lot of good things but absolutely no change. I've tried many many things over the years and just feel destined to being a pensioner with acne at this point

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 23/01/2020 07:56

My face would fall off if I used all that on my faceShockGrin

Maybe get a small tube Ball and see how you get on along with the wash. Then it's not much of an outlay if it doesn't suit. I think I got my small tube from Look Fantastic as they do one for £4 and then I got a bigger one later.
