Alternative to Mulberry Anthony bag - help please!

Hello Fashionistas, my DH bought me a tan Mulberry Anthony bag for my 40th (many ahem) years ago, and I have used it practically everyday. It's a great size and takes a good old bashing - fits all my day to day crap in it yet still looks 'good' iyknim. But, it's now getting to the point where I really do need a new bag, but I don't want to fork out £3-400 for a bag, but I do still want one that has recognisable style. It must be cross body and it must be slouchy but sturdy and take a lot of stick. It must not have lots of bells and whistles - simple and stylish is the key. I don't mind natural, or colour such as burgundy, navy, dark green etc - nothing out too 'out there'. There seems to be a lot of 'structured' cross body bags on the market and I'm at a loss - have been searching for ages! Can anybody help? There are some brands I really don't like - such as Fossil or Radley - they are just not 'me'. Happy to go without a designer name tag and happy to spend up to £200 on something amazing. Can anyone help? I know you lovely ladies know your bags!!

Here she is. Absolutely beautiful. I adore the colour. Can fit a decent amount in. My sunglasses case is pretty large & my pride is medium size. Obviously would have my phone & keys in too. It’s quite heavy when I’ve got everything in so I will probably use a smaller purse. I love that it can be worn crossbody too but it seems comfier with the chain at the back for this.

Be interested to know what the hof bag is like @twosoups1972. I too ordered from zohara but I think that will have to go straight back due to my love for today’s arrival. Unless I can find something else to sell. 🤔🤣

@strictly1972 that's gorgeous, you lucky thing! I've fallen out of love with Mulberry over the last few years (although still have lots of their older bags) but that one is tempting. I've order two of the Coach Sutton Hobos - fingers crossed they arrive tomorrow.

@tattiepants I know what you mean about mulberry. I haven’t purchased from them for a long time but I’ve liked this style for over 12 months & really love the colour. I like that the yellow of the bag sort of blends with the gold of the chain as sometimes it can look a bit harsh. I love the older mulberry styles more than the new as the new sometimes feel a bit stiff.
Report back on the Sutton hobo. It looks gorgeous. I’m a massive fan of coach. Great bags for the price especially with the extra 20% off.

@strictly1972 there was also an extra 10% off through Top Cashback so it's a real bargain. I agree with you about the price, I bought my first Coach bag a year ago from the factory shop in Selby and the leather is lovely.

I doubt I'll keep both colours in the Sutton but I thought I'd hedge my bets as they aren't traditional colours.

I'd never heard of Zohara bags before this thread. Sadly I've dithered too much and the grey suede bag highlighted on this thread is sold out. As is everything else I like. I'll keep an eye on them in future as their styles are lovely.

My Zohara order has just arrived. They are gorgeous but the grey one isn’t for me. Interestingly it’s pebbles leather at the back & just suede at the front so that’s good as it won’t wear against clothes. I ordered the travel wallet too which I will be keeping. It looks like it would hold quite a lot. More than a standard mulberry Antony I would say. It’s quite deep. It’s nice x

Both bags have arrived.

The Ralph Lauren one is disappointing - it's more an orangey shade rather than true red. It's not nice enough to keep.

The grey Zohara one is indeed lovely and great quality. I'm still undecided as I have a bag in a similar colour and not sure if it'll get enough use. Will try to post a picture later.

Ah that’s a shame about the RL bag. I sent my zohara back too as although it was lovely it was a bit boxy for me. Kept the travel pouch which I’m really pleased with & it will actually double as a clutch
