I love these for winter as im always walking the pram and my face suffers.

They are usually on the high end price wise so I wondered if anyone had recommendations?

Kiehls

Kahlua4me · 28/11/2019 02:39

I use Rock Rose Beauty facial oil. It is quite pricey I think but one bottle lasts such a long time.

It has made a big difference to my skin.

JMAngel1 · 28/11/2019 05:46

The Ordinary Marula Oil is bordering on miraculous - better than rosehip imo

ChristmasAngst · 28/11/2019 06:45

I wish I'd never opened this thread. I am going to have to check out a few of these oils to go with my mini collection.
Love, love, love oils.

Thedevilofsmallthings · 28/11/2019 06:54

Superdrug's calm skin oil is lovely. also cheap.

VanillaSugarr · 28/11/2019 06:57

I use Bamford which is super pricey but helps to calm my skin.

supercee · 28/11/2019 09:24

I wish I'd never opened this thread either! I'm on the hunt for an oil and I just can't decide now which one to go for 🤯

PollyPelargonium52 · 28/11/2019 10:25

Go for the cheapest. Aldi £3.99.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 28/11/2019 10:35

I use the Boots Botanics one at night - it's about £7, and often on offer. I had previously used much more high end/expensive but switched because I ran out and was skint, and it does exactly the same job.

PrincessHoneysuckle · 28/11/2019 10:39

I use Palmers (the people who make the cocoa butter) facial oil

MrsMaiselsMuff · 28/11/2019 10:57

The new Aldi oil is excellent, I'm seriously impressed.

Off to buy some more in case I run out before it's next in.

(The Benefit dupe mascara is back in too!)

ChristmasAngst · 28/11/2019 11:31

Thing is with Aldi though is that for some people it's fine. I use their hot cloth cleanser and it's great. My friend tried their Lacura range and her face literally burnt off.

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 28/11/2019 13:44

My CeraVe wash and cream just arrived, I have great hopes for this!!

ViserionTheDragon · 28/11/2019 15:23

Another vote for rosehip oil. According to Dr. Dray on Youtube, it penetrates the skin deeper than marula oil because the molecules are small enough to pentrate the skin better. Having used both, I think this is likely to be true, my skin was always a greasy mess after using marula oil overnight and with rosehip oil in contrast, much more moisturised and less greasy.

supercee · 28/11/2019 16:12

I've gone for the CeraVe hydrating wash and cream duo and the Trilogy rosehip oil. Fingers crossed!

Solihooley · 28/11/2019 17:14

Cerave wash is great. I use it as my second cleanser after using an oil based one 1st that removes all makeup and dirt. Look up double cleansing, it’s been a game changer for me. Plus using a hydrating toner and a few products from the ordinary. I can’t believe it’s taken my until my 30’s to get a regime (other than wipe face with a baby wipe!). My skin is so much better.

doadeer · 28/11/2019 19:03

I got a sample of herbivore lapis oil from space nk which is lovely! But I've bought rose hip oil to try

I have used loads of different oils and love Aurelie products. Don't know if they do anything more wonderful, but they smell lovely and make me feel great.

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 28/11/2019 19:27

I have just users TBS chammomile balm, then CeraVe hydrating wash followed by CeraVe moisturiser for extra dry skin flowed by avacado oil but I might change to rosehip after reading the comments above as my skin is matte as anything ,it's just soaked it all up.

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 28/11/2019 19:28

**used

woodhill · 28/11/2019 19:30

Judith Williams Rose oil is lovely

Ithinkwerealonenowtiffany · 28/11/2019 20:16

Coconut oil. Really. £3.99 for a jar in Home Bargains, been using it for years!

I've ordered rosehip oil.

Royalton on top

CeraVe doesn't seem very moisturising,it's making my face feel a bit tight. Might be the wash though. I'll try it without next time and see if that makes a difference.

TheCanterburyWhales · 29/11/2019 06:15

I always used oils only on top of moisturiser but then learned from the gurus on the fantastic skincare thread that it depends on the type of moisturiser, some won't let the oil penetrate so it's best to use it first (Nivea blue pot for example) I find it helps with the rubbing in.
I've treated myself to one of my favourites (NY rose) on the back of this thread.
