I love these for winter as im always walking the pram and my face suffers.

They are usually on the high end price wise so I wondered if anyone had recommendations?

I use cacay oil.

Girlintheframe · 27/11/2019 06:45

Mauli face oil is fantastic. I was gifted a bottle and just love it. Sadly it's £££ though

cocomelon23 · 27/11/2019 07:13

Are any of these for oily skin?

Sparkletastic · 27/11/2019 07:19

Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Oil

PollyPelargonium52 · 27/11/2019 07:33

The Aldi version for £3.99. Rose oil. Amazing. Just wish I had bought two or three of them when I saw them the other month in the middle aisle as they are more money on ebay.

MiaFarrowsWheelbarrow · 27/11/2019 07:39

Love Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Oil, when I use it I'm always surprised to see how good my skin looks the next morning.

Bluesheep8 · 27/11/2019 08:11

Another vote for the pink Aldi one, it's fab

Balloondog · 27/11/2019 09:07

I second @PollyPelargonium52 The Aldi one is amazing. My skin has never looked better. I have naturally oily skin but this has never made me break out and I'm constantly told I look 10 years younger than I am. I picked up 10 bottles when they were recently in stock and am adding them to everyone's Christmas presents!

PollyPelargonium52 · 27/11/2019 10:57

I had an Elemis sample of their new rose oil but I still find the Aldi version superior.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 27/11/2019 12:07

I bought the Aldi rose oil for DD , but after a week or so she couldn't open it , we tried but it resulted in the bottle shattering Sad . So nice product but she had to throw it out .
She has the Sukin Rose Oil now and really likes it .(I look for special offers in Boots for Sukin)

I use the Superfacialist Vit C oil in the shower with a Konjac Sponge , it smells nice and cleans without drying.

doadeer · 27/11/2019 12:42

I don't live near an aldi can you buy online?

Love The Ordinary Rosehip Oil

NatashaRomanov · 27/11/2019 16:16

Aldi Rose oil.
I have had trouble getting it open, the chrome coloured cap that fits over the proper plastic screw-top lid had come loose. An issue with the glue I think. I managed to get the tip of some little nail scissors under the edge, and cut. And cut enough to pull the crome cover away.

But I love this stuff. Is great for my oily skin, and have used it on some dry patches on my hands, with great effect. And I adore the smell!
I stocked up last time, and brought some for part of my sisters' Christmas presents!

ARoomWithoutADoor · 27/11/2019 16:40

Is Rose oil nice to put on before sleep?
I use Aveeno which I love as its natural and soaks in so quickly.

My skin gets ridiculously dry now so I was wondering about a more nourishing oil at bedtime but I'd like something that sinks in and doesn't end up all over my pillow?

And, whilst I'm asking, are there any eye creams that work that are not too spendy, please? I seem to be getting lots of creases around my eyes all of a sudden :(

FuzzyPuffling · 27/11/2019 17:07

I use rosehip oil at night and Bio Oil during the day (it's lighter and soaks in quickly)

thenightsky · 27/11/2019 17:11

I read somewhere (maybe MN years ago) that bio oil was exactly the same stuff as WD40.

FuzzyPuffling · 27/11/2019 17:13

Bio Oil doesn't smell like WD40! But hey, I've had enough compliments on the smoothness of my skin (and I'm no youngster) so what the hell!

metoothree · 27/11/2019 17:15

you can get Neals Yard to make up a face oil with different choices of essential oil and base oil - mine was almost identical to their rose oil off the shelf but about a third of the price

Cataline · 27/11/2019 17:20

Another vote for the Aldi Rose oil- it's amazing.
They've currently got an overnight oil in store (and online I think)

I've just started using it and it's fabulous. It smells divine and reminds me of a much higher end product that I've used in the past (and can't remember the name of!)

TheCanterburyWhales · 27/11/2019 17:21

Bio Oil is mineral oil so not really recommended as a facial oil as it can clog pores.
It depends on what skin type you have as to what oil would work. Rosehip for example is great- for the very first signs of ageing or for oily skin. If your skin is dry and weather-beaten or over 35, rosehip on its own isn't going to do very much. Blended with something else it would be fine. (Trilogy rosehip for example has other oils in it as well)

My favourites are Liz Earle Superskin night concentrate (also contains rosehip- but as well as argan and other goodies) Neal's Yard Rose and/or Frankincense and Body Shop Oils of Life.

ChristmasAngst · 27/11/2019 18:00

Rosehip oil between toner and moisturiser as a serum during the day.
Neroli oil by Decleor at night.

thisenglishlife · 27/11/2019 18:11

This is really good:
www.boots.com/revolution-skincare-night-restore-oil-squaline-and-evening-primrose-oil-10272382

It contains: jojoba, rosehip, sweet almond, grape seed, sunflower, squalane, peach kernal and evening primrose oils

BreakfastAtSquiffanys · 27/11/2019 20:25

Anybody tried Burt's Bees cleansing oil?

frugalkitty · 27/11/2019 21:17

I find Neals Yard rose oil light and balancing. I use it at night, sometimes with aveeno over the top @aroomwithoutadoor
