Which brand of deodorant actually works?

I have Nivea black and white at the moment, and it’s not cutting the mustard (not that I smell of mustard)!
I run around the place with kids and work, I don’t think I’m a super sweaty person but by the end of the day I need a shower. DH assures me I don’t properly hum, but can anyone recommend a common brand (read: not £5+) that takes them through a whole day?

Mitchum didn't work with me so I switched to Sure (stress control).

Nonotmenori · 26/11/2019 20:09

Dove in the can. Mitchum never worked for m

Aldi Active 48 aerosol antiperspirant, the best one ever (including Mitchum).
I'm in my 60's, and believe me I have tried just about every one on the market!
It's brilliant and cheap too!

ooooohbetty · 26/11/2019 20:14

I tried Mitchum but it made my pits itchy

I know from personal experience that if you have a serious sweat problem (hyperhydrosis) Driclor is the answer. It’s strong stuff, and it stings like hell if you don’t use it strictly in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions, but it works. IT is no exaggeration to call it life changing. I only wish I had started using it many years ago.

Nice scent.

astralweaks · 26/11/2019 20:35

Didn’t have an issue but just like the scent. The other Sanex roll ons are good too.

Gizlotsmum · 26/11/2019 21:47

Do you notice a difference at the end of the day of you have used soap or showergel? My daughter did, not straight after but by the end of the day she smelt more of she had used shower gel

GlamGiraffe · 26/11/2019 21:49

Mitchum gel is the best deodorant. After that its botox I find, but then I am a truly sweaty betty😬

JaceLancs · 26/11/2019 21:49

Sure roll on works for me

QueenOfOversharing · 26/11/2019 22:07

Triple Dry is really good.

Only other one is Mitchum - the gel is the best tbh - on offer in Boots today (I think l!!).

If you suffer with hyperhidrosis, GP can prescribe Driclor (one of the ones you apply at night).

Lucked · 26/11/2019 22:46

Regular Mitchum dry stick for me, the gel is expensive and doesn’t last long so I am glad I do need it.

Blue5238 · 26/11/2019 22:50

Triple dry

MerryDeath · 26/11/2019 23:30

mitchum i scented but also you can put glycolic acid ie the ordinary and that does a lot to inhibit bacteria

the biggest thing for me though is using bar soap not shower gel! i'll never go back!

promises 72hr protection (really not sure you'd want to go that long without soap and water, but I digress)

You still wash as normal, it doesn't wash off.
