Which brand of deodorant actually works?

I have Nivea black and white at the moment, and it’s not cutting the mustard (not that I smell of mustard)!
I run around the place with kids and work, I don’t think I’m a super sweaty person but by the end of the day I need a shower. DH assures me I don’t properly hum, but can anyone recommend a common brand (read: not £5+) that takes them through a whole day?

Mitchum gel. Nothing else comes close imo

FiveStoryFire · 26/11/2019 17:20

Mitchum is pretty good.

Sksksksk · 26/11/2019 17:21

The only thing that works for me these days (am in menopause hell) is the Sure one that annoyingly is £5. Sometimes it’s on offer though and then I get a few. I find the £5 Mitchum one good too (prob even better than the Sure one ) but it tends to make my skin a bit sore after a few days use. I do have very weird skin though so you might be fine with it. Sorry but I have no cheaper options to recommend having tried just about everything.

slinkysaluki · 26/11/2019 17:22

Mitcham roll on and stick

fedup21 · 26/11/2019 17:22

Mitchum stick is brilliant. The powder fresh one smells lovely as well :)

IFartGlitterAndRainbows · 26/11/2019 17:25

I use a sure roll on then spray sure antiperspirant on top and it does the trick for me

Sksksksk · 26/11/2019 17:26

I find the roll on Mitchum works well but the stick not so much. I reckon it’s a case of trying the stick which is cheaper and going on to the industrial strength gel one if it’s not doing the job.

lexloofah · 26/11/2019 17:28

Yep Mitchum, I find the regular one (stick or roll on powder fresh) works, haven’t tried the mega strong one, very often on offer at Boots, Wilkos

QuestionableMushroom · 26/11/2019 17:29

I like Mitchum spray, in the green tins.

Parzival · 26/11/2019 17:29

Club Mitchum here too Grin

Sgtmajormummy · 26/11/2019 17:30

Perspirex.
It’s semi medicinal and quite expensive(£8 or so from Tesco). You put it on clean armpits at night for about a week (quite itchy) and then as usual after bathing.
The whole family use it and we’ve eliminated teen boy locker-room fug as well as any lingering doubts. We live in a warm climate.

Sgtmajormummy · 26/11/2019 17:31

Sorry, OP you said not £5 but IMO Perspirex is worth the extra price for peace of mind.

LoonyLunaLoo · 26/11/2019 17:34

Another vote for Mitchum.

ooooohbetty · 26/11/2019 17:36

Sure roll on for men. The only one that works for me. I'm very sweaty.

Hayls17 · 26/11/2019 17:36

Right guard, the black and pink one. Can usually find in pound shops, Wilkos, savers etc for £1. I haven’t used anything else for years now!

Fifteenthnamechange · 26/11/2019 17:37

Mitchum roll on 🙋🏼‍♀️

FreckledLeopard · 26/11/2019 17:38

Mitchum - the roll on stick one. It's the best I've ever used.

OnlyTheTitOfTheIceberg · 26/11/2019 17:38

I suffer from hyperhydrosis and the best one I’ve found is the Sure Sensitive stick. It’s about £5 but is often on offer in Boots. Anything stronger sets off a reaction in my armpit and I come out in a rash.

nibdedibble · 26/11/2019 17:39

Mitchum. Definitely. (I worry about what's in it to make it so good...but still.)

cookiemonster5 · 26/11/2019 17:40

Mitchum clear gel one. I tried the other one but I'm allergic to fragrance so I have to deal with the £5 price tag

30under · 26/11/2019 17:41

Mitchum

bigdecisonsahead · 26/11/2019 17:41

Mitchum

Another one for Mitchum roll on

DancingDella · 26/11/2019 17:44

Mitchum roll on. I stock up when it's on offer so never pay the full price for it.
