That's good @ajandjjmum I might order that instead. My grandma has just been put on end of life care so DH thinks I need something to perk me up

Northernsoulgirl45 · 04/12/2019 18:15

Thanj you everyone

Northernsoulgirl45 · 04/12/2019 18:17

Sorry wrong thread

KeithPartridge · 04/12/2019 19:24

Ugh so sorry to hear that Writers. It's awful when so many annoying, difficult things all crop up at once. I hope your calendars are providing some respite and happiness. I absolutely love mine...even when I'm not fussed about the products I love opening them and just feel so excited for Christmas.

Writersblock2 · 04/12/2019 20:22

Thanks everyone, much appreciated. I’m planning on having a bit of a pamper tonight so hopefully that will help. :)

@FatimaLovesBread I’m so sorry. I definitely think you deserve something! Self-care is in order!

Oh Ladies :( Hope for a much better rest of December for all of you.

Thinking of you, Fatima xx

www.boots.com/soap-and-glory-sweet-tin-tations-10268290 - this goes on offer on Friday as the Boots star gift. It'll be £30.

Out of interest did anyone purchase the Aldi boxing day-New Years Day advent calendar?

LEELULUMPKIN · 04/12/2019 21:06

Here is a big unmumsnetty group hug for CountryCob, Writersblock2 and last but certainly not least, Fatimalovesbread.

Rubbish situations for all of you so I am doubly glad now that you have your calendars and this forum to vent.

FatimaLovesBread · 04/12/2019 21:21

Thanks everyone, it is what it is, shit but we keep on plodding on.

I now have the asos calendar winging it's way to me Grin

ajandjjmum · 04/12/2019 22:20

FatimaLovesBread Take care of yourself - and enjoy the ASOS.

Has anyone else tried Real Chemistry 3 min peel?

I got it from one of the boxes - I think Look Fantastic - and it was incredible! It's 2/3 times a week peel - you put it on and massage it in for a couple of minutes and it balls up all the stuff under your fingers (you can feel it drawing it out and going into little balls under your fingers like little bits of grit almost) then rinse it off.

My skin felt fantastic after it and yesterday morning I'd started with a huge spot that was painful and very visible right on my cheek... using that last night has calmed it right down and it looks a thousand times better too.

Just have to work out if I can justify almost £40 for a fullsize tube (50ml) www.lookfantastic.com/real-chemistry-luminous-3-minute-peel/11289444.html

ReeRi · 05/12/2019 09:23

Oh that’s good to know re the S&G gift! Not that I need it... I probably still have S&G products from three years ago

eatsleepmoverepeat · 05/12/2019 10:10

Latest in Beauty have launched this today and it’s absolutely fantastic value. It’s £60 (£50 with a code if you’re a subscriber) and 12 of the 15 products are full size. Apparently worth £418

ReeRi · 05/12/2019 10:32

That does look good but the Aveda damage repair is doing the rounds isn’t it!

eatsleepmoverepeat · 05/12/2019 10:55

Haha yes it is. This will be my third tube!

LEELULUMPKIN · 05/12/2019 11:01

With regards to box deals, my GQ Estee Laudee companies essentials box has just arrived from Mankind for DH.

Yet again, very pleased. Just 2 of the clinique products alone amounts to £37.

I got the box on offer and with Topcashback for just £24:15!

Bansku19 · 05/12/2019 13:25

I am still interested in Origins Black Friday box. It was £55 but John Lewis is selling it at £44. I am waiting for a £5 voucher from John Lewis and I might get the set when it arrives.

LEELULUMPKIN · 05/12/2019 17:03

Has anyone had their 2 for £5 birchboxes yet> If so, what did you get?

FatimaLovesBread · 05/12/2019 18:10

I have @LEELULUMPKIN
Got the frozen one and I think the April one. I'll remind myself of the contents when I go upstairs and post here

FatimaLovesBread · 05/12/2019 18:12

Actually just realised I took photos...

LEELULUMPKIN · 05/12/2019 18:32

Thanks so much for that Fatima, They look well worth the gamble. Have you had your Dec subscription box yet too?

FatimaLovesBread · 05/12/2019 18:41

Nope no Dec box yet. I've been using the cherry blossom conditioner and I really like it, doesn't make my fine blonde hair lank like some can.
I've had an email today to say my Dec Glossybox is being dispatched though so hope that one's good too.

Butterymuffin · 05/12/2019 18:56

The Latest in Beauty Style box has sold out already! Oh well, saves me the dilemma.

@Writersblock2 @FatimaLovesBread hope things improve for you.

@CottonHeadedNinyMuggins I got the Aldi betwixtMas calendar Wink so I have that to see me through the end of December!

Waiting on my Glossybox and my Birchbox for
December now. Didn't get any of the £5 Birchboxes as I'd already had both originally.

LEELULUMPKIN · 05/12/2019 19:48

I've just had an email off glossybox if anyone wants the Dec box as a one off use the code GOLD and get if for £7.

Thanks again Fatima, re: the Dec box.

LEELULUMPKIN · 05/12/2019 19:52

Also meant to say that there is an additional 30% off on Topcashback if it is your first sub box.

So if my sums are correct, that's another £2:10 off making the box £4:90.

Bippety · 05/12/2019 21:10

I got the Match 19 Birchbox as my second box. I'm not too disappointed seen as though it was so cheap for the 2, but I just don't like the really small sizes. At least with Glossybox you get some decent sized products, even though some of them are lower end eg the antibac wipes Xmas Grin. I didn't cancel BB before the December box payment went out, but I have now. I absolutely detest the feel of velvet, so the December bag is definitely being gifted haha.
