So I followed advice from here and purchased some foundation in Primark. Best suggestion I have followed on here. And I have followed a few ... My question now is what else do you recommend from Primark cosmetics?

I bought eyebrow pencil, concealer, eyeliner, blusher and foundation. I'm 47 so not young skin and it's fab. Really surprised and will definitely continue buying from there. Saves ££££££s

Saffzy · 24/11/2019 23:46

Love their pink mascara and kohl eyeliner

sableandI · 24/11/2019 23:47

The primers are very good at only £2.50.

IdblowJonSnow · 24/11/2019 23:54

Are there lots of different shades of foundations? I'm in the market but it's so easy to end up with the wrong shade. I'm quite pale. Any suggestions please?

Stillabitemo · 24/11/2019 23:55

The translucent powder for baking - better than High end ones

Butterymuffin · 24/11/2019 23:59

Do they do a decent nude lip colour? I could do with one without spending much.

Pomley · 25/11/2019 00:04

The mascaras in the boxes are basically dupes for too faced BTS and benefit, I would highly recommend them, especially for £3. I'm not keen on the eyeshadow palettes or the foundations, (the former just because they're not pigmented enough for me, and they don't blend very well, and the latter because my skin is ridiculously sensitive); but the nail varnishes are worth a go, especially for the price.

Pomley · 25/11/2019 00:04

@Butterymuffin yes they do, they also do a nude lip kit which is similar to Kylie's in honesty.

tigerbear · 25/11/2019 00:46

@Butterymuffin the 90p Nude lustre lipstick k have from there is the best I’ve ever bought. I use it every day, the finish and colour are perfect.

Butterymuffin · 25/11/2019 00:48

@Pomley and @tigerbear Thanks! I'll look for that one.

SinglePringle · 25/11/2019 00:57

What’s the name of the foundation? My branch has a number of different brands (all Primark but different names within the ‘house’).

jewel1968 · 25/11/2019 08:01

The foundation I got is in the glass bottle for £5. My perfect colour. Ivory colour. think it is meant to be a dupe. someone here suggested you ensure you use a good moisturizer. I use but e from superdrug which was also recommended here. Works very well and colour is great.

That should be Vitamin E from superdrug. Will try the mascara. Thanks folks.

The mascara is amazing. The gold tube is fab, but can vouch for the silver as well. The chunky purple/pink one does give black, volume, full lashes but is a bit wet and can be clumpy.

Nail varnishes are by far the best I've used (including Ciate and Nails Inc.)

I'm using the £2.50 squeezy tube foundation today, in porcelain. Perfect colour match, and still looks good 3hours after applying.

The concealers (liquid, with wand.) Are again, awesome.

MistressWeatherwax1 · 25/11/2019 19:59

The mineral powder at £2. I tried it this week instead of my usual £16 Lily Lolo mineral founation and I think it's much better.

Tinyandpetite · 25/11/2019 22:47

The foundation and mascara in a box is brilliant! There organic cotton pads are my absolute favorite x

udnertheradar · 25/11/2019 23:15

The strobing cream!

Bellasblankexpression · 26/11/2019 08:47

Watching with interest, my local doesnt have the biggest range but the pink tube and silver tube mascaras have become a mainstay in my previously snobbish make up bag!

BeFire · 27/11/2019 11:30

I've just bought this one instead of my usual gold one and I think I prefer it. Gives good volume without being clumpy and it didn't feel too wet going on. £3, 3 whole pounds! Grin

I love that mascara Befire! I can't tell much difference between than and Better than sex which it is a dupe of.

BeFire · 27/11/2019 11:44

It's great isn't it? I'm impressed.

TheYear · 27/11/2019 12:25

£1 false nails. Absolutely no need to pay £7.99 in boots!

The white foundation that helps you tone down dark foundations is great and only £3.99 (from memory) as opposed to other brands at £9.99.

Layoverlife · 27/11/2019 12:37

I love the 90p lipsticks I have lots of them and think they are great. I also really like the gel nail varnishes, but my biggest and all time best buy at £1.50 is their PS fine tip eyeliner in black it's absolutely brilliant for the winged look and doesn't budge at all throughout a 12 hour shift in all kinds of weather, I was so worried that it would be discontinued I've stocked up on loads! 😊

Really dislike their eyeshadow pallets and blushes are very glittery

Must try the mascara next!

MikeUniformMike · 27/11/2019 12:49

I have only tried the foundation in a glass jar and lipstick.
The foundation is ok but I wasn't that impressed. The colour was good but it didn't stay looking good. Iwill try a different moisturizer as I think that affects foundation. I am tempted to try the foundation in a tube.
Lipstick is good.

I got some silicone blenders and didn't like them.

I hate palettes anyway. Great idea but it ends messy and few of them get used up.

BeFire · 27/11/2019 13:23

I'm getting such a shopping list from this thread Grin .
Which primer should I try? I've never used one before. I'd like to look light and dewy rather than matte.
I saw the primer water today but wasn't really sure what it did Confused .
