I’ve had fat reducing injections

Sohololopopo · 23/10/2019 22:18

I got them today. I haven’t told anyone. I’ve lost 5 lbs and I’m happy with how small I am except the tub at the bottom of my tummy. I’m booking in to get my love handles done if this is successful.

Apparently these have always been huge everywhere... other than here. They’ve been around for years but are just entering the UK market.

Fingers crossed. I just wanted to tell someone!

Hi OP,following with interest
I'm slim but after 3 kids have a small pouch that wont go,its skin with smallest amount of fat, looks like a flap,do you reckon these injections would do anything for this???

ferrier · 04/11/2019 03:06

Change your eating habits and it'll go anyways 🤷🏾‍♀️

Not true. You can lose all the weight in the world and certain areas of fat persist. For me to lose more weight would leave my face and upper body looking emaciated yet I still have an area of flab on my stomach.

Sohololopopo · 04/11/2019 07:21

@ferrier thank you! This is what it is, everywhere is nice and slim on me but I still have this bit of podge!!!! It’s totally uneven and bloody unfair this is why I tried these!

@WhatAMum01 I don’t know because I haven’t had children, but mine was just a pouch from my belly button downward it’s a ‘small’ area, but they say hard to move fat which that part of your stomach is so I think it should be ok with you PP, but you’d be better speaking to a clinician

WhatAMum01 · 04/11/2019 08:57

@Sohololopopo oh I cant wait to see your b4 and after pics
Been doing so much reading on aqualyx I really like the idea, and the affordability of it.thanks for posting, love people sharing good stuff!

RiotAndAlarum · 04/11/2019 09:58

dissolve the fat into water

er...wot? Hmm

I also notice no pics yet!

SpiderCharlotte · 04/11/2019 10:23

And for those of you who aren’t interested, well that’s bloody fine. I’m not ‘snake oiling’ or ‘marketing’. I haven’t a clue how I would be doing that without providing something such as a link or a particular clinic or such information.

No, perhaps not. But you are advocating injecting a substance to 'dissolve fat into water' Hmm by a 'clinician' (who must be ok because she used to be a nurse?) that you say is 'trained' - trained in what? What are her qualifications to carry out this procedure? Do you even know? That's irresponsible IMO.

DistanceCall · 04/11/2019 11:04

To be fair, I live in Spain, and a quick Google search shows that here this is a real procedure offered by reputable clinics.

SpiderCharlotte · 04/11/2019 12:43

@DistanceCall I don't doubt that, but lots of procedures are offered by reputable clinics which are still questionable.

DistanceCall · 04/11/2019 14:55

SpiderCharlotte Not true. To be offered by a reputable clinic, a procedure needs to meet certain requirements, at least in Western countries.

Aqualyx (which I had never heard of before today) is a "Medical Device. European CE Mark approved in December 2012. The CE registration for AQUALYX is granted for use of the solution in a two-step treatment with an external ultrasound device."

www.consultingroom.com/Treatment/AQUALYX-Fat-Dissolving-Injections

It is also approved by the US FDA:

SpiderCharlotte · 04/11/2019 18:25

I think our ideas of questionable are different DistanceCall. Just because something is legal does not mean that I, personally, do not find it questionable. I'm afraid I very much do. To me, it's playing on people's insecurities and that doesn't sit well with me at all.

DistanceCall · 04/11/2019 18:57

To me, it's playing on people's insecurities and that doesn't sit well with me at all.

Ah, well, you mean you don't like the idea. Objectively, it seems a safe, medically approved procedure. Whether it sits well with you or not is your own business.

I'm glad you're happy with the procedure, OP.

Sohololopopo · 04/11/2019 21:06

To be totally honest, with the amount of twattish comments on here I really don’t want to share a picture of my body with some of the people on here, anonymous or not. I could quite imagine there being many scathing fucking remarks. I got this done because of my insecurities and posted here because I found something that has safely given me exactly what I have wanted up until now. Yes it’s a quick fix, yes it’s probably fucking questionable, but I really don’t give a toss! I have shared a piece of information, which I have trialled myself, personally, and I have gotten the results I have wanted, so I gave people a heads up that there is something someone might want to look at. It’s my bloody body, I wanted to tell SOMEONE about it! Fuck me!

OP posts:
Sohololopopo · 04/11/2019 21:08

And thank you to those of you who haven’t called me a liar or snake oiling. I seriously don’t have the time for that shit. I got something done, I’ve told people about it, if your not interested bloody bugger off.

OP posts:
Sohololopopo · 04/11/2019 21:10

@SpiderCharlotte I am alive, with no infection, nor have there been any complications. And I’m getting the results sold to me... I’m getting what I paid for... I advocate confidence and if that means help on the way, give me some of that love!

Sohololopopo · 04/11/2019 21:10

@DistanceCall thank you distance 😀

Very interesting! Had laser fat removal a few years ago with zero results so I’m a bit of a sceptic but still fascinated by new procedures. Will you continue to update us on your results? I’m sorry some people are giving you a hard time.

WhatAMum01 · 04/11/2019 21:18

@Soho no dont be put off by the naysayers!its doesn't matter what you do in life theres always one who has an issue, ignore and be confident in what you have felt a good experience, I personally am thankful to hear of something new and affordable which could help boast my confidence. Pls post the pics and to hell with the grumps!dont really know why folk post on threads they dont really have an interest in other than to disagree for the sake of it!

OliviaBenson · 07/11/2019 08:56

Did you get your hips done? I've not heard of this but I'm tempted. I have chub at the top of my legs that will not shift.

I hope you are pleased with the results!

thenightsky · 07/11/2019 09:39

Its removal of back fat I'm particularly interested in.

Sohololopopo · 08/11/2019 16:38

Guys it’s so hard to get the same angle to see the difference, and granted I’m not straight up and down but for three days I’ve been a total pig I’m going to post before getting it done and after.

Now you need to see the bludge and how it hangs from the before and after so how it looks like a piece of fat just plopped on the bottom of my stomach, to after the injections it has flattened it out. I can see and feel a physical difference but I must say the pictures do make me out to be a bit of a liar! Anyway, it has worked for me. Sorry they’re not full body, these are my own personal ones the pic I got tuck in the salon I was admittedly breathing in due to embarrassment therefor they’re not ‘real’
