Holland and Barrett Beauty Advent Calendar 2019

Mine has arrived! Not opening until December (obviously! Wink) but thought I’d get a thread started.

Details:
25 days, priced at £35. Listing states products worth £146 plus a chance to win a luxury spa break.
I used some of my H&B points towards this, and also went through Quidco. Shipping is free.
Link below, but to warn, the contents are listed on the sales page so you may want to be careful if you don’t want to know in advance.

Who else has one? Let’s use this thread to discuss the contents as we hit December. :)

So far I am really happy I chose this calendar. The cleanser is really perfect for travelling and if I like it the voucher will get used.
I’m going to try out the skin food later today but it looks great to be honest.
Lip balm is in my bag and I really like it. So far so good!

Happy with the micellar water and voucher. I’m really impressed H&B. This was the cheapest of my calendars but so far has the products that will get the most use.

I agree. I used this product this morning and loved it. I was shocked how much grubbiness it removed!

I used it with todays product from the LF advent and it has made a real difference.

When I was out a lady I know asked me if I had been on holiday as I looked very well! So something must have worked!

This is the first product from the 4 calendars that I have that I would definitely buy again, so the coupon is an added bonus.

This is my AC rating so far but it is only day 3.....
1.Holland & Barratt

  1. M&S

3.Look Fantastic
4.Liberty

Perhaps I am not posh enough?! :)

I agree, H&B is brilliant! Very impressed. Today’s serum is right up my street and it’s a generous size. Take note, other calendars!

Love today's product. I was running low on Vit C Hyaluronic Acid so really happy. 😁 This calendar has been brilliant so far...really useful little items.

I think we will all be clambering to get it next year if the rest of the calendar is this good.

not rtft yet but I got last year's in the Jan sale for £10 I think and I was really impressed. All the products I have so far opened have been great.

Writers - That was exactly my first thought about it being harder to get next year!

I really LOVE todays product and will definitely be buying this again too. I used it this morning with yesterdays and they both went on like a dream with no irritation whatsoever. So impressed.

The irony for me is that not only was it the cheapest calendar of the lot, it''s the fact that I only got it because I had spotted it back in stock on the website when it had supposedly sold out. I already had my other 3 and felt guilty so offered it to another MNer who missed out.

She very politely declined and now I am so glad she did! Day 4 and it is still at the No.1 spot!

@LEELULUMPKIN - that was lovely of you!
My top spot too, and I have, oh, five of the things. The others aren’t bad, but each of them have had something I’ve not been that impressed by.

Yes I love it too. 💕 my joint first with Cult Beauty which was around six times more expensive! Thanks so much for the recommendation Writers.

Anyone else up? I like the look of the jade roller! I’ve been eyeing these up before but not sure if it’s a gimmick or not. Still, happy to get one and looking forward to trying it. It’s nice and cool on the skin.

I've wondered about the jade roller too. It seems gimmicky but I could do with some help. Smile

Interesting one today! Never seen these rollers before so a new one on me. I have rosacea so think it'll be lovely and cooling Smile

Anyone tried the vit C serum yet? I want to give it a go but have sensitive skin and didn't get on with vit C serum the last time I tried it (not H&B though)

Report
LEELULUMPKIN · 05/12/2019 08:58

I am also v.pleased with the roller as it is a new concept for me, although looking in the mirror I would probably get better results with my marble rolling pin with the size of the bags under my eyes!

I am absolutely LOVING the micellar cleansing water AND the vit C serum.

I too have sensitive skin but both products have been bloody fantastic, I feel so clean and they are really refreshing and make my face feel really "awake".

These rollers are great for using with sheet face masks, you can use them to get all the essence into your skin quicker.
You can also use them for face massage, I have a rose quartz one, but it’s nice to have a jade one too!

If anyone who didn't get this calendar is hankering after a roller, I saw jade ones and rose quartz ones in Aldi this morning for £6.99.

Aw gutted I missed this one! It sounds right up my street. Shamelessly placemarking here to live vicariously and buying next year!

Well done, H&B. I don’t use manual exfoliants so much these days (I like my acids) but I will definitely use this (as will DH, I suspect).
