You bought a cat Not? How lovely, can we have a pic?
Re the OB glasses I could get prescription lenses in I guess but I've just forked out £400 for two new pairs (I feel Ill thinking about it 😱) so not much point. The Tom Ford prescription sunnies are very similar to them anyway. Woman in the shop was trying to convince me to buy go with some really wacky frames (think Timmy Mallet) - I was pleased to escape with my dignity intact to be honest.

justilou1 · 25/07/2019 21:48

@SoyYo - I think all mums can relate to that one when the kids go back to school!!!

NotAnActualSheep · 25/07/2019 22:03

They are sooooo expensive ella! (glasses, not cats... Though they are expensive too...) I'm basically blind without mine (v high prescription) and although it's cheaper than even a few years ago to get the lenses thinned so it doesn't look like my eyes are the size of saucers, my last pair were nearly 400 alone ShockConfusedShock. But I do wear them all the time, so pence per wear is negligible! Well done on avoiding the timmy mallet look (odd... I was showing a you tube clip of him to my DS earlier. He had developed a version of the mallet's mallet game and I was showing him the original...not thought about that for aaaaages)

ilovecherries · 25/07/2019 22:11

I didn’t need my prescription changed this time, but I’m heartily sick of my glasses, having had them 4 years and initially buying them for a fat face. I can’t really justify a big expense though as I do wear contacts a lot

You can get the much cheaper seemingly online if you just take your prescription. Some lovely styles too. Mine need replaced but it is such an expense need to stop clothes spending!
Anway, on that note have decided only to keep the paisley dress and the anokhi blouse. The rest is all going back.
All getting posted. Decided against the striped teal dress. I really don't like the material at all really. Its pretty scratchy and ive spent way too much so that's that and I love the paisley dress so it stays.

Flowersfor your hard day ..

halfgirlhalfturnip · 26/07/2019 09:54

I'm about to order hush online - not sure what the friend referral gives you but would anyone like to befriend me Smile?

ilovecherries · 26/07/2019 09:56

It’s so hard, never. I’ve lost a few close children in my life - my sister as a young teen, my niece at 7 with cancer, and then children of people I’ve met through hospital with DD. I probably look like I’m coping and shrugging it off because I tend to go cold and hard faced in an effort to hold things together, but it truly is the most horrendous thing. Big hugs.

Fabulous laska

twosoups1972 · 26/07/2019 12:26

@neveradullmoment99 I am so sorry that it was so hard, don’t feel bad for feeling like you do, you are human. Incredibly sad. I remember when I was at school, a young boy passed away from cancer. Even though I was only about 16 and I didn’t know him that well, it still struck me how a child could die Flowers

twosoups1972 · 26/07/2019 12:33

Finally got home at 6am Confused one disaster after another, when we finally landed at Heathrow, the stupid meet and greet parking people didn’t answer the phone for an hour, then when they did, they couldn’t find the car Angry You couldn’t make it up. In the end, me and the dds got a taxi home and left dh to sort the car out. He got home at 9am Shock But made it to dd’s hair appointment and she’s having her hair cut as I type.

neveradullmoment99 · 26/07/2019 13:45

@Laska2Meryls I remember you falling out with Plumo over their overpricing of an item. Well I was browsing their sales and found these:

www.plumo.com/products/Billy-sneakers.html

Billy sneakers? Actually these are novesta plimsoles on the toast website for £45!!!! Just look at the original price! £69. You are so right!

neveradullmoment99 · 26/07/2019 13:46

Thanks @soups x

neveradullmoment99 · 26/07/2019 13:47

Sounds a nightmare @soups. Glad you made it back..eventually!

Laska2Meryls · 26/07/2019 14:41

Yes ruddy Plumo, they are just CFs.. avoid!! I still seem to get their catalogues thigh even though I unsubscribed. It annoys me every time.. but they go straight from post box to recycling bin!!
Green paisley dress lovely but too big, the 14 is on its way though, im sure I will keep it..
