Well, even though my breast reduction hasn’t been a straight forward process by any means, I remembered today in sweltering heat that is has massive benefits already. I’m completely comfortable. Last year on holiday DH was horrified to see blood bubbling through the shoulders of my tee shirt and running down the front on a long sweaty walk. I think that was the moment when he shifted his position from ‘it’s your body, you should do what you want’ to ‘this is crazy. Let’s not wait any longer on the NHS list and get it done asap’. While the skin on my shoulders is permanently scarred with years of constant abrasion, I no longer have the whole performance of cream, gauze, and silicone pads etc every day. Even though I’m sometimes a bit down about the shape, I realise I’m really very fortunate.

I love everything, laska. You look, as always, completely cool and fabulous.

Wow! Excellent haul laska - you do look fab. I particularly love the green dress and jumper/ trouser combo. And the rust top/ denim skirt. And the leopard top come to mention it. (if you were after a cheaper rust top - this one is in the sale - but i do love the cut of the one you have)

I'm with you on never buying anything ever again... I did a silly thing with my last toast purchase and ordered some full price shoes to get free delivery. And now i don't want to send them back Wahhhhh. They are these ones . I will post a picture..they are so comfy and a lovely colour. But really? £165?? (Was so embarrassed i didn't want to own up to it at the time but this thread is a bit of a confessional. But I wasn't on the no-spend bench at the time. Am now though). Keep or return? I haven't seen anything else like them anywhere.

NotAnActualSheep · 24/07/2019 16:25

Oh cherries - missed your post! That's so good that there's a huge tangible benefit. Oooh - can't imagine having to lug around a half stone on your chest in the sweaty heat at the moment...

Laska2Meryls · 24/07/2019 16:28

Oh, and my blender jas just arrived . I had better go and look at the damage on my cc.. ( this may help me make my mind up ..Imsy have to think sensibly. but really I want to keep all of it) . Not I like the shoes, did you keep the grey trainers?

Laska2Meryls · 24/07/2019 16:28

.... I am no help....

NotAnActualSheep · 24/07/2019 16:31

NO ENABLING....

Grin

(That wasn't me with the grey trainers..I think it was soups ? I haven't bought any shoes for aaaaages. Apart from sandals. And white trainers. And those canvas pumps. Yes, well...)

ilovecherries · 24/07/2019 16:36

OMG. Those shoes. I wonder if I could wear them. Are they deep enough for orthotics, do you think. I'd pay twice that for a perfect pair of shoes if I could just walk in them. Sorry, no use! More enabling.

I quite like the fact that the toast models look a bit grim and pissed off. They are more my people than the happy bouncy hush ones (bad tempered old gimmer)

OP posts:
Laska2Meryls · 24/07/2019 16:58

well I think ( as you didnt buy the grey trainers) it would be rude not to keep them ( they are fab..) .. Right!! I am going to look at my credit card statement... this is going to be scary

NotAnActualSheep · 24/07/2019 17:00

Pah - you lot are rubbish! I want you to tell me they make my feet look like purple cornish pasties and I should send them back.

They are pretty deep cherries - and really wide at the front, which i think adds to the comfort. Not sure if the bit cut out at the side would affect support or something for you? But the leather is really soft so would probably mould pretty easily to whatever you want to put in them. The sides are supported though (arches). The reviews seem to suggest they are pretty true to size - and I'd agree. I'm a 5.5 or 6 and got a 39 and they are fine (prob a little on the large side with bare feet but would be fine with tights/ socks into autumn). I like that you can tighten the strap a fair amount - I have it on the tightest setting in the photos and would prob loosen by one hole with socks etc.

Lol @ the model comment. I think I may have just realised why it is i like the clothes so much! They are modelled by a skinny, tall version of me...

twosoups1972 · 24/07/2019 17:09

@sheep yes it was me with the grey trainers. I do love them though.

@ilovecherries the bleeding shoulders sound horrendous, you poor thing. Your dh sounds so lovely and supportive. Any update on the bra front since bravissimo?

Laska2Meryls · 24/07/2019 17:13

ShockShockShock. Ok that is a lot. I can pay it off though as being away( I pay it off every month )as I haven't spent any actual cash out of my bank account this month ..

So my only question is keep the full price items ... Denim skirt and rust top? .. or not?.. .. I reckon I know what you lot of enablers will say

I think ill send the Hush top back.. its nice .. but compared to the other stuff, not so. They still seem to have loads left..so I reckon it may go down in price again.. (or go on BA sometime )

Laska2Meryls · 24/07/2019 17:27

I also ordered the £10 M&S skirt that never has , here it is but I really do prefer the Toast one which is £115 !! (typical , eh)

Hushistas keep on keeping on!
neveradullmoment99 · 24/07/2019 19:14

I think the quality in the hand will be far better with the toast one. I do like the marks one on you though. If you really want to keep the toast one, you should cause you will constantly think about it. I know, Ive been there and ended up re-ordering things.
Well I have the anohki blouse to open and try and the paisley dress. Photos later or maybe tomorrow!

neveradullmoment99 · 24/07/2019 19:16

Put into piles. Must keep as I absolutely adore and stuff I think Is ok. That should sort it out. If you are not sure about the drop crotch trousers and whether you will wear them - return.

neveradullmoment99 · 24/07/2019 19:17

Keep the print trousers, toast denim skirt, linen jumper, green dress. Return all the rest.

dontcallmelen · 24/07/2019 19:19

Laska agree with never it’s a good way to focus the mind, I think you look fab in it all though, so no help.
cherries ouch ouch surgery has definitely had a huge benefit.
Not they do look incredibly comfortable.

neveradullmoment99 · 24/07/2019 19:21

@NotAnActualSheep - I love the shoes and think they would look great with trousers or a shorter skirt. Are they toast ones?

neveradullmoment99 · 24/07/2019 19:24

@NotAnActualSheep if you love them keep them. I remember doing the same with a pair of cheaney boots. I spent about £267 or something like that at the time. I was very embaressed to say but they are so beautiful.

neveradullmoment99 · 24/07/2019 19:25

I was actually considering buying the cheaney Mary Janes - until I came to my senses. I am actually relieved I have returned the dresses. Going to see what the parcels I have bring and then make a decision.
