Morning! Another busy work day ahead...
Re meet up I’m up for it wherever but need lots of advance notice and hopefully doesn’t clash with my assassin missions which sometimes get scheduled with not a lot of notice.
Also private FB group it would be great! Or WhatsApp group as that doesn’t involve setting up a FB account but you can still chat/post pics.

I received the Brighton sandals. They’re lovely. But they pinch just a tiny bit my wide hoofs and I know by now they have to fit perfectly to keep Sad, back they’ll go if anyone wants them in a 38 (now OOS) they’ll be there sometime next week.
Monaco grey trousers: great and keeping 10, a 12 will be going back (mentioning as they were OOS already in all sizes)
Finally some pretty mad leopard joggers which I’m keeping. Such a nice slim cut, I prefer them to the zebra ones I bought last winter and that’s saying something. Great for when I go to festival camping and some bike parties or just for home/popping to shops without needing to change.

Edinburgh sounds promising! I'll work in setting up a private FB group over the next few days. Anyone on FB who is already on the thread can PM me and I'll send details to them. I won't approve anyone joining unless they are a regular familiar poster on the thread and I recognise the Mumsnet username.

ilovecherries · 20/06/2019 09:26

Still not enough internet to load pictures - or to shop Halo but bloody bursting with exercise and fresh air. Halo (again). All this cavorting up mountains is an integral part of my buns of steel plan. Plus if I am going to need revision surgery want my cardio-resp to be absolutely optimal.

neveradullmoment99 · 20/06/2019 09:26

Sadly @Ellapaella what will happen is this thread will die. I have been on other forums and that's what happens.😥

ilovecherries · 20/06/2019 09:27

Me please, ella!

neveradullmoment99 · 20/06/2019 09:28

Happy to do whatsapp though

NotAnActualSheep · 20/06/2019 09:37

never - good call on the lydia. Definitely worth it to see, if you are sending the linen one back. I love the shape, and have been hankering after the "denim" one for a while. I have a navy one with thin orange/ cream stripes, but the fabric of that one has gone a bit warped with washing (It is pretty old i think) and a washed black noelle. I find the trouble with them is that the wide neck (while very flattering when properly adjusted)has a tendency to slide off my slidey shoulders and expose my bra strap. Not critical - but the sleeveless one seems less liable to do that as there aren't "shoulders" as such, and as it's more casual anyway it doesn't matter if that happens.

(Amusingly - the reason I was looking on the JL website was that DH asked me to look at some dining chairs that he had seen there earlier in the week. We need some new ones for tedious reasons. They are called lydia - so I typed that into the search box, and after the chairs, the toast dress came up showing the good reduction. Which send me down the JL Toast reduction rabbit hole...)

laska - that is always annoying. But you would have been annoyed if you had sent it back and it wasn't in the sale, or was sold out - as it is gorgeous. So you have had "peace of mind" that you've got something fabulous to wear on holiday. So worth the extra, i think justifies to self many purchases made that are reduced shortly after buying..

justi - we'll keep our fingers crossed Grin I think you're on a roll... Maybe we can set up a teleconference if not.

ella yy, definitely up for the 26th Oct! That'd be great! (Nope - never met anyone in real life as far as I'm aware soups - and if you're all actually bearded axe murderers, I'm not going to be very impressed Grin Shock ). Should we "open" that weekend for everyone, then (from Fri 25th Oct eve?) - with an option for another if there is a mass of unavailabilities then?

I don't use facebook or any other social media (long and boring story, that I don't mind sharing, but not on the internet)... but I do have a "silent" FB account in a different name, which I could use for a private group. I'm pretty sure none of you will expose me! (Can DM/PM the name from here so whoever sets it up knows I'm not actually some random with no friends).

Ellapaella · 20/06/2019 09:41

WhatsApp is fine by me if everyone prefers, I guess then everyone can join too. I'll start setting up a group this weekend. If you want to join then PM me your username and mobile phone number and I'll add you (I think it's just phone number we need?)

Ellapaella · 20/06/2019 09:42

If anyone can make fri 25th Edinburgh overnight? Or just the day on Saturday we could fix that up as a first meet up?

Ellapaella · 20/06/2019 09:42

Of October that is

Ellapaella · 20/06/2019 09:43

@ilovecherries sounds like you are having an amazing time! Has the weather improved? Lovely down here in Newcastle today.

ilovecherries · 20/06/2019 09:48

I guess the thing I like about FB is that it can be used on iPad/laptop etc as well, whereas WA (I believe, I’ve never used it) can only be used on phone. Plus I run a lot of client groups on FB, so while I don’t use my account much, I’m on there a lot, but tend normally only to use my phone for, well - old fashioned phone stuff 😂. However, if it’s everyone’s preference, I guess I can set up a WA account and learn how to use it.

ilovecherries · 20/06/2019 09:52

Weather is lovely - to the extent it is even allowing some signal through! It’s not sitting about hot, but it’s certainly warm enough for walks with just a tee shirt and trousers. Cold up Cairngorm yesterday though! And we are sleeping at night as if we’d been pole axed. Poor wee dog is shattered, think we need a quiet day today to let her recover a bit as she raced up and down the mountain like a puppy yesterday.

neveradullmoment99 · 20/06/2019 09:55

Much prefer whatsapp. I have also issues with facebook.

NotAnActualSheep · 20/06/2019 09:57

Sorry - that's what happens if trying to post while doing other things - I miss loads!

never - beautiful shirt (bargain!) and skirt. The shirt would look fab over pale skinny jeans i think - it's a lovely shape on you.

soy - what a pain (literally...) on the sandals. I did look at them in the sale, but the reviews said they came up small and narrow, and they didn't have my (larger) size anyway Sad - I'm somewhere between a 5 and 6 and can usually size down (though tend not to in preference) - but thought the 38 would probably be too narrow... But the monacos and joggers sound great!

soups - Bum - sorry, i didn't see your "anywhere but edinburgh' request. It's not THAT far! It's basically England... (don't hit me, true Scots..). Mcr and Bham are doable (and both lovely places) but as ella was going to be in Edin anyway, and there are a few in Scotland or the NE it seems easiest. Maybe we could set it up as a seasonal thing if it works and venture south next time??

cherries - sound like you're having a great time! Definitely buns-of-steel compliant!

Whatsapp could work too. I'm BAD at keeping up with that though! For some reason i can't do instant messaging. My brain just can't cope with instant response... I understand never's worries though - FB is just a private version of MN, basically, and i can see things moving there. And it feeling a bit cliquey. Maybe we should just set it up specifically to discuss arrangements for meeting IRL - and insist everything else takes place on this thread? (I mean, given we are all hush shills, we need to be SEEN to be praising hush in public to get our pay, no...?) Shock .

neveradullmoment99 · 20/06/2019 09:57

Proboards used to do a free private forum?

NotAnActualSheep · 20/06/2019 10:00

Nope - ignore that. Go for WhatsApp! And I'm sure I will get the hang of it. Plus it's more temporary, and its format means it will just be used for arranging stuff.

NotAnActualSheep · 20/06/2019 10:01

(to my previous comment - don't ignore never!)

neveradullmoment99 · 20/06/2019 10:04

ha ha ...@not Grin

I can also look into a private forum on proboards?? It is free and private and its similar to mumsnet except it would be just us.

neveradullmoment99 · 20/06/2019 10:10

Ok so I set one up with proboards. If you wish to join, can you message me?

neveradullmoment99 · 20/06/2019 10:15

I don't want to post the link on the public forum :)

Ellapaella · 20/06/2019 10:18

What's pro board? Never heard of it before

neveradullmoment99 · 20/06/2019 10:21

Its just a free forum you can set up. No-one else is on it. I will send you a link [by message] Have a look around it and see what you think.

Ellapaella · 20/06/2019 10:21

Can you post picks on pro board?

Ellapaella · 20/06/2019 10:22

For me it would be easier to use an app on smart phone as I don't use a laptop very often.
