Anyone bought anything from this online store? I like some of the summer dresses but worry they be terrible quality and the risks of sending back and refunds etc

The reviews on Trustpilot are very poor: see rikkishop. They are based in China! I would not buy anything - the quality is bound to be disappointing and you could end up with a large bill from Royal Mail and HMRC to clear through customs. (I made this mistake when ordering from the USA - never again!)

I've just received some 3/4 length pants from Damensein that I was really excited about. However, the quality is appalling, they fit my daughter who's a size 12 and I ordered a xxl more astoundingly, they're not the ones I ordered! What a waste of almost £30! Lesson learnt!!

Well my trousers arrived. Took about 3 weeks, no extra charges for customs or anything. They are very ordinary navy cotton trousers with an ugly elasticated waste which is too tight. I'm 5'8" but they are also much longer than the picture. I ordered them late at night so need to be less impulsive! Back to my search for nice 'balloon' trousers cheaper than plumo!

I tried to cancel my order with Damensin almost immediately. I had read that you have 24 hours to do so before they take 15% off your refund. The system said to email them at service and you would be given a help ticket etc. They didnt email be back at all over many days until I involved Paypal. I finally got a refund for the full amount but it took over 10 emails. Answers I got were not relevant and ignored my issue. On one of the replies the writing was Asian so I presume China.I was also posting messages on the facebook page and they kept being deleted. I did find similar clothes on Sarahia and Beauty Mis. There were many angry faces.I did notice that any question about quality or where they are based is not replied to but an immediate reply given to posting to countries or questions about credit card payments etc.Just don't trust them.

Ordered a top before I found all the comments here. It has just arrived and is a complete disaster. It is not cotton but a cheap man made very thin material and the colour is quite different, plus the stitching is appalling. Very much doubt I will get my money back.

Have now involved Paypal having received an email offering 15% refund. Do not want to let them get away with this.

I've bought quite a lot of Chinese stuff off eBay and it's the same type of thing that ends up on those websites (dresslily as well for eg)
eBay prices are far lower than that website and I've never had customs charges. I've had a couple of duds but when you pay less than £10 it doesn't matter that much.
Also eBay/PayPal will always side with you if you get something completely wrong - I've had that offer of a partial refund before and said no, PayPal refund the whole thing.
Try eBay for bargains - there are some to be had.

Just received my order. Quality terrible and sizing completely wrong (the t-shirt xxxl doesn't really fit my size 12 friend). I am going to send back but not holding my breath about being reimbursed....

I recently bought cut off trousers from them. They are nothing like the picture and it’s virtually impossible to return them and get a refund. The quality is shoddy and I’d warn anyone not to deal with these people - whoever they are!

Damensein emailed me and asked me for a review which was obviously negative. It has now been removed from their website!

Don’t do it! This company is based in China. The quality and style is nothing like the pictures. Not even cotton. The returns policy makes it virtually impossible to get a refund. I’ve wasted my money for sure. I’ve been offered 15% of the purchase price to pay to have the item altered! Crazy and useless.

Got Paypal involved and they say I can get a full refund of £28 if I return the top to the company in China and pay the full postage myself, plus pay for a tracking company and send copies of all actions to them. Honestly it is more time consuming than it is worth so am writing it off having learnt my lesson.

Hi, just received my order and they are definitely not like the ones on their website, done a bad review and it quickly got taken down ,I've asked for my money back but we will have to wait and see, but it's definitely a SCAM x

Damensein is a complete scam - I've just learnt this to my cost (£80) - dreadful clothes, not as described (light cheap corduroy rather than linen described - badly made).. Look them up - and on trust pilot. I've never been scammed quite like this before - and thought they would be fine because they were on fb. Costly mistake. They say I can return them but will only get 15% of cost as they will charge customs etc. They recommend that I alter them!!

This is such a shame as I had put loads of items in shopping basket and thought I had most of my holiday clothes sorted out.

Has anyone come across similar style clothes from a legitimate company? ( can't really stretch to Poetry but maybe somewhere in between)

Don't go near this company., Damensein. Bought five items, which looked good. Four have arrived, dreadful, nasty gear. Wouldn't even donate it to charity. So have new floor rags worth £104. Hey ho. Credit card co say if goods are as ordered, they can't judge quality, also want shedloads of paperwork. I did email Damensein and received reply this morning. Very strange. I am responsible for all return labels and postage to China. At 75 years old, I am going to write this off to experience. Oh yes, they offered 15 percent off to keep the tops so that I can have them altered to fit! I am not an internet shopper, have learnt a costly lesson. I have never reviewed anything online either, but please, avoid this odd company.

DO NOT TOUCH THIS COMPANY! Just bought their baggy style cropped trousers. Supposed to be a linen cotton blend fabric but it's heavy-duty needle cord - the sort you might use for upholstery. The sizing is terrible; they would be ideal for Coco the Clown. For a refund, I have to pay to send them to... get this.. China! And probably will incur customs charges on top of the postage costs. Why bother though when they will only offer me a 25% refund? Utterly atrocious! Really really pig-sick about it.

It's not a scam, but the clothes are the most appalling quality and you have to return to Hong Kong. Great.

Definitely a case of 'too good to be true' and 'you get what you pay for'.

My recommendation would be to avoid.
