Vol85 was far too slow and hopefully a shiny new thread will get us all excited again.

Lots has been going on with lots of stress for many of us but our love of fashion and friendship keeps us here.

lib not sure where toast is in London but sounds like you need regent st if want j crew. So try arket, stories, Anthropologie. Coach is down there too. There’s JL on oxford st which probably had and/or as our branch has them and they may have some of the other nice brands in their loved and found bit.

QueenCatalina · 22/06/2019 17:48

Can really see you in chunky trainers dtokey

libertyonhertravels · 23/06/2019 19:59

Thanks for the &OS tip. Anthropologie also a good reminder. Where is Arket?

Stokey you would rock those trainers.

MarshaBradyo · 23/06/2019 20:41

Lib agree on picking an area, Regent St sounds good

Stokey yes to the trainers for you

MarshaBradyo · 23/06/2019 20:42

Justa really fab sunnies

QueenCatalina · 23/06/2019 21:08

Arket is on regent st too.

Stop me buying another coach bag.....

FedupNagging · 23/06/2019 22:13

Was in Anthropology a couple of days ago - sensory overload! However I did buy this blouse. Way outside my comfort zone but was strangely drawn to it.

Lots of sale items in JL Lib including some winter bits and pieces.

I was after a simple cotton or linen shift dress that doesn't break the bank-how hard can it be? Turns out fairly difficult! Lots of gorgeous dresses but too floaty, flowery and mmf. I did find this striped number which fits the bill.

Finally I found a jumpsuit - very shapeless but oh so wearable from Uniqlo - think both Viva & Shop have it too . Liked it in the stripe too but worried I might look a bit like Andy Pandy Grin

Hope everyone had a good weekend

Dreamqueen · 24/06/2019 05:37

Fedup I bought that jumpsuit a few weeks ago. I love it. I'm on the family holiday in Italy & it's been one of my most successful outfits. So easy to wear.

Shop so sorry to read that your back is giving you so much pain.

Stokey I like those trainers.

MarshaBradyo · 24/06/2019 08:57

Great buys Fedup

Dream I hope you have a nice holiday

QueenC go on, you suit Coach

I just waved goodbye to ds for a week to go on camp. Had a small tear, ach to the heart, growing up. Tg for dd being tiny!

QueenCatalina · 24/06/2019 11:08

marsha I’m so tempted but do I really need another bag???
My dc went on camp last week. He’s come back and now I’ll do off school!

I’m going hardcore on diet and exercise as totally depressed at this extra weight. Because I cycle to work I’d been telling myself that was enough but I need to add in more even if it just 20mins a day. Am back on my fitness pal too to sort out my portion sizes.

MarshaBradyo · 24/06/2019 11:20

QueenC thinking of things I ask : is it different enough - if I walked into a room would anyone realise it’s not something else I own (people who know me), will I use it and how much, and do I love it - got to make me feel excited.

Usually things that pass have been great things to buy

I’m on the wagon too, I finally feel like I’m on an even keel after all dd health stuff I can focus on my well being (stress does not make me not eat!)

maradesbois · 24/06/2019 14:29

QueenC I hear you, am away for work this week so it’s tricky but when I’m back will be on it with good eating and exercise. I feel very sluggish.

Dream have a lovely hol, love the jumpsuit.

I found a brand I love called Sleeper, very pretty and whimsical. Bought a dress will link later.

justasecond · 24/06/2019 15:13

The trainers will look great on you stokey you should go for them.
Very pretty blouse fedup it's good to get something different sometimes although I don't follow my own advice enough! I thought I'd try a jumpsuit or dress this year but so far no success.
queenc I'm with you in spirit if not in action! Still feeling bloated. Is the bag different to others you have?
Look forward to seeing the dress mara forgot to say I absolutely loved the apc bag and had to restrain myself!
Hope back is a bit better shop

QueenCatalina · 24/06/2019 17:47

I’ve decided against the bag. I realised that it would give me some temporary happiness but isn’t the answer to life’s problems.

QueenCatalina · 24/06/2019 17:48

Sorry, that sounds really wanky but I’m having a bad day!

libertyonhertravels · 24/06/2019 19:19

Hope you are ok QueenC. Bags etc don't solve life problems. Nicer to get these things as a celebration when things are going well and someday things will feel better for you xxx

QueenCatalina · 24/06/2019 19:47

Thanks my lovely

shopafrolic · 24/06/2019 21:18

Back is still awful and to ad to my fun DH is now in hospital with jaundice and gall stones. I’ll be back when I can x

shopafrolic · 24/06/2019 21:35

QueenC big love as always

Everyonelovessparkles · 25/06/2019 11:56

(Slides back in hoping people remember me.....)

Hello everyone! Can’t believe it’s been so long since I last posted. I have been dipping back in now and again to try and keep up....

shop sorry to hear about your back and potential cancelling of your trip to Spain. I know you were really looking forward to it. Hope you DH is ok. You are really suffering this year with one thing and another. Flowers

blair the RL dress you wore to your sisters hen do was lovely and quite Sandro. Glad the wedding went well.

stokey how are the renovations coming on? Hope work is a bit better too....

mara lovely to see you back! I noticed that you had also been missing from the thread. Hope all is good with you.

dry the blue and green whistles dress you bought ages ok looked nice. Lovely colours. I was t sure if you would keep it when you posted it as it didn’t seem like your usual style but soemtimes it’s worth taking a chance on something different because as you found out, sometimes it a winner!

kitty is the stripey dress you wore the other day the one you wore to the MU last year? Was it from Zara? Think lib had it too? If so, you looked great in it!

queenc good luck with the exercising, I’ve been trying to keep a bit of a routine going. Also, as lib says, don’t buy the bag to cheer yourself up, buy it to remember something good.

lib did you find a bag? When are you over?

Sorry to all those who I have not mentioned, my brain is frazzled!

Thing have been pretty busy here. We went away during half term. It was ok. The weather was nice is all I’ll say Grin. I haven’t bought much as I didn’t feel like I needed anything and just wasn’t feeling the love for much. I was in JL on Friday and even though it was the dregs of the sales, I was so uninspired. I guess the miserable weather isn’t helping. I did buy this black hush dress which was pretty ££ for what it is, but I’ve worn it quite a lot so was worth it. I also bought this which is good to wear with jeans / denim shorts. I just seem to be constantly wearing my cropped jeans and a different cotton top like the Boden one with a blazer or my hush pink cardigan. I was tempted to get the black but looks like it might be sold out in the small now....

When is the next MU? I was going to try and come but my DH is now working most Saturdays but might be able to come later. Could someone PM me the info? Thanks!

MarshaBradyo · 25/06/2019 16:33

Hey Everyone lovely to see you on here I’ve pmd you

FedupNagging · 25/06/2019 18:12

Crikey Shop you're going through the mill atm. Hope dh has a swift recovery and that you're managing to cope.

Queen probably sensible to leave the bag at this juncture. I find wine & chocolate help enormously. Anyway, hope you're ok Thanks

Waves to Everyone - be lovely to see you at the mu

This weather is not kind to my hair- it's a frizzy mess today!

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 25/06/2019 21:08

Oh no shop poor DH and poor you, I hope he's ok. Must be so stressful for you Thanks

Stokey · 25/06/2019 21:51

Hi Everyone, lovely Hush dress. I haven't been that wowed by them this season but have just got a tiger jumpsuit in the sale.

Thanks for asking about work, it's loads better, mainly as my boss has realised I'm not the enemy.

Build feels long. We're at the delay stage, doesn't look like we'll get the kitchen in before the summer as the doors aren't coming til mid July, then the floor needs to be laid & cured & the joiner is on holiday for the whole of August. I'm over it tb be honest.

Dream & Shop hope DHs are recovering.

Sorry to be missing the MU. Will be at my first festival for at least 10 years, no idea what to wear. Think my thighs are too thunderous to channel the cut offs & wellies look.

DryWhiteagainW · 26/06/2019 19:07

Oh my goodness .....I lost the tread. Started to panic!
Marsha those are very good shopping questions.
QueenC good call.
I’m waiting for the heatwave. Meanwhile I’m dressing for a heatwave (it’s bloody summer isn’t it?!!!) with heat tech and StTropez and pretending it is hot (bit goose pimply Grin).......it WILL be hot.

Saw a beautiful woman wearing this skirt today with a fitted black sweater and flat tan H slip on sandals (May have been Hermes as May the bag that matched, Birkin obv) .......and then guess what happened? I bought it too because I’m her twin (blonde, tiny and 30 max Grin ).....KITTY you need the skirt too.
