Vol85 was far too slow and hopefully a shiny new thread will get us all excited again.

Lots has been going on with lots of stress for many of us but our love of fashion and friendship keeps us here.

Forgot to say I love the sophie hulme bag blair looks like a good buy.

I bought some sunglasses today, will link them in a bit. Out of my comfort zone but I really like them.

Looking forward to the mini heatwave!

MarshaBradyo · 21/06/2019 18:04

That’s a toughie Shop Sad
When my back was agony I could not have sat on a plane but it did take about a week from that to being possible - I didn’t have an MRI so don’t know what it was. And you don’t know how long it will last before it gets better.
I suppose you could ask what if... would they even know anyone to take your place

MarshaBradyo · 21/06/2019 18:06

Justa looking forward to link, my Chloe are a bit out there but I love them

MarshaBradyo · 21/06/2019 18:10

I mean a week from starting to get better to being able to sit

shopafrolic · 21/06/2019 19:04

I’m under the care of a rheumatologist at BUPA. Have had MRI and bloods but not due to get results until after the trip. Currently I can’t sit for longer than 20 mins and only get 45 mins pain relief at a time despite taking really strong drugs. Sounds really childish but I can’t drink, can’t dance and these girls party hard. DH says just cancel and he doesn’t mind about the £. I may be able to get a letter from the consultant to claim some costs back on insurance. It’s not just my back but joints too. Swollen under etc. I just fee shit. Sleep loads and am v teary. The pain has been since end of May no change so I can’t see how that will change in a week!

MarshaBradyo · 21/06/2019 19:08

No it would be very timely if it did get better just in time, so I doubt it

Pain relief did bugger all for me too Sad

Do the insurance thing

MarshaBradyo · 21/06/2019 19:14

Reading how you feel it doesn’t sound possible Sad I’d be surprised if insurance didn’t cover it though

shopafrolic · 21/06/2019 20:29

Just told my friend that I don’t think I can make it Sad

kittyhello · 21/06/2019 20:32

Aw Shop such a difficult decision but maybe you have to be sensible this time. Sounds as if you're in agony Thanks are you likely to feel any better in s week? Are you in the right frame of mind to go? Sending you big hugs. xx

Lovely bag Blair

Great red links Fedup

Looking forward to your sunnies link Justa

Marsha I hate spending on boring household goods. My Nespresso machine packed up last week so bought one in a different colour and had to change the kettle to match Hmm

Drinking Aperol Spritz and watching Riviera, oh the glamour on a Friday nightGrin

kittyhello · 21/06/2019 20:34

Crossed post Shop sounds like you made the right decision. Hope your friend is understanding. xx

MarshaBradyo · 21/06/2019 21:57

Love the mutual white good annoyance

Lo I have booked the little Italian place, same area we’ve been before, for 4.00pm when we inevitably get kicked out. Beats walking around lost and looking. Getting excited now! Going to have to brief dh big time on all day toddler care

libertyonhertravels · 21/06/2019 22:15

Shop sounds like a good call on the holiday. It's horrible missing it but sounds like it could be miserable for you.

QueenCatalina · 22/06/2019 09:22

kitty I love how you had to change the kettle to match!
shop so disappointing for you but it sounds like the right decision
blair fab bag

It’s so nice to finally see some blue sky and sun-I didn’t realise how much I’d missed it!

QueenCatalina · 22/06/2019 09:37

How stunning does kate look

Mumsnet Vogue vol.86 the spring/summer edition
QueenCatalina · 22/06/2019 09:38

From the JL order the j crew top is a keeper and I love the curvy toothpick jeans!

libertyonhertravels · 22/06/2019 10:06

Kate looks amazing. Sets a high bar for us fellow 40 somethings.

libertyonhertravels · 22/06/2019 10:09

I'm trying to plan my UK shopping. Won't have much time! Thinking my must do's are Toast, Whistles, Cos, JCrew and possibly Coach. What are the MNV recommendations knowing my colours / style for places I need to check out?

libertyonhertravels · 22/06/2019 10:11

I want couple of dresses, casual jacket, earrings, headbands, tops/blouses, maybe some Chelsea Boots.

libertyonhertravels · 22/06/2019 10:12

Maybe Uniqlo too?

VivaVegas · 22/06/2019 10:36

What a shame Shop but sounds as though if you go you wouldn't enjoy it. Such a shame when things like this happen.
She looks fab Queen.
So nice to be warm and sunny, a weekend of things planned with DC and friends today and then a lazy boozy lunch for me tomorrow!
Enjoy your weekends ☀️

kittyhello · 22/06/2019 11:27

Lib John Lewis have upped their game recently And/Or - their own brand have some great pieces, they now sell JCrew and Madewell. You may struggle with finishing Chelsea boots atm, it's all summer footwear but Google shops which have them in stock and target them. Really sorry I'm not going to see you at the MU - dh is on holiday. I want to see lots of pics.

Queen I like my JCrew jeans too, bargainous at £30

justasecond · 22/06/2019 11:28

That's such a shame shop but sounds like the best thing to do with that much pain Flowers

pin.it/fucvcpxxux4j7g these are the sunglasses!

libertyonhertravels · 22/06/2019 12:41

Oh I can see you in those Justa.

Thanks kitty I'm so sorry I won't see you. I'll add JL to the list. Mid Life Chic blog has been recommending And/Or jeans.

justasecond · 22/06/2019 12:45

Maybe add stories and Arket to your list? I find them better than Cos these days, mainly because cos repeats so many of their styles.

Stokey · 22/06/2019 12:47

Sorry to hear you're in such pain Shop, right decision but really tough.

Lib &OS is having a massive Autumn theme this year, very little in my palette so should be good for you!

What do people think of these trainers? My Stans are dying so thinking of trying something different.
