I’m starting a new thread because you lovely lot filled the old one with pics suggesting gorgeous dresses for- ahem- older or less-confident brides.

Thanks to you all I’m now in a position of having to choose between three I love!

I love that pink dress and I usually hate pink. It really suits you.

I second the tip about holding your peonies low in pictures. Everyone holds them naturally in front of busy and it makes everyone look bigger. Hold them loose and your hip/ tummy so your boobs are at the top. Draws attention away from your hips and focuses it up towards boobs and fabulous face! It feels unnatural but look so much better in pictures!

Get a nice metallic clutch. Jigsaw has a gorgeous 'wristlet' in stock. For practicalities on the day. Avoid for pictures though.

I'm in agreement, pink dress and the red dress for another time. Wasn't keen on the green. I think ivory shoes to match the flowers, and a little ivory clutch bag if you can find one (someone else can hold it if need be).

Why ever not? If that wasn’t advisable, designers wouldn’t make co-ordinating bags and shoes, would they.

Ditch the clutch altogether. Who do you need to phone at your wedding unless you need a getaway car

I dislike matched bag and shoes too. Although HM naturally is the exception.

Her Madge, who, as you can see, passes her old hats on to moi, has told me that Pink has special dispensation from the Crown to go full on matchy-matchy should she so wish.

So I think you’re all decided but can I add another vote for the pink one? The red and green just aren’t special enough for me whereas the pink, maybe because it’s more fitted and structured, really works.
