I’m starting a new thread because you lovely lot filled the old one with pics suggesting gorgeous dresses for- ahem- older or less-confident brides.

Thanks to you all I’m now in a position of having to choose between three I love!

I completely disagree. Ted Baker shoes and matching Ted Baker clutch finishes a dress perfectly. It certainly doesn’t “cheapen” it.

Still with the pink dress, and some ivory sandals from Next, which arrived this week.

I’m sorry I’ve not been updating. RL has been getting in the way this week (closing our shop and old parent wrangling) but the wedding is a week tomorrow so it’s full steam ahead! Getting very excited!

That pink dress is fabulous on you- where is it from? I think red shoes and bag- fuck the flowers, you won't be holding them all night.

I’ll have to have a think. The problem with borrowing is that we’re not telling many people we’re getting wed!

The Bluebell perfume is a Penhaligon’s one. It’s lovely - very green and woody.

Could you maybe borrow some nail polish to paint your toes on the day say from DS's GF or something? Bit random, but quite a cute "borrow"

That’s a good idea! I’ll do that! Maybe not nail polish as I’m having gel finger and toe nails, but I’m sure she’ll lend me a bit of hairspray or something

So, I’m sorted with my old, new, borrowed and blue.

Old - I have an Anglo-Saxon ring I’m going to wear. Soon-to-be DH has a degree in archaeology and is particularly interested in the Anglo-Saxons so it kind of fits. And I love the ring, and thought that something that someone lost in a field a thousand years ago will play a part in my wedding

New - dress

Borrowed - DH is going to lend me a hanky that was his late dad’s. It has his initial embroidered on, so it’s nice he’ll be represented.

Blue - Bluebell perfume, blue eyes and I might get just one toenail painted blue!
