I am NOT enjoying choosing my wedding dress - pics

I’m getting married on my 45th birthday, in just a couple of weeks - and I’m so excited.

Except I’m at my fattest. Ever. And suddenly who I feel I am inside doesn’t match what’s in the mirror.

I simply can’t find a dress that suits me.

I keep thinking I’ve found ‘the one’ - then I see the pics and just feel I look heinous, and back it goes.

If I show the pics, can anyone out there give me honest feedback, make suggestions etc?

It’s a tiny registry office wedding followed by a nice dinner after.

Number 2 is gorgeous, a bit different but won't date and a fab cut for you. Just needs some pops of bright colour to liven it up - flowers, accessories shoes etc.

Only thing is I'm not sure your red shoes will go - have you tried?

I’ll await the verdict of my fairy godmothers. I do think the second looks more expensive. The first one only has embroidery at the front which makes me wonder if it cheapens it a bit?

That is lovely MrsT4 but I don’t think it’s right for a city wedding. If I was getting married on a beach it’d be lovely, but we’re getting married in Old Marylebone Town Hall and then jumping in a cab and heading down to The Ivy.

Love that last picture you posted. The flowery one is nice too, but the last one is more special and suits you better.

Oooh or a chunky metallic could be lush! I'd be tempted to go really bold colour palette, really show your personal style. Bring out the mix of colours you seem drawn to in the embroidered garments in the accessories.
