Hello😀 Been busy at work and then a course. So tired! Sounds like a great plan @cherries. I love a new venture! All this talk about white trainers!
Ive come to realise im not much of a white trainer person! My hush chambray jumpsuit came back order today. I wasnt in but will try and collect on Thursday as im off. Thank goodness for a long weekend!

Laska2Meryls · 30/04/2019 21:14

I haven't ordered the Cupar, (yet... although I really like them) because , I'm not sure If I do white trainers either.... still thinking about it ? They are £££

but its payday , so I have ordered the Midnight Laredo, and a pair of black relaxed trousers.. Basics really to fill in holes in wardrobe,.. hoping they will work to pull together other things now I have slimmed down the clothes pile a bit .. ( who am I kidding?..)

ilovecherries · 30/04/2019 21:30

I am hanging out for either a MayDay or a Bank holiday code

Laska2Meryls · 30/04/2019 21:31

Laska2Meryls · 30/04/2019 21:32

If anyone is crafty - dd3 wants to make a photo book for dd1’s 18th with pictures of them together. I suggested getting one printed from Photobox etc but she wants to do it by hand, buy a blank album which she can decorate and put the pictures in. So I assume I’ll have to get the photos printed out on photo paper? I can’t just put them in a word document and print on normal paper? Help I am rubbish with this sort of thing and we only have a few days.

Elllllle · 01/05/2019 07:26

Have worn the pink and red zebra jumper that I ordered and I absolutely love it. Have received a number of compliments. It's very light weight (suitable for a cool summer day) and a little over-sized. Also, apparently looks somehow expensive/designer. Anyway, very happy. Would wait for a code or sale to buy though, as usual it's completely overpriced. Jumper here

ilovecherries · 01/05/2019 08:07

Sorry, soups, no idea. I’m a trifle cack handed when it comes to crafts.

ellllle, good buy!

dontcallmelen · 01/05/2019 08:55

elllle very pretty & lovely colour👍🏼
Soups sorry I’m rubbish at anything remotely techy, dd made something similar for me & I think she got the pictures printed in somewhere like snappy snaps.

ilovecherries · 01/05/2019 09:01

I know that dd uses the photo printing machines in our local Boots to print off her portfolio shots. I think she takes them in on a USB. No idea what it costs, but I know she thinks it’s cheaper than photo paper and gobbling up coloured ink.

Wow @Cherries! I haven't checked this for a few days, and I've just read your update! What a fabulous plan! I'm so proud of you!!! I need you to come here and style me up!

Laska2Meryls · 01/05/2019 11:14

Am Ms Hushmax today Grin. Wearing grey wide top, Navy Chamonix crops, Blue Brakeburn trainers from last year.
and I may have sent for a khaki wren jacket just for a look-see

ilovecherries · 01/05/2019 11:50

I’m in next, boden and H&M today. Next boyfriend jeans (love these!), embroidered H&M tee, and boden cashmere cropped cardi cause it’s freezing. I hate reopening the vacuum bags once they are sealed for the summer, but I was so cold.

Parcel has arrived. First impressions are good but I’m a stone overweight so tbh I don’t like any of it on me but this is purely due to me being “down” on myself.
I think I’ll keep the marina stripy skirt as useful for work in the summer but if I’m honest don’t love it as much as the snake marina. I half tucked a t shirt in to show you, needs a shortish top methinks. This is a 10 and very generous so size down if you decide to try.
The v neck navy top (laska ordered the same) I sized down to S. it’ll be useful and nice light fabric for SS a lot less voluminous than the AW wide tops which is fine. Just threw on top of leggings I’m wearing at home today.
Finally the t shirt dress. Fabric is lovely and light, love the print. BUT I’m not so sure the dress is flattering on my shape Sad this is a 12 and couldn’t size down further as I think it’ll be too tight across the chest.

Sometimes looking at the photos gives you a new perspective. The Marina looks okay actually and I got it with 10% off so I think I’ll keep.
The dress is a disaster, despite living the fabric it hangs like a tent off my boobs. I think it would look far better on someone less well endowed so don’t let me put you off.
Sitting on the fence with the v neck top too. It’s okay but I’m not bowled over...Hmm

ilovecherries · 01/05/2019 13:09

I think the marina is lovely on you, def with a tuck though. Its very different from the snakeskin so it doesn't look as if you've bought the same skirt in diff colours (not that it would matter if you HAD, I just mean it is a fresh, different look). The v neck tops - practical tops, but not sure they merit hush prices? The dress - I think probably something that gave you a bit more definition would work better, although I do actually quite like that style of dress for summer - plenty of wafting the nethers potential :) Does it have side splits - I do think it needs them to give it more movement as you walk.

Huffthepuff · 01/05/2019 13:14

I like it all on you Soy! But only you know how it fits - specifically the dress. From the photos it all seems great. Defo keep the marina, that looks really lovely. Yy to tuck in top or cropped jacket to make the most of the shape

dontcallmelen · 01/05/2019 13:15

Soy stripey skirt is lovely on you, the top is fine a handy plain top is always useful, the dress doesn’t look awful I just don’t think the shape or length is suiting you, if it was a bit shorter then I think it would hang better it would look the same on me tbh as we are not blessed with much height, try not to be so hard on yourself you are fabulous 😍
Easier said than done I know some day.

SoyYo · 01/05/2019 13:16

Thanks @cherries for the fast feedback.
Totally agree on the skirt it’s a “happy” summer skirt and easy to dress up/down. Yes it needs a shortish top or a half tuck with a longer T.
The v neck top and dress are packed already to return Wink totally agree re v top cost: it’s nice but not worth it at full price. I actually prefer the AW wide shape to this shape which is a bit ordinary tbh.
The dress has side splits and moves/doesn’t cling. If you’re looking for a super light summer dress I’d recommend but not with big boobs! It’s like a tent on me because it’s not cut on the bias so kind of hangs off my chest.

SoyYo · 01/05/2019 13:21

Thank you @len it’s being too kind on myself that’s contributed to the weight gain Grin but I know just what you mean and thanks for saying it. Yes us shorties have to be careful with dress length (as if boob challenge wasn’t enough!)
@Huff thank you too! Yes the Marina is deffo the keeper of this little lot, the stripes will go with so many things and I tend to wear more sombre colours up top to minimise my top heavy frame so nice to have a happy summer skirt Smile

dontcallmelen · 01/05/2019 13:25

days ffs this autocorrect drives me insane.

dontcallmelen · 01/05/2019 13:28

Yy if it had a bias cut, would hang better from the boob area.

dontcallmelen · 01/05/2019 13:36

I’m in T-shirt & pj bottoms, been having a marathon trying on session as I’m going to my friends 60th birthday party on Saturday, i tried on a gold sequin dress that I bought a couple of years ago & still has the labels on😳 but not sure what jacket I could wear with it as it’s going to be quite chilly on Saturday & it’s on a boat.
Have a pretty pale pink dress with a full skirt, or a navy off the shoulder with ruched sides, plain black shift with the monsoon sequin jacket or black wide leg tailored trousers/top/ jacket combo?

SoyYo · 01/05/2019 13:36

I knew what you meant @len Smile
So I used a £20 off voucher for the v neck/dress order (a separate 10% off for the stripy Marina order).
I’m going to email Hush CS since I’m returning the whole order for refund to ask if they’ll still honour the £20 voucher on a future order I may get to keep...
I’ll let you know what they say Wink

SoyYo · 01/05/2019 13:41

@len you’ve got such a lovely petite figure I’m sure any of those would look fab. Out of the descriptions I quite like the wide trousers/jacket, followed by the black shift/sequin jacket. BUT the gold sequin dress deserves an outing the most if only to ensure you don’t feel guilty anymore about never having worn (plus it sounds fabulous!) what about a pashmina round the shoulders to keep warm?
