I'm going to a summer evening event and I need to fucking slay.

I'm average height, size 14 (but on diet) with big boobs. Can't go bra-less. Will wear bare legs with fake tan, and brown leather heeled sandals.

I want full on summer glory. Thinking green background with lush florals. Possibly flouncy. I want to look like a walking summer day. Money no object within reason. Open to short sleeves but not full length.

Any beauties out there?

I assume you've already looked at Kitri, Rixo and Self Portrait. I am assuming that "money no object within reason" means £250-300 isn't a problem. Just a pretty dress that you are unlikely to see anyone else wearing?

XingMing · 06/04/2019 19:43

Also Ganni, Essential Antwerp and Me & Em.

I've never heard of those three brands Xing! I'd expect to pay up to 200 quid, I guess that's my 'within reason'.

I'll have a look....

Morris, I have no idea about dresses and shit but for sure I am gonna use your term 'slay'

As you were, comrades

MorrisZapp · 06/04/2019 19:46

Ooh! I saw the Whistles one in John Lewis, yes that's exactly the kind of colour I want. Perhaps with bolder floral? I'm not sure about the shirt style top, but I think I should try it on. I'll try it on.

I appreciate this meets precisely none of your brief but it is very pretty and I wish I had a reason to buy it: www.johnlewis.com/somerset-by-alice-temperley-lace-floral-print-jumpsuit-black-print/p3899389

I'm similar shape to you as you've described yourself and these dresses are beautifully made, well supported and lovely fabric. Worth a look...

RedLemonade · 06/04/2019 19:57

These are all stunning! Sorry, should have said I absolutely don't want a maxi.

Some of the Bombshell ones are fab, is this an online brand or are they in any shops?

This. I'm lusting after it myself.

Or this

Needle and Thread have some lovely stuff, even if a bit over budget, it would definitely be worth it.
