I am going to the Launch Party for a band's new single at a swanky London Nightclub (but it is early evening). The band (boys) are in their early twenties... I am not .

I have put a photo in my profile (gallery?) you should be able to see it if you click on my nickname. With accessories (thinner thighs would be good) could I go in this outfit??!

Agree about the cardi

ZZMum · 08/07/2007 21:21

I would say .... no

Coolmama · 08/07/2007 21:22

no - wear the top with a cool pair of jeans and not the cardigan - cool without looking like you are trying too hard.

fashiongurusplease · 08/07/2007 21:23

Thank you! Righto about cardi (although it made me feel more than half dressed and it looks a bit less grannyish in real life). Will try to add some pics of the alternatives.

pose a bit as well, pull your shoulder back

controlfreaky2 · 08/07/2007 21:23

the cardi has got to go!
what are the sleeves like? if none you'd be better off with thin long / 3/4 sleeved top (black / bright colour) underneath the dress / tunic....
are you wearing tights / skinny jeans in the photo?

controlfreaky2 · 08/07/2007 21:24

sorry!

CHOCOLATEPEANUT · 08/07/2007 21:24

No

Colour drains you (sorry)

I would play it safe with nice jeans and sparkly t shirt/top

but then i luv a bit of glamour!!

Wisteria · 08/07/2007 21:24

I think you look great - fab legs btw

Don't think the cardi helps at all, wrong colour and hides your figure, either a black short cardi (shrug) or nothing x

lisad123 · 08/07/2007 21:24

I would agree, I would wear the top with dark blue jeans and those boots. No cardi.

um, it looks as though everything has shrunk in the wash

DoubleBluff · 08/07/2007 21:25

errmmmm - the boots are nice.

Rumpel · 08/07/2007 21:25

No Cardi is too old and doesnt go and ankle boots are not very flattering - you have good figure so should choose something to show it off - nipped in at the waist.

Rumpel · 08/07/2007 21:27

Sorry they looked a bit like ankle boots! My apologies - but boots in the summer? Nice shoes would be better IMO.

fransmom · 08/07/2007 21:28

no sorry. but the top would look great with some dark jeans and boots

fransmom · 08/07/2007 21:29

ah sorry. def strappy shoes depends if you like wearing heels tho

fashiongurusplease · 08/07/2007 21:30

thanks for comments so far - just put another couple of outfit pics up, so will read them properly now!
