Christmas and the sales are sadly over but winter is still here for a few months yet.

jigsaw top. lovely but a bit meh for the price.
selected top. Colour was a bit meh and not vivid enough for me
editor jeans. Loved these and thought I’d finally found the elusive straight legs I’d been looking for. However I decided that to do them justice they needed different tops to what I usually wear and I love all my tops so decided just to stick to skinnies for now. Also couldn’t work out what shoes to wear with them as trainers didn’t go.
bananarcrepublic. The most gorgeous colour and looked amazing but the shape was weird and also horrid material (thin polyester).
hush cardigan. Absolutely loved this but again, the blue was just too meh for me. Was hoping it would be more cobalt than it was.

Keepers...
selceted. The same as the one I sent back but a much better colour for me. Not strictly a winter colour as it’s more pastel and iced blue but I think it looks nice
pumps. Bought these on a whim as just loved them in the shop. Had a hard time deciding which colour to buy but went for the blue.
jacket. Totally off piste for me in terms of style and colour but I actually love it and feel trendy in it! I’ve been trying to break out a bit from my navy comfort zone.

I think the banana republic link has linked the beige one but it’s actually the khaki one I have.

And one more thing...
sezane. Love this. Was worried about it being silk which I usually hate but this doesn’t freak me out like some silks do.

Oh, blingy it’s not a deodorant that’s made a difference to me but switching to soap from shower gel. I’ve always been a sweaty smelly person but was having a hard time getting rid of the smell. Until I read about soap on a thread on here.

Thanks for the soap tip. I will try swapping to soap for underarms and gel everywhere else (as I find soap very drying)
, to make my routine even more complicated! I am currently using 3 body lotions/oils. Bio oil for my back and tummy, l'occitaine almond oil for my boobs and khiels creme de corps for arms and legs. Thankfully dh hasn't noticed yet.

feeling very stressed right now, i have a neuro appointment this coming week, i can't remember if i mentioned it but it turns out, i have a genetic brain abnormality which is whats been making me so ill for years and years and it was found by accident when i was having a check up for something else. So my first neuro appointment is this week so hoping to come away with an idea of what tests ill be having and some more info about whats wrong with me. I just can't remember if ive mentioned it on thread before now or not, unfortunately, memory loss is one of the symptoms and its got me well in its grip!

No fashion news to report, nothings been catching my eye really, oh but i did buy some silver glitter dr marten boots, i'm sure no ones shocked by that at all

Fedup lovely autumn weather here, cold crisp sunny morning then warming up to about 17C.

Mobility is much improved now blingy i'm able, because of the chair, to have longer days out now and do trips i couldn't before because i'd get too tired trying to walk them, which is a bonus. It is utterly shocking though just how many people treat you either like you're totally stupid or invisible when you're in a chair. I'm used tot hat somewhat with the crutches but its much more obvious when im in my chair, i speak to people and they look right through me and only acknowledge whoevers pushing me, its....an experience shall we say

One that sounds horrible, do they look embarrassed if you reply to them rather than the person with you? It's good that it's enabling you to get out more easily. I hope the appointment and tests give you more answers, it must be daunting though.

Lots of posts on here in the last few days, I love it! Blingy thank you for saying what you did about that floral top, it gave me doubts and my sister stayed the weekend (DH was at her fiance's stag do) and she tried it on and is keeping it! So silly of me lol, it was really her. And re the skirts, we had a joint revelation that anything drapey (all these pleated midi skirts or others that skim the body) looks terrible on us as we are true pears and have saddlebags (the widest part of our legs is a few inches below the hips) so the fabric hangs from there and makes us look really wide! Today I'm wearing one of my jersey Me+Em dresses and I can't believe I was going to give them away. I need to go back to what suits me rather than trying to wear trends.

We went shopping yesterday and I made my first Cos purchases, a navy merino turtleneck in the sale and a navy/white/yellow striped t-shirt with short sleeves. I also tried this green top but it wasn't fitted enough, I need something in this colour now though as it's one of my best. Also tried these work trousers in navy but they were very tight on my thighs and loose on my calves. I need to lose my last few pounds I think.

Blingy I LOVE the Chloe top for you, and the McQueen dress, just perfect. I need to remember that we often like the same sort of dresses. Animal print sadly doesn't work for me though.

Shop yes I have this and it's pretty good (sometimes i wear it without concealer on top if I can't be bothered, obviously not since having DS!) but when I bought it I really wanted a primer for the under eye area which it isn't. I am thinking of getting the nars or smashbox primer to try next.

Blair I really know how you feel. I know what suits me and my shape, keep trying trends, trying to get out of a rut, that’s when I make mistakes. It’s hard. Knowing “what suits you” is very close to being in “a style rut”, I struggle with that a lot.

QueenC, i tried soap under my arms this morning. It didn't work for me. Is it just normal soap? I have the Mitchum roll on now so will give that a go tomorrow.

The dcs and i popped out briefly this evening. Dd was wearing a slouchy top, black leggings and red DMs. Over the top she was wearing a parka with a furry hood. She looked so cool and i just wanted to be her.
