I'm calling it! You know the rules, wear a different lipstick every day this month. (I love this and look forward to it every year.) Has it been a year already? Shock I've been buying make-up (again) and have some lippies I need to get through! I'm not wearing anything at the moment, that will change come morning though. Smile

Gorgeous lips ladies. I’m in Wet n wild. £2.49 on amazon! Great colour although rubbish cases that are very easily damaged in pockets and bags.

That pillar box is a great colour love

SapphireSeptember · 07/01/2019 00:11

That Wet n Wild one is lovely!

Today was NYX soft matte lip cream in Seoul. Bright purple, very comfortable to wear and stained my lips pink. (I actually like lippies that stain my lips, some of the brighter Revlon ones I own do the same.) Smile

Is it just me who finds my lipstick looks wonky in photos but not real life? I have the superhuman magnifying mirror so it's not a zoom thing!

Today's effort is huda liquid matte in heartbreaker, applied with mac cherry lip pencil

Chanel Coco Shine in Noir Moderne

Doesn’t last but leaves a faint stain behind.

stats they are serious lips for first thing on a Monday Morning. Love it.

BollocksIsNoACompleteSentence · 07/01/2019 13:06

RiskIt (or anyone!) would you say the Dior Lip Glow is worth the price?

Typical timing, my phone camera is broken, it won't focus which gives a flattering but inaccurate blurry picture Grin

LOTD (Lipstick Of The Day) is a Rimmel Lasting Finish Colour Rush, the case is worn away so can't see what shade it is but have attached pics. I love these, they're like a balm and you can "layer" the colour and they last.

For stain lovers (sounds wrong Blush) I've recommended here before I think but I love love love Lipstains Gold by Ultra Glow - nothing shifts these! Excellent value. They used to make the Magic Lips (for those of us old enough to remember!) where they were green and blue etc but turned red and pink etc on lips. I loved them too!

Just on the off chance anyone hasn't seen them (you all probably have Grin)

Oh it won't let me post a screenshot! I wonder if it's to do with my camera. Gah.

princessbear80 · 07/01/2019 13:08

Beautiful colours today, I want them both!

Just lip balm today for me (Burt Bees) as I’m in trackies working at home and unlikely to leave the house.

Lottapianos · 07/01/2019 13:58

Stats, I'm wearing something similar today- NYX Matte lipstick in Bloody Mary. Great formula, great long lasting colour, bargain price

loveisenough · 07/01/2019 14:44

Today I am wearing Clinique Pop in Nude Pop which was a freebie with purchase last summer I think. It is a bit light and slightly sparkly for me but will probably be good as a top coat over other colours.

The lip glow is really nice, but it is quite expensive for a lipstick, so it's a hard one. I would probably buy more/again, so that would mean that I think they are worth the price - but I have to admit that I don't know if there are similar products on the market at a lower price and similar quality.

It is quite a balmy lipstick - but still quite pigmented, similar to the Clinique Chubby Sticks and the Guerlain La Petite Robe Noire lipsticks - but the one I have from Dior is matte, which I don't remember seeing before (not all of the Dior ones are matte though).

Today, I'm wearing Mac D for Danger - a really nice berry colour.
I'm just at home, baking and cleaning (baby is due on Wednesday, and there's so much I'd like to sort out - hopefully he will be a bit late), but I still enjoy doing my makeup and am trying to get the most out of it while I can :)

AnotherPinkiePieStory · 07/01/2019 15:16

Love that Huda one Stats. I’m quite dangerously at the airport and quite tempted by Mac stand. They have full size Lady Danger, Ruby thingy and chill for £31. Soooo tempted!

BusterGonad · 07/01/2019 15:38

Stats lovely lippy, I've got a very similar Marc Jacobs one. Might wear it tomorrow and post a pic!

Lottapianos · 07/01/2019 17:17

Do it Pinkie! That's a bargain

SapphireSeptember · 07/01/2019 20:45

I agree with Lotta! Do it!

Today I have worn two lipsticks. Essence velvet matte lipstick in Hungry Pink, (I don't get the name, but whatever,) and NYX cosmic metals lip cream in Galactic. The velvet matte lipsticks are the replacement for the matt matt matt lipsticks, and they smell and taste like raspberry ripple ice cream!

xtravaganz.com/2018/08/review-essence-cosmetics-velvet-matte-lipsticks-swatches-tragebilder/

(I want all of them and have four so far, but we don't have Purple Rave (not really purple) or It's Ore 'O' Clock in the UK.)

www.325blvd.com/2016/09/12/nyx-metallic-lipstick-review/

Galactic is gorgeous! But it went patchy on me really quickly (hench no pictures.). I wonder if I layer it over a black pencil or matte lipstick it'll last longer? I will experiment and see! Grin

Lancome Idole today. Lovely coral colour, formula just ok, fairly drying and tends to slow up any lines or flaky bits on lips. I'm not sure I would buy another Lancome lipstick, I think they're very overpriced for the quality

ichifanny · 08/01/2019 11:07

Maybelline matte ink in heroine today the one that lasts forever

Lipstick Challenge January 2019.
Lottapianos · 08/01/2019 11:16

Amazing colour ichi, perfectly set off by your lightning bolt necklace Smile have read awful reviews about the formula- how do you find it?

Lucked · 08/01/2019 14:15

Guerlain 2018 Love collection in Coral with internet photo. Wore this quite a lot over last summer when I wasn’t wearing much makeup.

RiskIt4Biscuit · 08/01/2019 18:13

Today, I’m wearing Colourpop ultra satin lip in Magic Wand.
For some reason I rarely wear this one, but it is really nice.

It doesn’t set completely on the lips, so I find it easier to apply (I always have to use a brush) and it lasts quite well, but doesn’t dry out my lips either.

Greyhound22 · 08/01/2019 18:56

MAC Dressed to the K9s

Does anyone remember the dog limited editions? Random but I had to get one.

Any nice berry colours about? I used to love a berry coloured Revlon Lip Butter. Why on earth did they stop doing those? Is there anything similar about?

DerelictWreck · 08/01/2019 19:03

Right you useful lot - can I crash and ask for help?

I would love to wear lipstick but am convinced it makes me look ridiculous - like a painted child or something!

How one earth do you know what colour suits you or where to start?

Lottapianos · 08/01/2019 19:09

Hi Derelict! Coloured lipstick is a big shock for a few days if you're not used to it- I used to get a mild fright every time I looked in the mirror! You get used to it though. Or maybe you don't- some people much prefer pale or nude colours and that's totally fine

Tell us about your colouring and whether you prefer a matte, satin or gloss finish and we can give you some ideas

ichifanny · 08/01/2019 19:19

Lottapianos it can feel a bit strange almost sticky but doesn’t stick to anything as such , as long as you leave it alone and don’t try and put anything over it it stays nice .
