Mara yes he has a few things! Today we had a lunch meet with our NCT group and he wore an elf outfit, sooo cute Grin I wore velvet leggings and my sparkly gold Warehouse turtleneck, with red sock boots and a red bow in my hair. I've got my work do on Thursday and I'm going to wear the top again but with my faux leather leggings (from Mint Velvet, feels like the only thing I've bought and kept this season!)

We go away on Saturday and I feel so unprepared, despite having a huge list! Marsha I hope you are managing with all the packing. I can't believe it's your DD's first Christmas too, she must have been born very early in January. I'm so excited Grin

FedupNagging · 17/12/2018 07:49

That was the &OS top I saw in store but couldn't locate online-loved it but couldn't decide how to to style it but Shop sounds like you nailed it wish I'd bought it now

Dry the Reiss one shoulder dress you linked is stunning. How are you doing?

Mara lovely purchases especially the Ganni top.

Don't leave us hanging Blingy, what was the ootd that all the youngsters loved?

Think I'll wear the Boden red/gold Breton today layered over a thin silk polo neck jumper (which is about 15years old), with jeans (maison scotch) and M&S flatforms.

MarshaBradyo · 17/12/2018 07:52

Blair she was born NYE! Which is quite exciting, it took a few hours to pack which we did on Saturday as we left in the evening, I’d forgotten how long it takes

Mara I love those links, really spot on I think the colour will look fantastic with you hair and complexion

Shop the last week is always nuts, hope a rest is planned at the end

So we’re here in Thailand it’s amazing!! We’re at a wellness resort with yoga and great food. So good for my mind I can see myself planning to do this for many years. So good. Very plush, quite adult resort but luckily the beach is empty so the children can bolt around

MarshaBradyo · 17/12/2018 07:57

Mara Oh and yes dd has a travel wardrobe that puts mine in the shade somewhat, luckily she gets to wear it now as she’ll be too big soon!

FedupNagging · 17/12/2018 08:24

Marsha your holiday sounds so idyllic and the perfect antidote to the mad pre Christmas build up here.

I so do not miss having to attend endure 3 nativity plays/carol concerts/ parties etc etc. It seemed for every group or club the dc's attended there was at least 2 Christmas themed events in addition to school events .....

FedupNagging · 17/12/2018 08:26

Oh and before I get flamed for dissing the hardworking teachers/group leaders, I did help out loads and do my fair share of organising and baking Wink Grin

FedupNagging · 17/12/2018 08:32

I'll end on a high with some lovely evening bags

Fedup doing much better thanks. It’s been a tough week, I’m not good at sitting still .

Mara wonderful purchases, you’re all so good at the Outnet, I never see anything.....I don’t look often enough really.

I have quite a busy week of organising stuff....DD is 18 and we are out for a family dinner then she has a party at our house (“predrinks” Only before they all hit the town) I’m trying to find the happy medium of being a bit around but not an embarrassing mother. DS was happy for us to get stuck in (until it got messy) DD is more concerned about being embarrassed by her parents Sad.......I MUST be able to vwear heels by the end of the week.

Then we go away for Christmas the next morning.

justasecond · 17/12/2018 21:37

Love all the pretty links!
Those dresses are gorgeous Dry and Queenc can totally see you both looking amazing in those.

The sequin stories top is lovely shop and forgot to say how I loved the topshop one too. Wish I had somewhere to wear sequins!

Mara great purchases esp love the pink jumper. I like the sound of the ganni top with a polo neck. Speaking of, has anyone seen any skinny cotton polo necks anywhere? I got a really good one in Arket last year that has been worn to death and could do with a couple more.

Marsha hope you have a lovely time away!

We don't even celebrate Christmas and its a crazy busy time of year, makes me wonder how you all cope Smile

A quick question. I have found an almost identical version from a different french designer of my beloved but now old I bart leopard trainers. Should I get them or go for something different/more up to date? I often repeat buy the same thing in a different colour but these are almost the same as the original ones. Not sure which way to go trainer wise, I like the chunky look on others but not sure its for me...

DryWhiteagainW · 17/12/2018 21:53

Justa unsurprisingly I’m a repeat buyer...if something works I repeat buy until I’m sick of it, then I know it’s time to change. Because your trainers are still a brand that will feel special I say go with what you know.

Longislandicetee · 18/12/2018 17:25

This was the outfitGrin

FedupNagging · 18/12/2018 19:28

Blingy 😂😂😂

FedupNagging · 18/12/2018 19:44

Justa, I agree with Dry, if you love them & will wear them then buy again.

Whilst I know you don't celebrate Christmas, do you do any special on 25th Justa? How do your dc's feel about it watching everyone else celebrating? I guess they're a bit older now so can understand. In any event, you have your holy days which are a big deal too.

maradesbois · 18/12/2018 21:10

Blingy GrinGrinGrinXmas Shock

Marsha, major envy, looks and sounds wonderful where you are, enjoy every moment.

justa hmm, not sure, personally would go for a change but am not really a repeat buyer.

maradesbois · 18/12/2018 21:10

Am going to look for some ideas for you

Queenchanel · 18/12/2018 21:58

I did a wrapping marathon today but feel good that it’s done!
mara; it’s a bit weird working with younger people-they were all v glam on Saturday night-little dresses, lots of make up, heels etc. I just feel motherly towards them all.
dry I’m sure you’ll manage your heels as I can’t imagine you going out in flats!
justa I have no problem buying something v similar if it’s to replace something that’s worn out but you don’t sound too convinced. Maybe have a try on of some others. Or get both!!
blair so exciting having dc first Christmas
marsha sounds lush

So, what’s everyone wearing on Christmas Day? I’ve been saving the black selected femme dress I bought a while ago.

maradesbois · 18/12/2018 22:54

justa I found you some alternative trainers - you’re welcome

Dreamqueen · 18/12/2018 23:08

Blingy great outfit.

I'm on the plane on way home for Christmas and feeling sad and excited at the same time. I've had a great time away living 75% of the time in tropical pyjamas and the rest of the time dressed up to the nines. Not looking forward to being back in British winter.

DryWhiteagainW · 18/12/2018 23:18

QueenC live the annual “what are you wearing on Christmas Day” question on here.
Needless to say I know exactly what I’m wearing......a red jersey lonsleeved sift dress, black shoe boots, opaques and a statement necklace my outfit for Boxing Day is waaaaaay more exciting as it’s fancy dress beach party chez Dry......I’m expecting the hawaïan shirt, shorts, grass skirt look. My outfit is ready Xmas Grin

Everyonelovessparkles · 19/12/2018 09:06

Glad you had a nice holiday dream.

Shock those trainers mara.

I’m a repeat buyer too justa. If I find something I like that is a basic then I buy it in a couple of colours or even buy a second pair of shoes to put away for the following year. If you really like the trainers I’d just get another pair. Do they do the same one in a different design to make it feel a bit different.

Not sure what I’m wearing on Xmas day. We just have MIL and SIL coming - neither of whom dress up much and as I’m doing the cooking I don’t want to spoil anything particularly nice.

dry sounds like you’ve been busy. Those Reid’s dresses you linked were very nice. Boxing Day party sounds fab!

I had to take my rain dance ring back as the platinum band cracked Shock. It must have been where they resized it and so was a weak point. I saw Daniel and mentioned you blingy!

The DC finish on Friday. DS is very excited and is being a bit of handful. It’s so draining.

No fashion news. I’ve worn my new boots (both pairs) loads, they were good buys. Out tonight with a friend so just wearing my leather skirt and hush red leopard star jumper.

Queenchanel · 19/12/2018 12:43

I’ve just been reading the starting your wardrobe from scratch thread and it got me thinking...
If your house burnt down and all you’re clothes/shoes/bags were ruined what would be your priorities to replace.
Mine would be:
JEans-topshop and Levi
Navy sweatshirt
Navy blouse
Coss body bag
Trainers
Waterproof coat
Underwear obviously!

shopafrolic · 19/12/2018 13:34

My house did burn down. Can't recall what I started back with. I think it was underwear and work clothes.

When was that shop? Must have been awful

shopafrolic · 19/12/2018 15:58

When I was in my twenties Queen - guy in the flat downstairs set fire to his clothes drying them on a heater and the whole place went up. We lost everything (mainly smoke damage) but hideous.

shopafrolic · 19/12/2018 15:59
