Oops, hit post too soon.

How fab meeting CH Mara - glad she's as cool off duty as on.

Stokey i love your &OS coat;

I did a big Boden order but all is being returned except this red sparkle breton. I was most disappointed in these culottes in grey - even with petite they were just too long and baggy and would need a fair bit of alteration.

I also picked up a maroon boucle coatigan from a friends shop which I've been wearing a lot - not sure how long it will last but it's filled a gap.

After a heavy weekend last week and full on week away this week, we have a quiet weekend - bliss Smile

kittyhello · 10/11/2018 11:35

Love the cheetah Lola dress you linked Queen was out for dinner last night and I wore the giraffe one I have 3 of them and am up for a 4th.

Stokey great coat but sorry to hear about your over bearing boss.

Justa outfit sounded great the other day. Shop has Veja's and winter white boots although I'm not sure how much she wore them Grin

I've seen a leopard skirt that I want to buy but am holding off, it's currently in my basket.

Hope you're all having a great weekend. I'm currently on Saturday morning activities duties. Maybe a bike ride or long walk this afternoon if it stays dry.

MarshaBradyo · 10/11/2018 12:03

A quick one sorry will be back to catch up properly

But I’m looking at flights to Aus
Can I ask would you prefer to give a 1 year old their own seat in economy (as no way on lap whole way) or both sharing business class seat?
WWYD?

shopafrolic · 10/11/2018 12:44

I have Vejas. V uncomfortable and give me blisters but they look great. Glad you still love those boots Stokey.
Last few hours in Monaco. Will do a big debrief when home but it’s been fab.

Blair I reckon so - I’m going to wait for Black Friday and see if there are any discounts. That sweat sounds good

Fedup nice top

Stokey good buy with the coat

MarshaBradyo · 11/11/2018 08:04

Justa yes I think you could actually! You’d look great

MarshaBradyo · 11/11/2018 08:06

These Isabel Marant white ones look good and have 30% off

MarshaBradyo · 11/11/2018 15:42

Booked the flights, business
Going into hiding for a while
So much travel!! Shock (away at Christmas too)
Excited to my family and friends
Whoop!
Now I need a lie down.

Stokey · 11/11/2018 20:59

Good work Marsha, right decision, I think. Hopefully they'll give you bassinet. I took Dd1 to Oz when she was 6 months economy & it was fine.

I was tempted by some white boots in Stories the other day Justa, think they're this season's red. I do have some zebra ones which I like but don't think work with dresses which I suspect is to do with wearing tights. But if you're planning to wear on wearing with trousers, I'd say go for it.

shopafrolic · 12/11/2018 10:35

Morning all. I wear my white boots loads with jeans, really useful and always get positive comments on the school run.
I feel as though i’ve missed loads. Monaco was fab but my goodness it’s a whole different world there. Nothing is cheap. Brilliant for people watching.
I’ve learnt that the most casual of outfits can be made to look ££££ simply by adding a Chanel bag.
Lots of LV scarves, Chanel bags and Goyard luggage.
Car heaven - miniShop would have loved it. I spent a lot of time taking pics of the F1 track bends and tunnels for him. Bentleys were common as muck, and I saw my first ever 4x4 Rolls Royce - why? Confused
Thanks to Mara for the recommendations, I had a great time exploring while MrShop worked.
One corporate wife night out where €3,000 was spent by the group on booze - terrifying and it took me the whole of the next day to recover.
In the last night MrShop and I had drinks at the Hotel de Paris and then dinner at Nobu which was fabulous.
Lots of Russian ladies of the night hanging round all the conference delegates every evening - very short dresses, expensive handbags and lots of sparkle.
Also spotted lots of elderly men with their significantly younger partners - i’m sure it’s love Grin

Wow shop it sounds fabulous. DS already has an F1 onesie, can't wait to take him to a race!

Sounds like the right decision Marsha, you'll be more comfortable all round, especially if you can get a bassinet.

Fedup I love that glitter Breton, so festive!

QueenC wow at the bag subscription!

I'm at work today as you can see I'm easing myself back in gently, having a couple of KIT days this month as DH is still off work on Mondays. It's odd - feels like I haven't been away, but also quite nice and familiar, especially as I don't need to deal with any emails etc. Unfortunately there was a rain storm at lunch so I couldn't get to Mint Velvet to collect my leather leggings. Also I didn't know what to wear as most stuff still doesn't fit. I've realised I'm the same shape but 1-2 inches bigger all over. (Sadly not in height ofc, though I'm wearing heels today for the first time in 9 months!) In the end I am wearing a navy wrap midi skirt and a cream collared blouse that doesn't have buttons up the front to gape over my increased boobs. Hmm

Is the 1st Dec MU completely off in favour of a January one?

BlairWaldorfLovesShopping · 12/11/2018 14:42

I've just ordered the glitter Breton! Thanks Fedup Flowers

Crikey, that white car (RR 4x4?) is a monstrosity. Like the little red and white ones next to it though. Apologies to the petrol heads amongst us but I have little interest no idea what car is what!

Your trip sounds fab Shop - can't think of a better place to sit people watching; hope you feel like you had a break from everything.

Going from baby proof clothing to work outfits can be a bit of a challenge but yours sounded perfect Blair. Think I may wear the breton tomorrow - hope you like it too.

I tried the pleated skirt/jumper look in store the other day but not entirely convinced so didn't purchase. I am at my most dangerous atm as need want some new clothes but can't decide what Hmm so am in danger of just buying anything - talk me down....

shopafrolic · 12/11/2018 21:40

Fedup Shock The little red one is a Ferrari and the little white and black one is a Porsche.

MarshaBradyo · 13/11/2018 07:17

The white one is hilarious. Although probably not so hilarious for the environment ;

Blair amazing you’re back at work well done! Are you sharing leave with your dh? 1st Dec has been moved to next year which reminds me - dates

What do we prefer? How do people feel about March? If not, which is your preferred month

QueenCyan · 13/11/2018 08:10

Can’t believe you’re back at work already blair. Just check your shoulders every morning as after that goodbye hug you tend to get to work with milk/snot/weetabix on you without realising Grin
That car is a montrosity!!!
shop people watching sounds fab
marsha not sure about dates for next year. I’m already getting booked up for spring. Will text you.

QueenCyan · 13/11/2018 08:17

I’ve read this and I’m not sure what I was expecting but I’m a little bit disappointed. There’s nothing new in there really although some nice quotes. I like the fact it talks about sustainable fashion and it is a book to try and help you invest in the best you can afford but I struggle with the concept of investment pieces and loving/wearing something forever. Maybe I’m fickle but my tastes change. But not only that in tne last few years my body has changed-not overwhelmingly but subtle differences that means things that looked good no longer do and vice versa. Also, lifestyle changes. In 5 years I’ve gone from sahm to office workers to wearing a uniform and needing sensible cycle gear. Even if I followed a capsule wardrobe it would need to change regularly to reflect my life changes.
Anyway you can tell I’ve bern overthinking this Grin.
But if you know someone who could do with help choosing clothes based on their size/shape/colouring and developing a personal style then it is a good basic book. For us, I think we all know our style too well!

I've just ordered these boots to try having seen so many similar (but designer) versions in Monaco. Ideally I would want the front panel at the top not to be studded but these seem to be the closest I can find within budget......
