Is this ok for Black Tie?

Have an event coming up in December which is black tie , followed by a wedding in the same month. I have seen this dress online and quite like it, thinking to pair with midnight blue heels perhaps.
Thoughts?

I'm a size 8 and a B cup on a good day, and around 5"6. Thanks!

Do they have a fb page or inst tag you could see what everyone was wearing last year to see if it is really more formal?

That dress is fine op. Been to many black tie events and full length really is in the minority now. Knee length it totally fine when worn with a reasonable well covered chest and arms which that dress is. It's lovely.

Black tie is "cocktail dress" white tie is "ball gown". It's perfect, OP. Enjoy yourself.

I just googled long sleeve evening dress & this is the first that came up. Bargain too.

That's gorgeous!!! Stunning!

That is gorgeous. Don’t like the sizing though, I’m a 12/14.

pleasesleepinyourownbed · 03/10/2018 21:55

@ThroughThickAndThin01 I agree. I'm a size 8/10 so was in between sizes. If I hadn't found a dress I was going for 10/12 & maybe get it altered. Can't really complain at that price.
