I have a couple of the Boden relaxed v neck cashmere and really like them , I have always waited until one of their 30% off codes though!. also John Lewis is really nice and good value (but slightly more traditional in style.. )

I am not thinking of buying a Hush cashmere one at all .. Am silly but not £185 silly ..but id like a plain loose fit black cashmere jumper sometime this winter ..

I have filled another couple of bags for the charity shop and the textiles bank (its quite good to realise just how much is either too big or just not suitable for my less-working life as is to be ) .. Soy I have kept a couple of pairs of old jeggings But I promise you from now on they will only be for gardening and decorating!! GrinWink.

I still have two more cupboards (actually I've just realised its 3 counting downstairs coat one) and shoes to do.. but i am feeling very virtuous .. and I have been pretty ruthless as well but even so I will still have a lot left, and mostly Hush it seems

each I’m a curly so know all about how to tame frizz. Ditch the sulphates, silicone and alcohol in your hair products. Minimise shampooing with low sulphate shampoo to max once a week and co-wash with non silicone conditioners in between. Gel, mousses and curl creams to style. I love bucleme gel and curl cream for styling. Once you get your hair well hydrated the frizz doesn’t go away completely but it’s way more manageable and you get curl definition. I can go on and on but this is not the thread for it it’s called the curly hair method and last June I met Lorraine the book author and creator of a curly hair cutting technique which is just fabulous.
Lots of products in Boots are curly girl friendly so you don’t need to spend a fortune. You can see my hair here before and after a curly haircut and the difference is amazing. There’s a FB curlies page and also the British curlies website for lots of useful info.
Really hope this helps. I still get days where I resemble the wicked witch from the east with my frizz but I know how to get it under control fast now

Yes the first pic was after a curly hair cut and the second before I had it cut

SoyYo · 19/08/2018 20:19

laska Grin

I like Uniglo, have one of their downy jackets which packs away neatly in a tiny bag, also like their heatech long sleeved vests in winter and some of the Ines de la Fressange trousers range, their designer collaborations are good. I still have a nice top and some scarves from their collaboration with Orla Kiely and we’re bargainous and DH had a wool jumper from their men’s range but that got holes after one winters’ wear.

EachandEveryone · 19/08/2018 20:39

Your hair is amazing! Mine is much finer as you can see here. I spend a lot on the cut and colour but I always run a mile when they try and flog me stuff.

I buy the uniqlo jackets in men’s sizes. I love their thermals.

EachandEveryone · 19/08/2018 20:40

Sorry frizzy hair pic. I know it’s a Hush thread but I feel like we know each other now!Smile

Thank you each these conditioners and shampoos are all curly girl friendly. So is Pantene curly hair mousse no 5 and Umberto Giannini curl gel. You can buy at Superdrug/Boots. Or go for the more expensive but fabulous Bucleme range, it smells amazing. Honestly try and minimise shampooing even if you don’t go the whole curly girl method way and condition wash in between with any of attached non silicone conditioners to minimise product build up. You need hydration to get rid of frizz.

Ella Woolovers are great .. I'm going to look there

soy your hair looks fab .. Sadly as a Trichy i'd really struggle with it , but v, short /white blonde I can do ! I had mine cut this week again.. its about 1in on top right now and even shorter at the sides ( Aaah lovely.. thats as long as I want it. ) ..Luckily everyone knows what I am like and Dh thinks its great like that )

SoyYo · 19/08/2018 20:54

Honestly I get like you too! I have semi perm colour in mine but I’m thinking of stopping as even low ammonia colour ruins and makes it sooo dry. You’ve got lovely curls under the frizz I promise you Smile

You know what ? This is nice.. sort of subtle dont you think ?

SoyYo · 19/08/2018 21:11

Thank you laska and I love your short white blonde styling.
I’ve always had a love/hate thing with my curls and as a teen really hated it, had it chemically straightened even but in the end made my peace with it and learnt how to take care of it.

SoyYo · 19/08/2018 21:17

Yes that’s a lovely necklace, hadn’t noticed it before. Is sun stone a crystal or semi precious stone? off to google

Laska5772 · 19/08/2018 21:22

Ok I've gone mad again.. JL had the sale price Hush boat neck cashmere in stock .. I've sized up to L and given it a go.. Will be arriving in my local Waitrose on Tuesday ..

SoyYo · 19/08/2018 21:29

laska Grin a Hush girl if there ever was one! Great buy!
Right googled sunstone (I’m a little into crystals) and if the Hush pendant is truly sandstone I might get it, we can all do with warding off negativity and doing stylish at the same time!

Laska5772 · 19/08/2018 21:30

No Idea soy but i think ill give it a go..

Laska5772 · 19/08/2018 21:34

I think its a ' blue goldstone' - looks like one anyway ..Here is what i found.sounds like a 'thing' we need anyway!

Blue Goldstone is a man-made stone. Its sparkle comes from flecks of copper. In crystal healing it is said to be the stone of confidence and ambition, encouraging motivation and drive. It has a positive attitude; it is an uplifting stone. Goldstone is said to promotes vitality.

SoyYo · 19/08/2018 21:37

👍👍👍 oh well it’s a must then! Grin
as if we needed more enabling

Laska5772 · 19/08/2018 21:39

Laska5772 · 19/08/2018 21:41

(Dontcallmelen ought to anyway..)

zippyswife · 19/08/2018 22:13

ella what’s the length like on the M&S leopard print legging dupes? I’m 5”8 with pretty long legs but don’t want them too long- torn between ordering the regular or long?

Ellapaella · 19/08/2018 22:24

@zippyswife I'm 5'7 and the regular are plenty long enough. They are right down to my lower ankle. You'd probably be okay with a regular I think.

zippyswife · 19/08/2018 22:47

Great ella. Thank you!

MerryDeath · 19/08/2018 22:59

really needed to come here to moan about the sideways scrolling hush have introduced. whose bright idea was that thenHmm

also i want the red hoody but it is presumably the same horrid material as their usual dolman which was bobbly after just a couple of washes. it's a casual sweater and you are charging £50 it's not hard to get sweater material that's not so unpleasant.

thirdly (oh dear) i really really need the super long cashmere charcoal scarf they had still in stock at the end of A/W 17 and it has not come back with their new season?! hush⁉️ please explain⁉️

neveradullmoment99 · 20/08/2018 00:12

@merry not sure about what you mean about sideways scrolling? Do you mean the model shots to the left? I dont have a problem with that or maybe the issue is on a mobile? Cant comment about sweat. I havent got the dolman. There is a cashmere scarf on the hush website but others have said its thinner than last years. Ivwould like hush friends back! Thats my gripe!
