Hello everyone,

Hope you're enjoying/surviving this glorious/boiling weather (delete as appropriate).

Some of you may already receive our weekly Swears By newsletter, which is a round-up of products that Mumsnetters have been recommending to each other, but we thought we'd also collate them here.

You can take a look at last month's Swears By thread here.

If you want to be first to know about the next cult product, you can sign up to the newsletter here and you can also check out the Swears By page here.

Mumsnet Swears By is free and independent from advertising but if you buy something through our posts, we may get a small share of the sale. You can find out more here.

But anyway - here’s what MNers have been swearing by this month (they have a distinct heatwave theme):

Papaval Harem Jumpsuit, £13.49

MNers love these comfy jumpsuits so much they're willing to risk resembling gliding rodents - if that's not an endorsement, we don't know what is

"I bought six of these. I may never wear anything else - ever." exWifebeginsat40

"They are fab, really pleased with them. I bought this navy blue one and the black and white spotty one. Wearing the blue one now, it's soooooo comfy." Iamblossom

"I look a bit like a flying squirrel in it but I do love it!" MyRelationshipIsWeird

"Amazed at how lovely the fabric feels." asilikeit

Navy New Balance Trainers, £59.99

We spend a lot of time talking about the perfect white trainers - but what if white isn't your colour?

"I have these and love them, they're really comfortable and go with everything." VetOnCall

Hi again everyone - here's the last of the July recommendations.

NYX Makeup Setting Spray, £7

In this heat, you couldn't be blamed for giving up on make-up altogether - but for the days and events where you just can't go without, MNers have been swearing by this setting spray to keep their freshly made-up faces intact

“I use the NYX Dewy Finish one. It’s quite cheap but it definitely has kept my make-up in place this summer (in fact colleagues have commented how I always look cool when they’re all sweaty)” Pinkvici22

“I second the NYX setting spray - I always have a fan (aka folded up Lidl leaflet) to have a good old waft to help it dry quicker. I am peri-menopausal and hot flushing for England as well as coping with the heat so I'm using anything and everything to stop my makeup sliding off my face.” JeSuisPrest

Also available in a matte finish if you're prone to a bit of shine.

Boden Positano Bikini, now from £12.50 (was £25)

Feel great on the beach this summer with this summery bikini from Boden

“I’d never worn a bikini in my life until this year - I’ve figured it’s now or never and am loving my bikini. It's the Positano bikini from Boden, navy with a bright pink halter. All very tame but I feel great!” BoogleMcGroogle

If you're not quite ready to bare all, there are lovely matching swimming cozzies and tankinis too

Next Two Band Sandals, £22

Have MNers found the answer to the age-old tan sandal crisis?

“I have these - they are leather, come in wide fitting, are comfy to wear all day, and cheap as chips!!” bluebeck

Available in a few colours, including black and glamorous gold.

Tesco Essentials Glossing Hair Serum, £1

Our hair needs all the help it can get in this heat - and you can even add this to your weekly shopping basket

“Tesco one, red bottle, £1. Best I've used. I wouldn't say it 'tames' my frizz (a big ask) but it does make a difference.” HarrietKettleWasHere

“Agree with the Tesco one, as good as any ££ ones I've used.” LuxuryWoman2017

M&S Geometrical Print Tapered Trousers, £22.50

Comfy, cool...basically pyjamas you can wear outside - what more could you want?

“These trousers from M&S are lovely OP. They do them in blue, black and like a khaki colour. So incredibly comfortable, and a variety of leg lengths. I am 5 foot 1 and I bought them in a short. I wear them with plain T-shirts the same colour as the trousers and sandals.” WellTidy

Curvy Kate High Waist Bikini Bottoms, now £11

The perfect fit to keep everything tucked in and secure

“I just got the Navy Jetty high-waisted bikini for £30 from Curvy Kate and it’s amazing. I don’t feel brave - there is an inch or two of skin showing at my narrowest point (I have a high waist) so it makes me look more shapely and hourglass than a one piece/swim dress or tankini.” CaptainBrickbeard

HannahGMumsnet · 30/07/2018 17:40

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Body Gel Cream, now £3.99 (was £5.99)

For the days you just want to lather yourself in a cooling moisturiser

“I'm using a new Neutrogena lotion atm, Hydroboost Gel, absolutely love it. Very moisturising and non sticky, not particularly scented, the gel consistency is great in this hot weather.” PickledHoneybuzzard
