I really like this handbag. I've had my eye on it for around 2 years. Could you talk me out of buying it please? (I recently bought a leather satchel and need to stop!):

I think you might need that bag. What if someone awful buys it and doesn't treat it well.

I have a bag with both handles and a long strap and it's brilliant. I would highly recommend it.

Can you afford it? What will you have to 'give up' in order to have it?
Does it fit with your lifestyle?
Is the quality reasonable for the price?

I think bags with both short straps and long straps on show look awful. It should be one or the other imo though presumably the long strap is detachable. I’m a shoulder bag devoutee so hand held bags incl this one aren’t for me.

Well nothing exciting about it but for £134 it is a bargain.

Googled it to be nosy; so it’s 300 USD. It is a classic style, but I wouldn’t want the strap and the handles

If I want to talk myself out of buying anything, I ask myself what will happen if I don't buy it. Usually the answer is "nothing". Somehow that takes away the "need".

a load of tatty trims and handles adding extra weight. looks a real chunk even empty. does it hold more than a pound coin and a tampon?
