Talk me out of buying this handbag please ...

Hi,

I really like this handbag. I've had my eye on it for around 2 years. Could you talk me out of buying it please? (I recently bought a leather satchel and need to stop!):

It looks lovely but the handles wouldn't work for me, I prefer a bag to be one or the other.

Have you seen it in real life and do you know the style would work for you before splashing out? Is it big enough for a nappy bag? I remember treating myself to a pink lining changing bag after wanting one for ages and being disappointed when it arrived, the size and shape and colour was all wrong, I was gutted.

Nappy bag? Do you know how many nappies you get through in a day with a new born? Then there's wipes, bum cream, nappy bags and a whole pad of other crap. Get a wheelie shopper and the Kate spade

I wouldn`t use it for nappies. I came to loathe my nappy bags, could not wait to be free of them.

I don't think you'll want it as a nappy bag, trust me!

All this angst. If you like it (yes) and you can afford it (yes) then why the hell not.

Buy it. It will sell out and you'll go to moon over it as usual and your heart will sink. How often do you find something you really want? Enough to lust after it for 2 years! Get it, use it and love it. Life is stupid and short.

Also, not wanting to make you panic but often when stuff gets linked to in here it sells out fairly quickly.

Ahhhh I'm too late to tell you that it's one of the most meh bags I've ever seen. Kate Spade do such beautiful styles and colours. It's summer! Embrace non black bags! Black bags just make me think of boring middle aged ladies who have lost their way. Send it back and buy similar in a more happy colour!

I'm toying with the coral pink/red in the same style (to wear with monochrome, I like the flash of red shoes of bag ). Also the pale blue. Also the cream.

@LadyOfTheCanyon Yeah I'm normally not a black handbag person, I have to remind myself to step away from the flamingos because I just can't pull them off, but I bought a classic black one to go with a black coat and it's actually really chic for work and with jeans and a white top in the summer too. Also doesn't get messy when I travel.

I think what you mean is not "send it back" but "buy more":)

It’s the Kate spade Cameron street Lottie, and very lovely it is too.

My seraphIna (?) leather hand bag is totally misshapen from use after 2 years - they're a lot of upkeep
