I really like this handbag. I've had my eye on it for around 2 years. Could you talk me out of buying it please? (I recently bought a leather satchel and need to stop!):

@welshmist I deliberately omitted the price and that it was in sale, so as not to introduce any bias in your responses ...

I like the brand (bag is not so much my style), but I'm a bit uncomfortable with buying things in the dramatic sale at the moment, given the circumstances.....

Is that why there is suddenly a crazy sale or is it coincidence? It seemed in bad taste to be getting sale emails the day after.

You recently bought a very nice leather satchel and need to stop!!!

I have it in ivory (gift from DH) and he paid a lot more than that for it from the outlet at Bicester! Lovely bag, very well made and still looks like new 8 months later.

@LuMarie They have a discount code that annoyingly isn't working, which is meant to give another 30% off. Hoping they will get back to me tomorrow to fix the bug.

To be more unhelpful, I see the iPhone cases are in the sale too. I paid around £60 for one of the glitter styles in the States, they look really good. Not that I'm encouraging you. Oh my god there are chargers with sparkles too! Where are the flamingos, there are no flamingos in my world. Yet.

Can I ask where you got a code from? I've not been opening the emails I get from the brand recently as, well, look what happens. So I may have missed it.

That bag is screaming fill me with nappies. I can hear it from here.

LuMarie I have seen phone cases in TK Maxx, worth a look.
I bought my Kate Spade bag over two years ago from Biscester Village and don't regret it one bit. Worn lots for work and still looks brand new.

@LuMarie oh dear you are in real trouble if you've reached the full price section. I really really like the Candace satchel but that never goes on sale (it's their signature style)

I agree with special subject. Just ditch the idea.

1. it is 30% off (or more) but it is 70% ON

2. it will end up at the bottom of your cupboard in about 2 months.

3. yeah, can you afford it or can you save for another month of paying the mortgage?

4. now to the real stuff - why do you REALLY want to buy another bag yet again? What are you trying to replace with this one? you will keep buying bags and wasting money if you do not figure out.

5. finally, it really looks boring and does it really go with you? you seem quite fun!

My policy is if you like a thing, don't buy it. Save it, look at it a year later, and if you still want it you actually want it and it won't go to the back of the cupboard.

Not sure about that satchel you bought, but you really want this bag...

I normally hate handbags and I like this one, so it must have something going...

This is what I needed to be told - thank you! Off to bed now, and haven't purchased it yet. What I really need is a small cross body bag that I will use every day.

I love Kate spade bags. Bought two on a recent US trip.... and a pair of shoes 🙈
