Honestly, am I too old for this?

Spotted this in my local RI, but will have to order online as couldn't get my size in store (hence no photo of me actually wearing it) BUT, am I told old at 38 for a leopard print playsuit? Am I venturing into mutton territory?

I'm 5' 3" and a size 6-8. Small boobs and my legs are my best feature.

I'd wear it casually with black tights and black ankle chunky heel boots, or if I was wearing it as a 'going out' outfit, with black heels and tanned legs.

I don't think it's an aversion to olaysuits, it's an aversion to all over leopard print cheap play suits,

neveradullmoment99 · 17/06/2018 18:41

Well I think its all in the way you wear it. I am sure you could make it look pretty good with a pair of tan flat sandals and a nice slightly shaped caramel coloured cardi and a small black bag. I don't think that would look tacky at all.

Tights and boots are a bit try hard. That's the thing that will make you look mutton.

Just wear it as a summer casual or holiday thing and it will be fine.

stopfuckingshoutingatme · 17/06/2018 19:35

Go for it !

GeorgeTheHippo · 17/06/2018 19:38

Chunky boots maybe. Heels, God no! 😄

Bettyfood · 18/06/2018 06:00

i Tights and boots are "try hard"

I've heard everything now. Confused

It makes me feel hot to think of tights and boots in June but I wear them constantly throughout autumn and winter.

fishonabicycle · 18/06/2018 08:22

If it makes you feel good - wear it. Don't listen to the purse lipped joy suckers. Clothes should be about making you feel happy 😘.

FishFingerInjury · 18/06/2018 08:48

Not too old, my only concern (for me) would be that it was too short (not age related, wobbly thigh tops related) but i think it would look great on someone your height and size.

LemonysSnicket · 18/06/2018 08:54

I don't like leopard print so would wear it at any age, but, for leopard print, it's quite nice and smart x

Bluntness100 · 18/06/2018 09:07

Yes I don't like leopard print either, which could be driving my thoughts as well, hence why I think it's not the play suit as such. It's the play suit in leopard print.

I just find it unbelievably tacky,
