Cheers Pug 😊 the green skirt styling came about from ella who said she saw someone wearing it with white t and denim jacket and it really does work!
I recommend the maxi in black too, I just threw it on and aside the 🕶, didn’t bother styling it but it could be glammed up easily and really great on hols or home, day or eve. Super comfortable fabric I just hope it washes well! We all know how unpredictable Hush can be on that front and I know there’s plenty of cheaper maxi t shirt dresses in the High St but I think the cut and fabric on this one makes it worth the price.

nearly how nice you actually got stopped by stranger! Jeans must look fabulous on you

Laska5772 · 08/06/2018 20:51

love those Woodstocks on you neverand the skirt.

soy the black maxis does look good, and i love the Santana on you with the denim jacket.. the black skirt looks fine, I loved the bag but decided not to I have seen lots of other nice ones in JL and elsewhere.
I also particularly like this round straw cross body bag I saw today cherries maybe you would like it? its not quite so bright as looks on the picture

neveradullmoment99 · 08/06/2018 21:01

Thanks Laska
Did you get that lovely maxi?

I'm not sure about that SoyYo but I'll take it as a compliment. The girl ( probably 30's) said they were looked fab and a bit quirky, and she liked that.

Laska5772 · 08/06/2018 21:17

so the Hush stuff.I would never have ordered the Bay dress because of the spaghetti straps which are hard if you have boobs like my 36Es. but it was so nice, and also though the pic doesn't do it justice as my bra wasn't doing much in the hold up area (due to me pushing down the straps). I think with the right bra it will look good. I have a couple with clear straps .
Anyway I've got it now! there was only that one - I'm sure a return and as soon as i saw it i knew i wouldn't be leaving without it .

Of the new collection they had the Starry eyes T! Dh said 'what the heck...'?Grin
Both Greenwich tops (which I thought were a lot like more expensive Monsoon as we said). all the Grecian tops. the Tile blue fringed mini, the white Kempton lace skirt, Embroidered playsuit and the Carla and goa dresses. They also had one butterfly marina skirt which i reckon was a return. I cat think of any more right now but the rest that was there i think i had already seen.. Looking at yours soy they my have had that black maxi there was a lot of black but they definitely didn't have the black/gold skirt because i looked for that. sadly none of the orange ombre which is what I wanted to see
.
Anyway the only other thing than the dress I tried on was a coral T with lots of small gold stars but wasnt keen.

Laska5772 · 08/06/2018 21:17

I bought it never! Grin

neveradullmoment99 · 08/06/2018 21:21

You did the right thing. Its gorgeous and perfect for your holiday. Would you get away with bra straps? I mean non clear ones?

neveradullmoment99 · 08/06/2018 21:24

I love the geo white and had my eye on it ages ago. I had no idea that it had sold out. Not surprising really. I don't think I would buy the blue but its lovely also and in reality for me more practical. I tend not to wear much white here in Scotland on account it Is mostly dull and grey and for fear of standing out too much!

OP posts:
neveradullmoment99 · 08/06/2018 21:26

Its also a good price. Would you say to size down to a 10?[Incase it comes back in!!!]

OP posts:
Laska5772 · 08/06/2018 21:34

oh I've just seen.. JL have the Bay tile dress (not the blue) online if anyone interested .Maybe a new lot has come in and mine wasn't a return.
If yo want one and are busty size up. I have the 14 and dont reckon id get my 36es in the 12 in this dress.
Hush still show it as Oos though

Laska5772 · 08/06/2018 21:37

I dont think I would never I have to wear the proverbial Overtheshoulderboulderholders! (thick straps) Grin

SoyYo · 08/06/2018 21:39

laska thanks for the kind comment sounds like you had a great day trying on things for your hols and beautiful dress! It’ll be perfect for Greece when you don’t want to be incognito with the Alanis black dress Grin seriously lovely. I tend to wear strapless bra (34FF) with spaghetti straps and it’s fine, but imagine not as comfortable as transparent straps...I’ve never been able to find a comfortable bra with transparent straps though 🤔 I did get myself fitted properly in a shop for the only proper strapless bra I own (Jarrolds in Norwich, old fashioned family owned store) so I think that makes a difference too.
Btw I just popped in to thank you very much for the diet links, quite an eye opener (and yes I’ve been good so far and think I’m in the right head space to continue).

never you’re in Scotland! Somehow that didn’t register before, DH is Scottish which explains my use of some Scottish words like wee bit which is quite strange for a non native English speaker...in case you were wondering Wink

neveradullmoment99 · 08/06/2018 21:46

That's strange because I do notice even through typing on here the Scottish words !!!! I stay just outside Glasgow and the weather has been absolutely outstanding for weeks now. Its unheard of to wear shorts so much here!!! Its meant to go a bit pear shaped next week :(
Shame as I want to wear my summer hush purchases as much as I can!

OP posts:
SoyYo · 08/06/2018 21:58

Yes you’ve been getting great weather up there, and the midges haven’t hatched yet Smile it always seems that spring is best in beautiful Scotland, long may it continue!
My “outlaws” (bless them, only dear FIL and DH siblings around now near Perth) tried to persuade when DS were little to move up, but I struggle with winters in East Anglia (which is the driest part of UK) and I’ll never forget all those freezing Christmasses, as much as I adore the landscape and the people I know the cold/greyness would do me in. I suffer in the winter here even after 30 odd years and made DH promise as soon as we stop work we’ll never spend a winter again in UK...spring/summer however are glorious and right now my garden is bursting with roses and honeysuckle and lusciousness.
He adores his homeland and I totally get why ❤️

SoyYo · 08/06/2018 22:09

Just so you know what a wuss I am with the cold central heating is on right now, and I’m wearing 2 layers topped up with a woollen shawl! It’s 13C this eve which in my head is winter temperature! 🤣
I derail the Hush talk but I used to really amuse other local mothers when DS were small! They always used to tell me I was dressing them way too warm. I relaxed once they were past babyhood and realised they wouldn’t die of pneumonia if they weren’t wearing multiple Woolly layers 😂

neveradullmoment99 · 08/06/2018 22:22

Well its understandable. You have come from a lovely sunny and warm country. Going through the menopause, I have my own central heating ha ha!!! Scotland is beautiful and I am very fortunate to live in a lovely place that is close to the countryside but still has enough life around it. [and of course Royal Mail lol..]

Laska I am so tempted by the dress but tbh im not sure I would wear it here so is it a bit stupid to buy it just for a holiday? I think I might feel a little overdressed in it here. Or maybe I could tone it down with a little cardi? I do absolutely love it.

OP posts:
neveradullmoment99 · 08/06/2018 22:23

I would probably get way more use out of the Grecian top in the similar print but then there is the bra issue.

OP posts:
neveradullmoment99 · 08/06/2018 22:25

Is it too white?

OP posts:
ilovecherries · 08/06/2018 22:31

You’ve all been busy. I’m knackered as after Manchester travelled home to Scotland for the weekend. So nice to be in our own house rather than the temporary rental complete with corporate furniture. Not doing anything exciting unfortunately - dental check ups for both of us, dog’s booster shots, cut the grass etc - although a decent ‘Scottish’ Curry def on the cards for tomorrow night. Off to have a shower and bed and will catch up properly tomorrow.

Whitesea · 09/06/2018 01:21

Has anybody tried the twist back dress? It looks nice?

Laska5772 · 09/06/2018 06:20

Never tbh I think it isreally just a holiday dress . We are lucky though living on a 'holiday island' and so (British weather permitting!) o in summer evenings out and weekends at beach or local places I can get away with it.
I dont think it is too white (and im pale) because of the large print design. Im also a fake tan on legs girl!

Laska5772 · 09/06/2018 06:23

I couldnt wear the greek tops for same reason also the gathered style aflares out over boobs and makes me look twice as big. The Bay doesnt because is nor gathered

Laska5772 · 09/06/2018 06:24

..
Doesnt so much that is....
Wink

mrtumblesmum · 09/06/2018 07:16

mrtumblesmum · 09/06/2018 07:17
