Ellapaella - thanks. The sandals are ancient crocs that are having a revival.

neveradullmoment99 · 24/06/2018 21:09

@Olaf I love that little shortsuit on you. [Despise the word playsuit]

I don't think you look 'chunky' in it at all.

I tried that blinking leopard print maxi on in John Lewis they had loads in at the time

redtulip12 · 24/06/2018 21:54

@OlafLovesAnna you look great in the play suit. Definitely not chunky!

GinandGingerBeer · 24/06/2018 22:12

I ordered the leopard print maxi ages ago on pre order after it initially went OOS but it hasn't arrived. Can't remember how long the wait was. Still waiting for my Woodstock sandals too.

ilovecherries · 24/06/2018 22:13

I think it’s about another three weeks, Gin, I have it on back order as well.

GinandGingerBeer · 24/06/2018 22:17

I think they'll need an iron too @Maplessglobe
Maybe something jersey might be better?
My top tip though is to blast with a hairdryer Grin works quite well on certain material.
With 4 kids. I'm surprised you get dressed at all!

GinandGingerBeer · 24/06/2018 22:18

Bugger @ilovecherries I go on holiday with the girls in two weeks and wanted it for then. I might email them.

neveradullmoment99 · 24/06/2018 22:24

To avoid ironing I do the following things:
Put in the tumble dryer - but not hush things.
Put on a radiator - seems to take the creases out.
Obviously not great for in the summer.

Thanks SoyYo I've just ordered the denim jacket - looks exactly like what I'm after!

miffy2 · 24/06/2018 23:01

I am kicking myself for cancelling my first order of the leopard maxi in a panic...then had to re-order and will be waiting till mid-July I reckon. Don't know why I cancelled as I, like many of you, order frequently and then return what I don't like. Oh well, at least my goal can be to look as fab as I can by the time it arrives :)

Good thing about scrubs though is they don't need an iron...Grin
Maybe it's a look that could catch on 😉

Whitesea · 25/06/2018 09:56

I liked the leopard maxi too but was turned off by another thread in Style and Besuty where someone asked if they should wear leopard print to Ascot. There was a resounding no. Not that I was going to wear it to Ascit. Not that I was going to Ascot. Not that I have ever even been to Asvot!

neveradullmoment99 · 25/06/2018 09:57

Why should that put you off?

Laska5772 · 25/06/2018 09:58

...Im not sure why my leopard maxi didnt make it to the final selection for my holiday bag ... Am sort of regretting that now.. Weather is much nicer today ! Making most of sunlounger as we still expecting thunder tomorrow..

Laska5772 · 25/06/2018 10:00

Nothing wrong with a bit of leopard IMHO...
( says the bleach-blonde 60 yr old !! Grin)

neveradullmoment99 · 25/06/2018 10:00

I can understand a tight leopard print dress being cheap and nasty but surely its more to do wirh the cut of things rather than the print?

That whole anti-leopard thing bores me. People are so predictable in their responses to it. Bet Lynch wasn’t Bet Lynch because she had a penchant for leopard, it was the entire package - hair, earrings, skirt length, cleavage, make up, eyelashes - that was put together to make her the stereotype of ‘tough barmaid with a heart of gold’. Would I wear a leopard wiggle dress at 60? Probably not (but that’s because I wouldn’t do a wiggle dress). But would I wear a pair of leopard trainers (tick), leopard utility jacket (tick), loose leopard tee (tick), flowing leopard maxi skirt (soon to be ticked). I wouldn’t wear them all together, but then I wouldn’t wear the same pattern of anything - florals/stripes/abstracts at the same time, because it would all clash and I like a more understated look. Half the time I love S&B, especially when you get fantastic long running threads like this one, the rest of the time I find that it’s restrictive, controlling and tries to make women fit into a set of acceptable rules. The patriarchy is alive and well here. :(.

neveradullmoment99 · 25/06/2018 10:19

Totally agree cherries. Its narrow minded nonsense.

Arrived today from JL. What do you think? Do I look a tad rectangular? (They May be the comfiest dresses I have ever worn). The haze one is a medium, grey one a small and navy one a 12 (not Hush).

No, you look fantastic in all three :) Not square at all!!!

I actually do like them all but my favourite on you is the Haze print.
