I think I expected it to be longer?

It’s a gorgeous colour and you suit everything I’ve seen you in. Having said that, I think it looks a bit big on the bust, and not really worth the money if you have any doubts about it.

DavetheCat2001 · 14/06/2018 12:06

I read a review and someone was moaning about the length.

Not sure its worth the money either.. might iron it later and try it again.

It is comfy to wear though!

neveradullmoment99 · 14/06/2018 12:06

I thought it looked big on the bust as well.

What size is it Dave?
It looks lovely on you as you have a great figure. It is quite plain but sometimes that's the beauty of a garment, a stunning colour with simple lines.
I would personally keep that dress - but for me it would be something to wear out in the evening (think hot holiday evenings sitting in a bar sipping cocktails) with delicate silver sandals and a silver pendant and silver earrings.
Could you post another pic after you've ironed? I'm wondering if you could size down actually.

Ellapaella · 14/06/2018 12:08

It looks a lot longer in the sideways picture!

neveradullmoment99 · 14/06/2018 12:08

It looks very comfy! But honestly? I saw a lovely leopard print sundress in Tesco. It was really pretty and although I didn't look at the price, no way was it £69!

Thanks cherries. I am tiny up top ( 34A from last being measured!), which has its benefits in that I do go bra-less oftern, but other clothes just hang off me and look crap!

DavetheCat2001 · 14/06/2018 12:09

It's an 8 ella. Honestly their sizing is nuts!

I was thinking of it for our holiday to Menorca in August.. it is expensive though isn't it?

neveradullmoment99 · 14/06/2018 12:10

Have you done the mumsnet way of measuring? There is no way you are a 34!

OP posts:
neveradullmoment99 · 14/06/2018 12:12

I reckon you will be around a 28! with a larger cup size.
It will be lovely on holiday but the price is ridiculous really.

What's the MN method of measuring??

I had myself measured a few years back as my boobs expanded rapidly when I had my kids, and then shrunk back to virtually nothing!

I have lost about a stone and a half over the past couple of tears too, and it definitely comes straight iff my bust!

DavetheCat2001 · 14/06/2018 12:13

The patterned one looked so lovely in Laska!

neveradullmoment99 · 14/06/2018 12:13

Dave - try this:

www.mumsnet.com/style-and-beauty/bra-guide

Sounds like you are measuring the old way.

OP posts:
neveradullmoment99 · 14/06/2018 12:15

I was so uncomfortable in my bra and really couldn't work out my size. I came on mumsnet and found that the way I was measuring myself was outdated and none of my bras were right. Bravissimo measure this way.

OP posts:
neveradullmoment99 · 14/06/2018 12:16

M&S measure you wrongly using the old system [according to mumsnet gurus of bra measuring - er not me!!!]

OP posts:
neveradullmoment99 · 14/06/2018 12:16

You get the proper support of your bra fitting better with this method - seemingly. But honestly, I am a 32E or F and tbh my bra fits me way better this way.

OP posts:
neveradullmoment99 · 14/06/2018 12:18

In the old way I was coming up a 34 or 36 A or B putting most of the pressure of the bra on the straps instead of the band size.

OP posts:
neveradullmoment99 · 14/06/2018 12:19

..and the cup size never seemed right.

OP posts:
DavetheCat2001 · 14/06/2018 12:19

Thanks never. I'll have a look in a bit.. in the middle of a ton of work at the moment! Maybe I am a smaller bra size... hardly worth wearing one!

ilovecherries · 14/06/2018 12:22

Yes, M&S tried to put my DD in a 34A. She’s a size 8. I packed her off to Bravissimo and she came out wearing a 30E - and looked amazing in it.

neveradullmoment99 · 14/06/2018 12:23

No, you will be a smaller back size - like a 28 C or something like that. Your cup size will increase :)

OP posts:
Ellapaella · 14/06/2018 12:26

I've seen that leopard print sundress in Tesco too! It's very nice. Dave I think it comes down to how much wear you will get out of it. If you'll only wear it a few times and don't absolutely love it send it back. I'd try a 6 though to see if it hangs better.

neveradullmoment99 · 14/06/2018 12:27

The problem is that most manufacturers of bras do it the old way which means it is harder to find a bra in that size. I cannot just walk into a supermarket and buy one in a 32E as most don't stock a 32 in such a large cup :( Its annoying! I need to order mine online.

OP posts:
neveradullmoment99 · 14/06/2018 12:28

Ha ha Ella that's so funny. I really am considering getting it. It isn't online though or I just cant see it on the f&f website.
