Well i love it dave but it will be mainly for hot holiday wear unless we get a rrally scorchio summer!
Re T shirts in sale.. no idea! But i expect so ..

Laska5772 · 13/06/2018 13:22

Im hoping that the green heart sweat is i as i drooped silver dip on mine and the star jeans (doubt that though!)

DavetheCat2001 · 13/06/2018 13:44

I imagine it would look nice with a denim jacket over the top too.

Nini dress was returned today!

Laska5772 · 13/06/2018 14:03

I have ordered the plain yellow slub T as i needed to make up a JL order for free dellivery. However fully expect to send it back..Grin

Laska5772 · 13/06/2018 14:04

JL order for non- hush stuff

ShmooBooMoo · 13/06/2018 14:35

Laska that's weird...I went to the Hush site and can't see any sale references Confused Maybe they've removed them... Wondering if they will go into sale earlier than last year....

Laska5772 · 13/06/2018 15:08

shoo theyve gone! I must have caught the website techs at work this morning !

ShmooBooMoo · 13/06/2018 15:24

They must've noticed you were on to them Wink
I imagine it means the sale can't be too far off. I notice some other brands have started their sales already so maybe Hush have decided to go into sale earlier this year so as not to lose out?

ilovecherries · 13/06/2018 15:54

Right, I need to sort my sizing out. My daughter has been saying to me for a few weeks that she thinks I’m buying my clothes too big. My boobs have always bumped my top size up a bit, and I rarely buy anything non stretchy for that reason. However, after the discussion yesterday about those jeans I’m wondering if I am getting it wrong on my bottom half. What are you all wearing in Harems and Amies? I’m wearing a medium in both. My printed trousers are a 12, my monacos are a 14, but that was partly to wear them lower for length. I think my confusion is about how things are MEANT to fit.

I don’t give a toss about vanity sizing, and I actually don’t even really care about what the label says (although it was gratifying to need 10s in M&S linen trousers). I just want to understand how things should fit! Are the harems not meant to be loose and baggy, for example?

DavetheCat2001 · 13/06/2018 16:34

Does anyone have either the Marissa top or Grecian top?

I've just ordered a pair of the cropped harems cherry which haven't arrived yet, but went for XS as have read they are on the loose side.

Hush sizing is a bit of a minefield. My size 10 Holly jeans are quite snug around the waist and there's no way I would fit into an 8, whereas the Star jeans are much looser around the waist and I can imagine an 8 might have been a better fit.

I think the Harems are meant to be loose-ish.

Laska5772 · 13/06/2018 16:42

Cherries i just got harems in xs! And they fitted nicely ( however im not keeping them due to all otber excess spending going on. I reckon you do look like a 10 now) .

Laska5772 · 13/06/2018 16:47

Ive only got the Bay dress in 14 because of norkage and it is a bit tighter ontop than the others . However my alanis dress and other maxis from this season are 12 and the marissa a 10. ( but Venice in M was too tight on the bum ) . My stevie jeans (which were a 12) re now a bit big on me

Laska5772 · 13/06/2018 16:49

Im shorter and a few lbs heavier than you tm (according to bootcamp) and carry weight pn boobs and tum. so i think you must need a size smaller than me

Ellapaella · 13/06/2018 16:57

Cherries the harems look like they are supposed to be a looser fit on the website and of course harems traditionally are a baggy trouser. I bought home the xs by mistake (had picked up a small and xs in JL) and actually prefer them more fitted. I feel
they just looked a bit better on me personally not so baggy and it also means I can dress them up.
The star jeans are not meant to be such a baggy/loose fit as the traditional boyfriend jeans (which typically have the loose leg and bum look) so I think a 10 would work better for you. I think that in the photo of you in your leopard tee and white jeans you have nailed your sizing perfectly. Those fit beautifully so maybe try and emulate that size wise if that makes sense.

ilovecherries · 13/06/2018 16:57

I’m not sure, laska, because everyone agreed with me that I needed the bigger size in the Marissa and the VBD. I think I’m so entrenched in the ‘skim not cling’ mindset that I feel really self conscious if things aren’t big on me. Both my hush maxis are 12, and the JL one I bought yesterday is a 10 but I think it’s too tight on top. I have hush tees though that are a large.

neveradullmoment99 · 13/06/2018 16:59

I have the xs in the grey cropped harems. I don't like them bagging out.
I got a refund for my blue side stripe wide leg trousers btw.

Cherries Some things can lend themselves to being bigger. T-shirts can look ok baggy. I have some things that are a 14 that look big but still ok baggy.

My raw edge linen Ts are a L and the new hobiscus faded T is a M . Ive ordered the slub T in both L and M. But i like Ts a bit loose . So a mixed bag !

ilovecherries · 13/06/2018 19:06

Ok, thanks everyone. I haven’t actually had the nerve to wear the white jeans yet as having been fretting about them being too revealing, but I will try them on again and try to use them as a bit of a yardstick.

never, that’s good, I will grit my teeth and wash mine then, although will be very disappointed if they shrink as I do love them.

ilovecherries · 13/06/2018 19:08

All my raw edge tees are an L as well, Laska, but I think they are probably, with the exception of the guava for some reason, on the big side now. I think somewhere deep in my unconscious mind, I didn’t equate weight loss with getting smaller.

neveradullmoment99 · 13/06/2018 19:40

Try washing them and then ironing them while damp. That's what they recommend. They did admit that they had shrunk, I went with the instructions on the label and it says nothing of washing then ironing while damp. It says it on the Hush website, so try that :)

Right, I am starting to bore myself banging on about sizes, so thank you if you are still there! This is the slate harems in small (orange tee) and medium (white starry tee). Both tees are large. Which do you think fits better? And are the tees ok? If you think the small I will go and throw myself on Hush’s mercy again and ask if they would be willing to exchange the unworn black and navy ones I have in medium. We’ll just draw a veil over my current pair, bought at Xmas, which are actually a large, and may need to go on ebay soon.

Whitesea · 14/06/2018 10:53

The orange is better (and the colour is very nice on you too). But before you exchange all your tees, you need to try them on because I find that they all vary in cut which affects the size that suits me.

neveradullmoment99 · 14/06/2018 10:56

I agree with whitesea. I love the orange especially on you. The harems look great too. The white one is ok - its perhaps a bit bigger but would look way better with slimmer jeans. Baggy bottoms - slim top. Slim top -baggy bottoms are best as a general rule.

neveradullmoment99 · 14/06/2018 10:58

….and you can still do slim top and slim bottoms, just not baggy top baggy bottoms - looks a bit shapeless.
